The ambition to use evidence based treatments has spread within the field of Swedish social work. The number of treatments with claim to being evidence based has grown but the research concerning implementation; the procedures being used to introduce new methods in organizations and assure that the method is being used appropriately and continuously, is scarce. The aim of this study was to examine the implementation of Functional Family Therapy (FFT), being an evidence based treatment, in an organization providing social services in the public sector, in Sweden. We used a qualitative research design and conducted interviews with persons involved in the implementation of FFT in the social services in a town in the south of Sweden. We used the practice guidelines provided in Evidence Based Practice (EBP) together with recently published meta- analyses of implementation research, in the field of social work, to examine the implementation of FFT, as being an evidence based treatment.

Suicide and attempted suicide frequently occur in society today and represent a major public health problem. In inpatient psychiatric care the nurse have a central role when caring for suicidal patients. Few systematic studies exists that address the nurse?s practical work with these patients. The purpose of this study was therefore to describe the nursing care of suicidal patients as it was perceived by registered clinical expert nurses.

The purpose of this study was to examine the impact of the parent training The Incredible Years in clinical settings. The study included 33 families in clinical practice. There were two parts to the study; a main part with a before and after measurement, and a follow-up study on 12 children one year later. On baseline the children (3-9 years) as a group were on the borderline clinical range, (M = 61.8), with 70 % of the children in the borderline or clinical range. The childrens emotional and behavioral problems were measured with Child Behavior Checklist (CBCL).

Skolan som spelplats för kultur- och identitetspolitik står i fokus för denna uppsats. En utgångspunkt är att den politik som styr skolan även har inverkan på, och är en produkt av, de diskurser som råder i samhället när det gäller dessa frågor. Min undersökning är baserad på situationen i Guatemala. Där finns sedan 2005 en nationell politisk strategi kring detta, uttryckt i styrdokumentet "Interkulturell tvåspråkig utbildning", som har varit material för den kritiska diskursanalys jag här genomför. Uppsatsen innehåller även en jämförelse med lärares tankar kring detta på plats i Guatemala, baserat på vistelse och materialinsamling där.

The aim of this essay is to examine three separate Swedish public libraries and their respective websites on the grounds of the usability sciences. I firstly had to summarize the main properties of the usability-field in order to gain an extended knowledge of its purposes and possible usage for today?s library systems. I was then able to apply the extended knowledge in the examination of the three library websites and the purpose of determining whether or not they were designed according to the standards set by the usability-sciences.Usability is a rather new science that deals with the dissection and examination of computer-based systems, in order to find the key components that make systems user-friendlier. With user needs being the main focus of its research, usability tries to meet all the different needs of the modern user and construct systems that are less system-centered and more user-centered.

Denna undersökning syftar till att studera Kinas allt tilltagande engagemang i Afrika, genom att titta på utbytet med Zimbabwe som ett empiriskt fall. Kinas växande industri har fått landet att söka förbindelser för att säkra det kontinuerliga flöde av råvaror som måste till för att trygga behovet. Zimbabwe besitter liksom många delar av den afrikanska kontinenten ansenliga mängder outnyttjade naturresurser, vilka lockat till sig den asiatiska jätten och som etablerat sig med stor framgång. Vad man måste fråga sig är vad denna handelsrelation innebär för Zimbabwe. För att besvara detta utgår vi från världssystemanalysen, genom vilken stater kan klassificeras och ställas i relation till varandra i syfte att undersöka utbytets jämnhet d.v.s.

According to the Swedish Red Cross, there are over 40 million people fleeing from war and conflict around the world. Some of these individuals are suffering from a disorder named PTSD (Post Traumatic Disorder Syndrome). This disorder is caused by previous experience incurred by war, conflict and violence. My intention with this study has been to increase the knowledge about refugees in Sweden suffering from PTSD syndrome. I have performed a study based on a project named Exigo.

The aim of the study was to focus on well-being and sexuality for a woman in a couple?s relationship. Seven women were interviewed and the analysis was carried out with a phenomenological approach based on lifeworld theory. The respondents reported their lived experiences of well-being. The result is summarized in five constituents: the relationship?s common living-space, looking for companionship, the relationship as touching, the intimacy of the relationship and the importance of other people for the relationship.

Background:Alzheimer´s disease is a so-called degenerative dementia in which brain cells gradually degenerate and die. The disease causes memory disorders and the trait of character disappears. Alzheimer´s disease also affects the related parties that may take a great responsibility. Related caregivers are entitled to support from healthcare. Aim:The aim of the study was to describe the experiences of being related when caring for a person suffering from Alzheimer´s disease.

Syftet med litteraturstudien var att beskriva vilka faktorer som i omvårdnadsforskningen beskrivs som bidragande faktorer till akut delirium. Syftet var vidare att beskriva vilka omvårdnadsåtgärder som omvårdnadsforskningen tar upp som kan minska risken för uppkomst av akut delirium. Resultatet baserades på vetenskapliga artiklar som söktes i följande databaser: Elin@dalarna, BlackwellSynergy, PubMed och EBSCO host. Följande sökord användes: delirium, acute, elderly, nursing, patients, caring, management, confusional state, needs. Artiklarna granskades enligt en granskningsmall med avseende på vetenskaplig kvalité.

In this study I examine the representation of masculinity in the manga, Naruto. The manga is about the orphan Naruto, who, together with other children goes to a ninja school. Boys and girls study and practice together, at first sight seemingly without emphasized gender differences. As the story continues, the gender differences are, however, quite obvious and to the boys advantage.I find the difference between Naruto and other popular culture ususally presented to pre-bubertal and teenage boys to be considerable. Whereas the domination of women and the message that you can get as far as you wish, are common in American and west produced popular culture as well as in Naruto, the difference lies in how the success is achieved. The men in Naruto reach their goals by allowing their feelings to be seen and expressed.

Människan som är i behov av vårdande inom omvårdnad behöver pedagogiskt lärande i form av stöd från sjuksköterskan inför de frågor och utmaningar de ställs inför. Hur pedagogiskt lärande utformas i olika vårdsituationer är ännu inte tillräckligt vetenskapligt utforskat, vilket gör att det är viktigt att kartlägga problematiken kring bristen på pedagogiskt lärande i omvårdnad. Syftet var att identifiera vad pedagogiskt lärande är inom omvårdnad. Metoden som använts är en litteraturstudie med 8 vetenskapliga artiklar som lades till grund för resultatet. Resultatet visade sex olika underteman; pedagogiska brister, pedagogisk innovation, sjuksköterskan, patientens livsvärld, pedagogisk ömsesidighet samt pedagogisk omvårdnad och som bildade huvudtemat ?Med andras ögon?.

Värdighet är en viktig del i omvårdnaden som ofta negligeras. Värdigheten hotas i ögonblicket då patienten inkommer till vårdavdelningen. Trots ett behov finns det inga klara riktlinjer för hur sjuksköterskan ska handla i bevarandet av patienters värdighet. En litteraturstudie som utgår från humanvetenskapen genomfördes för att få djupare kunskap och förståelse om bevarande av värdighet hos patienter. Syftet var att beskriva hur patienters värdighet bevaras inom omvårdnad.

The aim of this Master's thesis is to study whether bibliometrics can serve as a method to analyse the humanities.To investigate this a literature study was conducted that examined previous studies concerning bibliometrics and the humanities. Furthermore a bibliometric analysis of comparative literature was carried out. These research findings were then further examined through the perspective of theories on intellectual and social organization of the scienceThe bibliometrical study includes 38 literature journals (11 855 articles in total) which were downloaded from ISI's Web of Science. The material was analysed by using co-citation analysis and co-word analysis. The results of the study are presented in five co-citation maps.

An ageing population calls for enlarged needs of care and treatments that is followed by an increased demand on social and medical care. Present organization and structure are not adjusted to these new requirements. Due to this fact, necessary alterations ought to be made between and within the different institutional and non-institutional care actors. This work should be settled locally. In this study, the aim was to describe "Chealth care nearby" as being a new standard of care as well as investigate its significance in the co-operation and collaboration between different care actors.
