Bakgrund: Caring (vårdande vård) är kärnan inom nursing (omvårdnad) och det sker i mötet mellan sjuksköterska och patient. Det bygger på en intim, personlig relation som på många sätt påminner och en vänskapsrelation dock skiljer sig denna relation från en autentisk vänskap då det ingår i sjuksköterskans ansvar att sörja för patienten. Att sörja för patienten på ett Caring sätt och samtidigt upprätthålla en professionell distans är svårt och sjuksköterskor kan bli för engagerade med exempelvis utbrändhet som följd. Hur detta ska undvikas utan att förlora Caring är dock inte utrett. Balansakten mellan närhet och distans är således komplicerad.

The aim of this study was to increase the knowledge about if and how the National Value System?s goal of a life with dignity for the elderly pervades the work in home care organisations. The study was based on a qualitative research method and was conducted through interviews with professional care givers in home care organisations, there were five individual interviews and one pair interview. The background for this study was the National Value System for the eldercare that was introduced in 2011. The theory of New Public Management and the concept of Rationality of Caring were used to analyse the result.

The object with the study of this literature was to describe differente programs of care and patients and relatives experience and opinion about the Caring for patients with Anorexia Nervosa. The method the author used was a descriptive literature study based on imperial studies. The studies were based on 15 scientific articles within the chosen field. The results shows that these patients hade special needs to be seen and heard as individuals, involved in their own treatment, and have good contact with the Caring staff. The study also shows which methods were mostly appreciated involving nurses, patients and relatives.

Background: Studies showed differences in attitudes towards patients with mental illness in nurses who worked in somatic care compared to nurses who worked in psychiatric care. The nurses in somatic care stated more negative attitudes to mental illness in relation to the nurses in psychiatric care. Studies also showed that work experience affected attitudes towards mental illness. Nurses who often came in contact with people with mental illness had less negative attitudes and prejudices against mental illness. Aim: The aim was to examine the experiences from nurses in somatic care, Caring for patients who also have a psychiatric diagnosis.

Caring for children at hospital with palliative care needs arouses different reactions in nurses and depends on what prior knowledge and experience nurses have. To besides shift focus from to care children palliative to care curative is further a strain and an emotional changeover. The aim of this study was to illuminate nurse?sperceptions about Caring for children at hospital with palliative care needs, and how they shift focus of care between children with palliative care needs and children with curative care needs. The study has a qualitative approach and data were collected with interviews from two focus groups.

Dementia is a concept that describes different conditions when memory and cognitive abilities degenerate. Approximately 140 000 persons in Sweden suffers from some kind of dementia. Many are stricken with behavioral and psychological symptoms of dementia, BPSD. The aim of this study was to illuminate nursing staff?s experiences of Caring for persons suffering from dementia and BPSD within municipal and institutional care.

Jordan is a developing country and there are ten Palestine refugee camps throughout Jordansince the Arab-Israel conflict in 1948 and the Arab-Israel war in 1967. The camps are run byUnited Nation Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA)which is the main provider of health care in the camp. Today, the fourth generation ofrefugees lives in the camps which are extremely overpopulated. The social and economicconditions in the camps are poor. The nurses' workload in the Health care centre in the campis getting harder and UNRWA's resources are getting strained due to funding shortfalls.

Alzheimer?s disease has increasing effects on the Swedish population. Now, about 90 000 swedes have been diagnosed with the disease. Many of these persons are cared for by someone close to them. The aim of this study is to increase understanding for the situation and experiences of the persons Caring for their affected partner and to examine which support they are given by the public sector.

Background: Multiple myeloma is a malignant incurable cancer disease associated with severe chronic pain. The nurse has several important roles in the management of patients with multiple myeloma. This study focuses on nurse´s roles including the Caring of pain relief.Aim: The aim of this study was to elucidate the nurse?s role in giving care to patients with multiple myeloma and associated chronic pain.Method: This literature study was based on scientific articles.Results: The nurse is in a key position to facilitate ongoing adequate pain and psychosocial assessment of patients with multiple myeloma. The study presents ways of relieving pain and suffering via different ways of Caring management.

 The aim of this study was to explore Swedish ambulance nurses experiences in Caring for sick or wounded children.Method: A qualitative interview study with a descriptive/ explorative design. The sample consists of 10 ambulance nurses, both men and women, with varying years within ambulance service. Trough unstructured questions the data was collected. The data was analyzed with qualitative content analysis.Results: Compared to previous published studies the results of this study shows a broader perspective on ambulance nurses experiences in Caring for sick or wounded children. The experiences were focused on following five categories:o The character of the alarm o The organization of the work o The specific in the meeting and treating of a child in an ambulance o Children who dies or suffer from a trauma o To work in an ambulance and at the same time being a parent Conclusion: It is always special to take care of a sick or wounded child.

Bakgrund:Beröring används inom sjukvården som komplement till olika behandlingar som exempelvis taktil massage. Vid beröring frisätts ämnen i kroppen som gör att vi känner välbefinnande. Beröring är också en viktig del i den icke-verbala kommunikationen.Syftet är att beskriva hur beröring som kommunikation påverkar vårdrelationen.Metod:Detta är en litteraturöversikt där metoden innebar att kvalitativa artiklar söktes fram med sökord som touching, nursing och Caring. Dessa analyserades genom att söka gemensamma nämnare och skapa teman. Totalt har tolv artiklar analyserats.Resultat:Till resultatet framkom fyra teman: Beröring som tröst, Beröring för att fördjupa relationen, Beröring som maktfaktor och Beröringens sexuella aspekter.Diskussion:Beröring är ett medel för att trösta samt skapa och upprätthålla vårdrelationen.
