The purpose of this Bachelor thesis is to examine how user-friendly the OPAC of the Märsta public library is considered to be.Theoretical basis are HCI and Allwoods definition of usability. Issues are: Is the OPAC suited to its task? Is the OPAC user-friendly? How well does a user accept the OPAC? and What degree of competence is shown by users of the OPAC? The source material consists of six interviews in the form of .avi files. The method I have chosen is qualitative semi-structured interview form. The result is that, based on Carl Martin Allwood?s defini-tion and with exception for the using of help-resources, the usability of Märsta?s library OPAC can be considered less good..

Denna C-uppsats kommer att handla om Skuggan i ett förändringsarbete. Under de senaste tio åren har det skett stora förändringar inom den offentliga sektorn. Eftersom jag arbetar där och dagligen möter människor som upplever frustration, och maktlöshet, över alla stora förändringar som sker, kan de vara intressant att koppla följderna av denna stora förändring till ett av de centrala begreppen inom den jungianska psykologin, nämligen Skuggan. Skuggbegreppet myntades av upphovsmannen till den jungianska psykologin C. G.

Ansatsen på denna uppsats är att undersöka om de går att identifiera arketyper enligt de förutsättningar Carl Gustav Jung anger i musik och vilka krav som ställs för att arketyperna ska framträda. Författarens ambition är också att se om de presenterade resultaten kan användas som förklaringsmodell till de fenomen som bland annat uppträder i musikterapisituationer.En betydelsefull utgångspunkt för arbetet är att undersöka om vaggvisan kan betraktas som en symbol i jungiansk mening och därigenom fungera som en länk till det kollektiva omedvetna. För att vaggvisan ska få sin numinösa laddning krävs emellertid att tre krav är uppfyllda:Först och främst krävs att utövaren (föräldern) är helt och hållet närvarande i situationen.Den musik som produceras måste innehålla arketypiska element.Mottagaren måste känna sig utvald.Utifrån det material som presenteras kan vaggvisan accepteras som en symbol i jungiansk mening, vilket också banar väg för att lansera en arketyp som författaren kallar: ?Dansknytningens arketyp?. Utgångspunkten för denna arketyp är att betrakta musiken som tonsatt rörelse och att vaggvisan i sin djupaste mening har en starkt anknytande funktion.

Participation as Pedagogy ? Imagined Race and the Exhibit of Swedish Peoples-Types.This essay will analyse and give a deeper picture of the ?The Exhibit of Swedish People-Types? by focusing on the pedagogical ideals that formed the exhibit as an participatory media. The exhibit was led by the famous race-biologist Herman Lundborg and toured Sweden in 1919 displaying the racial constitution of the Swedish population using material gathered by the public itself. The exhibit has been described as an important tool in popularising eugenics in Swedish society during the early 20th century with the ambition of gaining funds to create the first race-biological institute and to influence policy-making. Nevertheless there has not been a single study which has focused solely on the exhibit and how the pedagogical ideals that permeated it affected the relation between the public and the media itself nor the political implications of this relation.

The aim of this paper is to examine how the press describes the public and private role of the Swedish monarch in texts that report about the biography Carl XVI Gustaf ? den motvillige monarken (Sjöberg et al. 2010) when it is published in November 2010. The examined period ranges between the days just before the release and a fortnight after. The analysis is limited to standard Swedish papers: a daily, Svenska Dagbladet, and an evening paper, Expressen.Questions asked in the study are: In what ways do the analysed texts raise a discussion about the monarchy?s importance or function in the society of today, that is a public debate on the monarchy? To what extension are status symbols used in the constructing of royalty, that is what Jürgen Habermas (2003) describes as representative publicity? What similarities and differences are found when comparing the news articles in the daily and in the evening paper?The method used to answer the aim and questions is the critical discourse analysis, as Norman Fairclough (1995) describes it, and the theoretical perspective of the essay is Jürgen Habermas? (2003) theory about the bourgeois public sphere.The result shows that the news articles in the daily unsurprisingly construct only a public who wants to debate on the monarchy.

Syftet med denna studie är att bidra till ökad kunskap om kommunikationsbrister inom en utbildningsförvaltning och hur man kan synliggöra dem. I denna uppsats har valet av genomförande grundat sig på den kvalitativa metoden genom intervjustudie. Utifrån de elva intervjuer har i resultatet kommit fram att kommunikations begrepp är svårt att definiera men att en rak kommunikation och öppenheten mellan parterna är väsentlig för en god kommunikation. This master thesis is about a place that has a story to tell. Olsson?s garden came about when Mr Carl Oscar Olsson acquired a piece of land in Landalabergen in the beginning of the 1930's and at that time he started his industrious work of uniting much of Sweden's flora in his garden. Since the very beginning Olsson's garden has played a lot of different rolls in a variety of situations and meant different things for different people. Today one can find traces from Mr Olsson's life and deeds in the garden.

This study has been conducted in order to try to clarify how one as a piano teacher, by the choice of teaching material and method of teaching, can influence the process of learning. The study deals with novice teaching and more specifically first semester teaching. I have studied three books, their methods and how they take on the task of introducing music and piano playing to novice students. I studied three groups of novice piano students during the autumn of 2005. For twelve lessons each class worked with one of the following three books: "Vi spelar piano 1" by Carl-Bertil Agnestig, "Pianogehör 1" by Åsa Söderqvist- Spering and "Spela piano med ADAM".
