Samhall AB är en av Sveriges största arbetsgivare med flera enheter ute i landet. I Luleå finns för närvarande ca. 75 anställda på verkstadsgolvet samt tiotalet personer inom administrationen. Företagets uppgift är att, med anvisad personal från arbetsförmedlingen, legotillverka plåtdetaljer till olika fabriker och företag, som exempelvis ABB, Scania, Plannja m fl. Detta examensarbete har utförts på Peab division Väst, en del av Peab-koncernen som är ett av Sveriges största byggföretag. Studien syftar till att ur ett byggföretags perspektiv identifiera vilka områden som bör mätas med hjälp av indikatorer för att bli en hållbar samhällsbyggare.Hållbar utveckling är ett begrepp och förhållningssätt som ständigt växer och anpassas mot olika branscher. Tankesättet är dock det samma oavsett bransch, att uppfylla dagens krav och behov utan att äventyra kommande generationers möjligheter att tillgodose sina behov. Peab har fram till idag inte haft en tydlig strategi för hur företaget ska arbeta mot en hållbar utveckling, men i och med den nya visionen som togs fram hösten 2010 är tanken att företaget ska hitta ett arbetssätt att förhålla sig till. I samband med visionen framställdes en definition som bygger på begreppet hållbar utveckling och innehåller riktlinjer för en hållbar samhällsbyggare.Peab vill uppnå en hållbar produktion, där kan varje färdigt byggprojekt ses som en slutprodukt.

Volvo Hauler & Loader Division in Arvika produces wheel loaders which they deliverthroughout the world. The factory which is situated in Arvika is the largest wheel loader plant in the whole world, with its 1 100 employees. The different models stretch from L60E all theway up to the brand new L350F, with a loader capacity from six tons up to a staggering 35.The assembly of the different models are divided into three different assembly lines, Small(L60-L90), Medium (L110-L120) and Large (L150-L220). The assembly of Heavy (L350)has just been started with an upcoming pre series.This examination paper gives recommendations of improvements and necessary modifications to rationalize the pre-assembly of boom units. During the last 15 years the Swedish media market has developed a great deal, thanks to the rise of new media. Literature, articles and investigations have contributed to producing the chapter of background of this essay. How the local newspaper and its organization has changed over time is being accounted in this essay. From the newspaper being the only product on the market to now having a spread out product portfolio. By doing the qualitative interview with research representatives of six local newspapers the aimis to answer the following questions: Who were your competitors 15 years ago? Who are your competitiors today? In what way has the increased competition changed your way of working at the division of advertisement and how do you consider the the increase of mediachannels having affected the customer? How do you see the future? The main results show that all six representatives agree on the fact that the competition has increased during the last 15 years.

The purpose with this essay is to get a deeper insight into why there is a lack of male educators in Swedish preschools. I also want to know which role the male educators have in comparison to the female educators. This essay builds on four questions, which covers:The cause of the lack of males in Swedish preschoolsIf there are any gender bound expectations on male educators in the Swedish preschoolsWhat the woman educators perceive about the roles of the male educators in the Swedish preschoolsHow the male educator experience his own work in a workplace dominated by womenThe method I have used is a qualitative interview study in which I have interviewed four male educators and two woman educators from three different preschools. The result of this study shows that male educators gave different reasons to why there is a lack of male educators in Swedish childcare. According to the male educators the reason for this situation is that there is a worry to be seen as a feminine person, get singled out as a pedophile and that the childcare sector has low status.

Location-based services (LBS) contains of services helping users of finding positions of themselves or other objects. LBS applications can present information in varies types of ways, these could be threw speech, text, geographic symbols, photos etc. Not many studies have been done to examine the aspects of LBS communication and there is a demand for user and context centered mapping.The purpose of this report is to present a model for the development of user and context based services. The model will give guide lines of recommendations when implementing LBS. The different technologies that support LBS will also be noticed.

Lagen som undersöks är endast lag på breddnivå, det vill säga de lägsta divisionerna. Inom herrfotbollen undersöktes divis-ionerna 5-6 och inom damfotbollen divison 3-4. För att undersöka herrinnebandyn valde vi division 3-4 och för daminnebandyn 2-3. Vi valde att använda oss av en kvantitativ metod via enkätsvar där det skickades ut 400 enkäter till de aktiva i föreningarna och vi fick in hela 279 (69,7%) svar.

A study of paleomagnetic remanence and anisotropy of magnetic susceptibility (AMS) has been performed on the Öje-Diabase in Dalarna, Sweden, and on basic dikes associated with the alkaliquartzsyenite/granite Noran-pluton in central Sweden. Based on isolation of directions of characteristic magnetization in the basic rocks, a division into three different groups (A,B,C) has been made. Group Aconsists of dolerites of Jotnian origin, both dolerites from the Öje-Diabase and dikes associated with the Noran-pluton are included in this group, making them coeval. Group B is suspected to show a re-magnetization from the later part of the Svekonorwegian orogeny. Group C belongs to the Blekinge-Dalarna-Dolerites (BDD). Thermal demagnetization of dolerites revealed two different types of demagnetization behaviours, one where magnetite clearly was the source of the remanence, and an other with a linear decrease in magnetization intensity. The measurements of magnetic anisotropy reveals a magnetic fabric with an almost horizontal foliation and a lineation that indicates a fairly uniform NNW/ S-SE flow direction of the magma..

The object of this essay is to discuss the relationship between the definition of the concept of gender equality and attitudes towards gender equality and their consequences for gender equality measures. The point of departure is feminist political theory and interviews about attitudes towards gender equality at a department at the University of Linköping. The conclusions of this study is that there are a wide range of definitions and attitudes, and these conceptions are not necessarily the same as those being pointed out in the official gender equality policy at the University of Linköping. In this study the opinions of measures for gender equality among the interviewed are widely spread. Some finding Swedish men and women already being equal and therefore there is no need for measures, since this would result in discrimination of men since women would gain advantages from being women.

Atlas Copco Craelius som är beläget i Märsta utanför Stockholm utvecklar, tillverkar och marknadsför utrustning för undersöksborrning, grundläggning och markförstärkning.Detta examensarbete syftar till att identifiera möjliga förbättringsområden i materialhanteringen och effektivisering av materialflöden. Fokus för examensarbetet har riktats mot vilken strategi och principer som används för lagerhållningen och utformning av lagerlayouten. Examensarbetet är också en del av Atlas Copco Craelius kontinuerliga verksamhet om att ständigt utveckla och förbättra verksamheten och arbetsmetoder.I examensarbetet har en organisationsjämförelse gjorts mot både Scania och Öhlins för att nyansera infallsvinklarna och bidra med ett annat perspektiv på verksamheten.Slutligen har denna rapport författats innehållande förbättrings- och utvecklingsområden med förslag på hur materialhanteringen kan förbättras samt materialflöden effektiviseras, med reducerade ledtider och transporter samt förbättrad arbetsmiljö som positiva effekter..

This study is based on three focus group interviews with minors living in Örnsköldsviks municipality. The aim is to investigate what minor individuals want to gain more influence in that concerns their citizenship rights. It also aims to investigate what obstacles there is in their surroundings that prevent them from influencing it. I have conducted semi-structured interviews with the focus groups. The theoretical framework consist of T.H Marshalls theories about citizenship, with the division of civil, political and social rights.

Syftet med denna studie är att få ökad kunskap om vilka olika lösningstrategier elever i år 3 tillämpar när de löser ett matematiskt problem. Har eleverna utvecklingsbara strategier? Finns det elever som väljer strategier som ej är utvecklingsbara?Vi valde att använda oss av en kvalitativ undersökning där vi tolkade elevernas lösningar av två matematiska problem av varierande svårighetsgrad. Utifrån denna tolkning kunde vi dela upp lösningarna i olika lösningsstrategier som eleverna använde sig av. Undersökningen genomfördes på 89 elever på tre skolor i olika kommuner.
