Kan Urban Computing influera Sport-IT? : En studie om nästa generations coachingverktyg

The Swedish government?s objective regarding information technology is to be world-leading in using the possibilities that digitization provides. In some aspects this has already been done, but in some areas much is yet to be accomplished. Although sports and recreational fitness activities are amongst the fastest growing areas of personal and consumer-oriented cloud computing-based technologies around the globe, there are areas within the genre that?s not evolving as quickly.

Ur en annan synvinkel : Om unga med synnedsättning och vad som inverkar på deras gymnasieval

The study deals with young people with visual impairment and their choices of upper secondary school, what is behind and how they are affected by other aspects and other people around them. It also describes how these students experience the career counseling they received for the election. This has been the purpose of the study and was examined through qualitative method and interviews with five young people aged 15 to 21 years with severe visual impairment or blindness. The results and conclusion is that these young people are greatly affected by their parents in choice of upper secondary school and that the school?s attitude to the pupil has a major impact on whether the pupil chooses the school.

Coaching på AIC? En studie om arbetssökandes förväntningar och deras respektive coachens uppfattning av coaching

Studiens syfte är att ta reda på de arbetssökandes respektive coachens förväntningar, och även vilken roll de arbetssökande tillskriver coacherna på Arbets- och Integrationscenter (AIC) i Malmö. Examensarbetet är skrivet utifrån den kvalitativa metoden och är en intervjustudie med sammanlagt åtta intervjuer då sju intervjuer med arbetssökande och en intervju med en coach. Den tidigare forskningen behandlar den sökandes förväntningar på vägledningen. I Kristina Johanssons uppsats som handlar om vägledningen ur ett sökande perspektiv studerar hon den sökandes förväntningar samt hur förväntningarna på vägledningen uppnåtts eller ej. I Anders Lovéns avhandling handlar om elevers förväntningar och möten med vägledare i grundskolan.

Bibliotekarier i privat sektor

The aim of this thesis is to accomplish an understanding on how librarians experience their professional role at private companies. The study is based on qualitative interviews with persons who have a degree in Library and Information science, but does not work as an ordinary librarian. To answer why the respondents work at private companies, this thesis dwells on how the education in library and information science prepares their students to face an alternative career; why the respondents wants to work at private firms instead of a library; if the salary is a key factor in order to choose a career; if the respondents think the companies appreciate their qualifications, and finally, if the respondents think they intrude on other professions' territory? Working at a private company, with a degree in library- and information science, is not, according to the respondents, easy. Although appreciated by their knowledge in the field of information, the interviewees think that the title librarian is hard to cope with.

Jobbcoachers inverkan på motivationen hos arbetssökande

Studien syftade till att undersöka om det fanns en skillnad i upplevd motivation mellanarbetssökande som hade en intern eller extern jobbcoach. Samt om ålder hade någon betydelse och ifall motivationsförändringen gav resultat genom fler sökta jobb. 42 arbetssökande svarade på en enkät med 28 frågor om motivation och jobbcoaching. Resultatet visade ingen skillnad i motivation mellan arbetssökande oavsett om de hade intern eller extern jobbcoach. Däremot blev äldre mer motiverade än yngre.

Ett högre uppdrag : om ledarskap för studie- och yrkesorienteringen i grundskolan

Denna studie har haft som syfte att belysa ledarskapet i grundskolan avseende den studie- och yrkesorienterande verksamheten samt förhållandet mellan ledarskap, personalens engagemang och verksamhetens resultat. Avsikten har bland annat varit att synliggöra om skolorna har ett reellt ledarskap avseende verksamheten eller inte. Bedömningsgrunderna för ett reellt ledarskap har inspirerats av den transformativa ledarskapsteorin. Studien baseras på enkätsvar från 107 yrkesverksamma studie- och yrkesvägledare i Stockholms, Skånes och Västerbottens län. Resultatet visar att den stora majoriteten skolor saknar ett reellt ledarskap avseende verksamhetsområdet samtidigt som flera studie- och yrkesvägledare säger sig vilja inta en ledande funktion för detta.

En studie av coachers syn på framgångsrik coachning

Studiens syfte är att kartlägga begreppet coachning samt att undersöka vilka faktorer som utmärker framgångsrik coachning ur coachernas egna synpunkter. Grunden till undersökningen är att allt fler företag använder sig av coachning då dagens förändringstakt är snabb inom arbetslivet och i samhället. Coachning härstammar från den positiva psykologins rörelse och omfattar numera flera underarter såsom chefscoachning, karriärcoachning, relations- coachning. En kvalitativ personintervju gjordes med 19 stycken coacher och resultatet visade att de mest framgångsrika faktorerna för god coachning var personkemi, att inge förtroende, att vara närvarande, empati, lyhördhet och att kunna ställa kraftfulla frågor. Egenskaper som lyftes fram var självkänsla, självförtroende, att få bättre balans i livet, att hitta sig själv och att sätta gränser.Key words: Coaching, coach, personal growth, self-training.

Träning med mål och coachning för patienter med knäartros

Aim: To investigate if physical exercise in combination with coaching will reduce pain and improve knee function in patients with mild to moderate osteoarthritis in the knee compared to physical exercise alone.Method: The study consisted of 42 patients who were randomized to either an intervention group or a control group. Both groups followed a standardized training program at home, but the intervention group received additional support with regard to the aim of their training, as well as extra coaching during the training period of ten weeks. A Visual Analog Scale (VAS) was used to evaluate the patients? pain. A 10 metre walking test, the Index of Muscle Function (IMF) and the Knee injury and Osteoarthritis Outcome Score (KOOS) were also used to evaluate knee function.

Personlighetens inverkan på aktivt och passivt jobbsökande, karriärambition och arbetstillfredställelse

Previous research has focused limited attention on how personality affects job search for university educated people in work and no studies have focused on the difference between active and passive job seekers. This survey-based study that examined university educated economists and engineers with 5-25 years of experience, showed that career ambition mediated active job search for the personality dimensions of openness, agreeableness and extraversion and also gave clear evidence that active job seekers have lower levels of job satisfaction, and higher levels of career ambition, agreeableness and extraversion, compared with passive job seekers. These findings provide a more nuanced picture of the impact of different recruitment strategies and provide a starting point for in-depth studies on passive job seekers.

Varför lyckas inte alla? : En studie på Hantverksprogrammet Frisör och Florist om skillnader mellan hög- och lågpresterande elever.

Our purpose with this study was to investigate whether there was any difference between high and low performing students from selected aspects such as choice of studies, achievement, self-image, motivation, confidence and career choices.A training professional in today's schools requires knowledge of how young people think about their lives for us to help students develop both high-and low-performing students. Students have different conditions, but no matter good or bad conditions, each individual pupil must be allowed to develop.The concepts used in the study are of study, self-image, motivation, achievement in the future and career choices. In the background, describes these concepts through literature study. The method we have used was semi-structured interviews. Which means a fixed structure, but with room for follow-up questions.The results of our study indicate that there were clear differences between high-and low-performing students.

Mot arbetslivet -  en studie om samverkan mellan Arbetsförmedlingen och gymnasiesärskolornas studie- och yrkesvägledare

The number of students who finished special upper secondary school for pupils with intellectual disabilities without an employment has drastically decreased over the last decades. The purpose of this paper is to increase the knowledge of how career counselors at special upper secondary schools collaborate with the Employment Service, and how the special upper secondary school prepares their pupils for working life. The collection of data started with a national questionnaire survey which was directed to career counselors at schools.The result shows that the collaboration appears foremost in the pupils last year in special upper secondary school, and that the special upper secondary schools do not use the Employment Service's assistance to any great extent. In addition, the collaborative process consists of both inhibiting and promoting factors.The results also indicates that the collaboration between the special upper secondary schools and the local labor market can be developed more for the pupils to gain experience from working life..

Studieval och yrkesval : En jämförande studie om elevers val på Teknikprogrammet respektive El- och energiprogrammet.

The purpose of this study is to understand the factors that are affecting students at the Technology and Electricity- and energy programs in their choice of studies and vocation. The study is a comparative case study and quantitative method has been used in the form of questionnaires. The result shows that students do not like to be affected by another person but believes that they themselves have made their choice. Interest turns out to be the biggest influence factor of choice for both students at the Technology and Electricity- and energy program. For Electricity- and energy students have also access to work had some impact.The parents' education level was higher for Technician students and their parents worked with occupations requiring university degrees.

Vad är det som gör att killar väljer teknik och tjejer frisör

The properties of this material has been studied and it was found that there is very little difference in what affect students in there choice of school, studies and career. Boys who choose hairdressing and styling differ more than girls who choose a career in technics. This is a surprising result which we didn´t expect. In researching background material we learned that it should differ more in perspective of gender. We have compiled the material around young people's choices to high school.

Karriärplanering via e-learning, "K-modellen" : en empirisk studie

Organisationer med dess ledare intresserar sig i allt större utsträckning för att ha anställda som har en balans i sin arbets- och livssituation. Ett sätt att hjälpa och stötta individen med att hitta harmoni mellan arbete och fritid är att erbjuda så kallad karriärplanering. Det traditionella sättet att jobba med karriärplanering, det vill säga individen ansikte mot ansikte med en samtalspartner, är inget nytt, men alltsedan senare delen av 1990-talet är det också möjligt att via e-learning genomföra karriärplanering. Att utifrån e-learning inhämta kunskap, kräver stor självdisciplin och prioritering av individen, och det finns både för- och nackdelar.Syftet med undersökningen var att beskriva upplevelsen av karriärplanering via e-learning, "K-modellen", utifrån ett individperspektiv. Upplevelsen fokuserar på funktionalitet i termer av upplevde återkoppling och användbarhet i termer av användarvänlighet.

En studie om vad som motiverar expats att stanna i företag

A flat organisation makes a horizontal career development possible, which means that it is more important to develop an individual?s knowledge base than to gain a higher title. This leads to a personal development, which motivates expats to stay. Since the responsibility of the career development mostly lies on expats themselves, companies should create conditions that make individual, internal job search possible. Like in IKEA:s case, it can be done through a strong and prestige less company culture, that penetrates the whole company.
