This thesis has been performed as a part of the Bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering and Management at the School of Engineering in Jönköping. The thesis is written on behalf of Pallco AB, which is an engineering company that performs subcontracting, surface treatment, and assembly of components, mainly in steel and aluminium. The thesis focuses on identifying and analyzing the customer order fulfillment process of three customers at Pallco AB.The main objective of the thesis is to distinguish time differences in the company?s administrative work for each of the three customers. Furthermore, Lean thinking is following as a thread through the whole thesis.

The meaning of the concept of psychosocial treatment is ambiguous. The purpose of this study was to examine how professionals within some care institutions, which provide methadone, buprenorphine or naloxone treatment, regard and carry out the psychosocial features of such treatment. Central issues discussed were; how personnel approach the psychosocial features of the treatment, what personnel regard as a focus in the psychosocial treatment, what conditions personnel consider affect treatment positively in order for it to be successful and how personnel see the relation between the medical and psychosocial features of the treatment. The method used was interviews with nine professionals in six qualitative interviews. The theoretical perspectives and concepts used in our analysis were; the theory of biological dependence, an organizational perspective, Prochaska and DiClemente's Stages of Change Model, the concept of individual reality and the concept of marginal conflict.Results show that the conditions most important for successful treatment are; that the patient has a place to live, an occupation, motivation, that the patient take responsibility for his/hers progress and have realistic expectations about the effects of the medicine.

Syftet med vår studie var att undersöka hur faktorerna tillgångsstruktur, lönsamhet, företagsstorlek och tillväxt kan förklara variationer i svenska företags skuldsättning. Studien syftade också till att undersöka skillnader i faktorernas förklaringskapacitet mellan olika sektorer. Utifrån tidigare studier och teorier om faktorernas förväntade relation till företags skuldsättning utarbetade vi egna arbetshypoteser över våra förväntade samband. För att analysera hur våra valda faktorer kan förklara variationen i företags skuldsättning utförde vi regressionsanalyser med två definitioner av skuldsättning som beroende variabel. Sammanlagt samlades data från 59 företag in för en tidsperiod på fem år som legat till grund för de utförda regressionsanalyserna.

AbstractCompanies in the Swedish process industry has for a long time spent a lot of capital in high-tech development, which have given them increased ability to compete with high quality and excellent technical knowledge, which has given them greater opportunities to grow on the market. But it?s not enough to achieve success with new products and service; it must also be consistent what market wants and preferably something exceptional. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that are predominantly success factors and how they may affect the sales target of a new product, in this case Frövi White. Another objective of the study was to examine how Korsnäs Frövi communicates and transforms information as requests and demands from customers into refined material. To obtain relevant information to the study several interviews with respondents from most of the value chain in Korsnäs Frövi has been carry out.

The idea to this bachelor thesis was born after carefully following the coverage of Johan Persson and Martin Schibbye in Swedish media during their imprisonment in Ethiopia from June 2011 to September 2012. Based on our interest we designed two questions to answer throughout the thesis. These are:(1) How are Johan Persson and Martin Schibbye portrayed as journalists in the discussion about them that has taken place in Swedish media?(2) How is the journalistic profession described in the discussion about Johan Persson and Martin Schibbye in Swedish media? To answer these questions we decided to analyse texts that can be defined as the genre of opinion journalism, which all came from Swedish printed media. We have chosen 16 texts to analyse which show the variety of ways to write about Persson and Schibbye in the chosen genre during the chosen period of time. Opinion journalism is what newspapers use to attract readers, as they want to supplement the news coverage with comments and analysis from ?experts?. Persson and Schibbye were imprisoned in Ethiopia in June of 2011, and weren?t released until 15 months later, in September of 2012. To analyse our material we have amongst others used theories regarding social constructionism, representation, discourse, the journalistic identity and the journalistic ideals that exist in Swedish society.

The company Bergteamet, Boliden, Sweden, is installing ventilation shafts of the Garpenberg mine. For such work a platform is needed which you can stand on and work from. The Shaft Reinforcement Team at Bergteamet performs the installation work and is the sponsor of the platform. The project described in this report is performed at the department MEC, Mining Equipment Construction, which has been given the task to design and construct the platform, customized for the current shaft. After this the platform is manufactured and inspected at the workshop at Bergteamet.The design work was carried out as follows:- After an initial meeting a requirement specification was worked out, describing the problem and previous experiences of platforms and requirements for the design and equipment.- A concept sketch was developed with consideration of surrounding factors.- A constructed 3D model was presented along with the choice of materials.

Business valuation is something that has been more general and discussion around this subject is very common. The discussions often revolve the various principles and procedures that a business appraiser can apply when a valuation of a business should be done. When there are different evaluation methods there are also resulting in an assumption that there are not so easy to create a complete objective business value. The individual evaluator choice of method will determine the result of the business value. The global world for each business has been more uncertain and turbulent/changeable which have tended to exacerbate the work for the evaluator to determine a business value.

The aim of this essay is to make clear, whether or not, textile research is visualised in a wider archaeological discussion today. The aim is then to discuss what the archaeological and textile technological research situation in Scandinavia looks like today, and how that relate to what has happened in these two research fields during the years. This essay also has a purpose to find out if there is a need of visualising textile research more in future archaeology, how that shall be done, and what that can possibly supply to our general picture of the prehistory.The head questions are discussed in the light of three investigations. The first is a study of literature used in archaeological education at five Swedish universities. The other two consists of a study which is aimed to find out how textile research results are published, and one in which archaeologists and textile researchers have answered questions about how they experience the relation between archaeology and textile research.There has also been done a comparison between interpretations of the archaeological material from the site of Löddeköpinge in west Scania.

This essay is a case study on the Latin American regional integration project called ALBA.

Vi lever idag i vad som populärt brukar kallas för ett informationssamhälle, vilket innebär att det i många företag förekommer en avsevärd mängd företagsspecifik information. Det kan röra sig om specialutvecklad källkod, om affärsplaner, kunddatabaser, organisationslösningar med mera. Sådan företagsspecifik information kan skyddas både genom immaterialrättsliga regler och genom de regler om skydd för företagshemligheter som finns införda i svensk lagstiftning. Dessa regelverk är i svensk rätt intimt förknippade med en syn på information som något abstrakt och icke-fysiskt, något som i sig självt inte kan ägas på samma sätt som lös egendom med fysisk substans. Trots att information därmed inte kan ägas, i ordets traditionella betydelse, har lagstiftaren ansett att det i vissa fall är berättigat att inte se information som allmän egendom, utan att det finns anledning att skydda informationens rättighetshavare från obehörigas tillgrepp.

Technology based self-service (TBSS) used in supermarket self-scanning checkouts is a relatively new phenomenon in Sweden. Studies on TBSS as a self- checkout device have been formerly carried out but with focus on the customer perspective. The authors therefore saw a challenge in covering the self-scan checkout concept, from a company perspective. The purpose of this research paper is to investigate, through a management perspective, the changes brought about by implementing an innovative TBSS system in Swedish supermarkets, and its effect on the competitiveness of the company. This is done by presenting and linking the theoretical framework and empirical study in the research.

Vad gäller reglerna om tidigare års underskott utgör koncernbidragsspärren en spärregel till den annars gällande huvudregeln att tidigare års förluster får kvittas mot framtida vinster. Koncernbidragsspärren inträder vid ägarförändringar och innebär förenklat att ett underskottsföretag är förhindrat att, under en period om fem år, kvitta kvarstående underskott mot koncernbidrag som underskottsföretaget mottar från företag som inte ingick i koncernen före ägarförändringen (nya företag). Underskott som uppkommer efter ägarförändringen får dock kvittas mot koncernbidrag från nya företag.Uppsatsen syftar till att analysera och granska reglerna om koncernbidragsspärren ur ett företagsperspektiv, vilket innebär att uppsatsen ser till reglernas bakomliggande syfte och till hur reglerna fungerar vid en praktisk tillämpning. Uppsatsen har ett särskilt fokus kring i vilken turordning koncernbidrag ska beaktas vid avräkning mot befintliga underskott när ett underskottsföretag mottar koncernbidrag både från gamla och nya företag i en koncern. Franchise är idag en vanlig samarbetsform för att utveckla och expandera affärskoncept. Med franchise avses samarbetet mellan två näringsidkare, franchisegivare och franchisetagare, vilka utbyter prestationer såsom kunskap, erfarenhet och koncept gentemot royalty och avgifter. Samarbetsformen härstammar främst från USA och områdets regleringar, både i Europa och i Sverige, har inspirerats av USA. I Sverige finns sedan år 2006 en specialreglering avseende franchise, vilken reglerar ett minimi-informationsflöde före ett franchiseavtals ingående. Den amerikanska reglering som främst reglerar franchise är the Franchise Rule och den myndighet som utformat denna reglering samt har tillsynsansvar för att den efterföljs är Federal Trade Commission.För franchiseavtalets parter råder avtalsfrihet, vilket har inneburit att den svenska lagstiftaren valt att inte detaljreglera området.

I dagens moderna tjänsteföretag har kunskap och intern marknadsföring blivit allt mer relevant i syfte att förbättra företagets lönsamhet. Humankapitalet är en kritisk resurs i tjänsteföretag. Vi har därför valt att undersöka detta ämne med fokus på personalmotivation och belöning. Det finns många olika alternativ på hur detta interna arbete kan utföras, varpå vi har valt att redogöra för några av dem. Teorierna som använts har bland annat förklarat den strategiska ledningens roll, samt innebörden av företagskultur, kommunikation och medarbetarnas värderingar.
