The purpose of this paper is to survey the textile based proto-industrialism in Sweden in the middle of the 19th century. This case study is founded upon Anders Hansson?s pre-industrial textile production at the estate of Mölneby, Östra Frölunda in the rural district of Kind in the province of Västra Götaland.Account books from the year 1853 related to Anders Hansson?s wool fabric manufacturing have been looked into and categorized using a quantitative research method. The research has also been supplemented with a number of interviews.The result of the survey shows that Anders Hansson?s business activities fit into Mendel?s theory of proto-industrialists at a practice level.By collaborating with a merchant in Gothenburg the fabrics were traded in unknown markets, as well as in more familiar neighbouring districts.

This paper is a qualitative study on the influence of the residents in a special communitydwelling within the care system for elderly. The purpose of the study is to describe and analyse with a user perspective how particularly staff members but also a group of retired people living in this dwelling interpret and articulate the concept of resident influence. How the retirees can influence the design and the content of the activities and the organization. How today the residents influence is carried out with the ideas and visions of the future.My methods include qualitative structured, semi-structured and non-structured interviews within a general frame of a resident questionnaire. The staff members present the current situation and reflect on the reasons for obstacles for resident influence.The group of retired people who lives in structures originating in the Swedish long-term care system and homes for the elderly tends to adjust to given routines and express a low-voiced wish for increased influence.

Climate change is expected to increase the frequency and intensity of extreme weather events, with significantimplications for the financial stability of insurance markets. This study analyses how nature-related insurancepayouts and required solvency capital may develop over the period 2025?2099 under three emissions scenarios: RCP 2.6, RCP 4.5 and RCP 8.5, and what this means for the long-term sustainability of insurance as an economic institution. Using Monte Carlo simulation of a non-homogeneous Cram?r-Lundberg model, claimfrequency is modelled as a negative binomial process calibrated against SMHI's climate projections, and claimsizes are approximated by a lognormal distribution fitted to Swedish insurance data (NATY, 2015?2023).The results show that accumulated insurance payouts amount to SEK 96.7 billion under RCP 2.6, SEK 106.0billion under RCP 4.5 and SEK 131.9 billion under RCP 8.5.

Sweden has undertaken to transpose EC Directives regarding the working environment to Swedish Provisions.  In 4 April 2006, the European Commission had some criticism against the Swedish implementation of the Construction Sites Directive. The Swedish Work Environment Authority has in response to this criticism reworked the Work Environment Act and related provision about building and civil engineering work. The changes came into force 1 January 2009.These changes have resulted in some working methods and even new responsibility subjects must be reviewed. In the prison of Kumla, Sweden`s highest security classified institution, spiritual retreats are pursued since 2001. The aim is to offer the inmates a possibility to enter deeply into spiritual contemplation. This spiritual contemplation is made possible through the fact that the prisoners carry out a retreat designed after guidelines written by Ignatius of Loyola in his Spiritual Exercises. The purpose of this examination is to study how ordinary institutional life in comparison to monastic life defines and creates different attitudes and roles amongst the inmates. A secondary aim is to describe the consequences of the retreat on individual basis.

Background. Anesthetic-related death in small animal anesthesia is about ten times more common than in human anesthesia. Recent research identifies the early postoperative period as particularly risky and highlights the need for regular and careful monitoring of the veterinary patient during this period. Objective. The aims of this study were to investigate whether there are standard procedures in terms of regulated routine patient observations and record-keeping during the early postoperative period at Swedish veterinary clinics, and if there are any guidelines for monitoring the veterinary patient during recovery. Methods. A small survey including ten Swedish veterinary clinics was carried out as well as a literature review. Results.

The reason why I choose the subject ?Warts on teats of Dairy Cows? was because the herd I work with has big problems with skin-complaint on teats and udder. So I found it interesting to try to find the reason why the cows look like they do and even to find a way to relieve the trouble. The examine work included both a literature research, an experimental test, concerning a comparison of different teat sprays and also an inquiry-research about the occurrence of warts in practical herds in order to collect as much facts as possible. Three companies, selling different types of teat disinfectants, were willing to sponsor the teat dipping experiment. The aim of the experiment was to see if any special disinfectant had more pronounced healing effects on teat warts. The date for the experiment was 18th December 2004 to 22nd January 2005, which was going to be 5 weeks.The experiment was carried out in the herd of Ola and Eskil Carlsson in Fjärlöv, Hässleholm. The three compared teat spray chemicals were; Nova Viri Sun, Nardosept, and BlockadeTM.
