Our aim is to create a greater understanding for how Växjö Municipality is working with their vision, strategy and brand, and also how it is perceived by the business sector. This understanding will help us to highlight success factors and pitfalls that exist in the creation, implementation, and maintenance of a municipality?s identity, image and profile to convince the business sector to follow.Methodology: We have been using an abductive and qualitative research-method in which semi-structured interviews have been the basis of our empirical material. We had interviews with three employees, a communication manager and the mayor at Växjö Municipality as well as four organizations and two companies with sustainable focus. We did this to get different perspectives and thereby get a greater understanding.Analysis & conclusion: We have been able to identify both success factors and pitfalls in Växjö Municipality's strategic sustainability work.

This survey is a theoretical analysis concerning didactics of literature, in which I problematize what Martha C. Nussbaum describes as ?narrative imagination?. By using postcolonial theory, more specific: Gayatri Spivaks essay ?Can the Subaltern Speak?? and her theoretical formula ?a leap into the other?s sea?, I try to answer the following question: Can ?narrative imagination? be understood as a manifistation or concretisation of ?a leap into the other?s sea??The answer that is given concerning my general question is simply: No.

Studien undersöker Sveriges Radios nyhetspublicering på nätet och jämför med Ekots nyhetssändningar i etern. Syftet är att undersöka eventuella skillnader i nyhetsurvalet, samt hur webbinnehållet påverkas av flerkanalspubliceringen och webbens möjligheter till ständig publicering och uppdatering, möjlighet att använda sig av bildobjekt och grafik samt hypertext och interaktivitet. Undersökningen ramas in av de teoretiska begreppen konvergens och divergens, samt teorier om hur kanalernas produktionsförhållanden påverkar nyhetsinnehållet. En kombination av kvantitativ och kvalitativ innehållsanalys har använts, där de båda kanalerna undersöktes under två dagar, 23 och 24 april 2012. Det visade sig att webbens nyhetsrapportering till viss del bestod av nyheter som inte fanns med i Ekosändningarna.

The proportion of women entrepreneurs in Sweden is, as in many countries, smaller than the proportion of men entrepreneurs. Sweden has therefore created political measures with the ambition to increase women entrepreneurship. However, knowledge about the determinants of women entrepreneurship is needed in order to enable the promotion of it and, at the same time one can question the treatment of women entrepreneurs as a homogenous group. The purpose of this thesis is to investigate the determinants of women entrepreneurship and whether these determinants fluctuate regionally. If this proves to be the case, a more spatial/individual approach should be used, when creating measures to promote entrepreneurship.

Many of today?s societies are built on established financial structures that are controlled by states and central banks. These structures are built on a clear perception of economic systems as established but invisible institutionalised concepts that are operated by millions of organizations worldwide. An idea of counteracting against centralized economies by introducing a currency that no state or bank controlled was developed in the beginning of the 20th century. In 2008 the idea was realised by the introduction of Bitcoin, which is a digital currency and transaction system without any centralized emitter or controlling organ.

Saab Aerosystems has a long tradition and a lot of competence in the field of flight simulation. Their ambition to broaden the market horizon has led to a discussion about also selling vehicle simulation solutions, both for military and civilian use.The aim of this thesis is to investigate the driver?s experiences of the accelerations he or she is exposed to whilst driving in rough terrain. The results may be used as a basis for future decisions and can act as a platform for the construction of an effective simulation model.To investigate the driver?s exposure of acceleration, some kind of dynamic simulation is needed.

Swedish healthcare has experienced increased economic pressure during the last decades and organizations have faced many changes. Managers and their roles in organizations have also been affected by the changes. Traditionally, managers in the healthcare sector are highly specialized doctors with a strong medical background. In the thesis, we study a big private healthcare company with an ambition to lead the development in the sector. In order to accomplish its goal, the company is trying to change the organization of managers.

The aim of our master thesis is first and foremost to win the competition One Prize - mowing to Growing: Reinventing the American Lawn, announced in USA by the organization Terreform 1, the first of December 2009. Apart from winning the competition we have also tried to reach a deeper understanding of food production today and its future possibilities. Our ambition to present a winning design proposal has to a large extent decided the structure of the entire thesis. Our completed and submitted design proposal - growforgold.org - is a way of addressing urban food production in a creative way, keeping the sovereignty of the individual in mind. Instead of presenting a place-specific design solution our proposal aims to create incentives and possibilities for urban farming to take place anywhere and anytime. Our submission to the competition represents both a tool and a platform which, put in practice, could make landscape architecture happen through the hands of the individual.

Hybrid aspen is a crossbreed between European and North American aspen. It is a fast growing tree species that has shown strong growth in the South of Sweden. The follow-ups that have been made on hybrid aspen stands, have mainly been done on plant material in the South of Sweden. In the North of Sweden, only occasional studies have been made, and the knowledge of Northern hybrid aspen stands is, thus, unsatisfactory.In the South of Norrland, land owners have planted hybrid aspen, but what kind of plants it is, and how well these stands have established, is not ascertained, since data has not been compiled on the subject.The objective of this study is to evaluate practical plantations of hybrid aspen in the South of Norrland regarding height growth, survival and damages. The ambition is to increase the knowledge about practical plantations regarding height growth, survival and damages, and from the conclusions thereof, give recommendations for future establishments of hybrid aspen in the area.For the study, eight hybrid aspen stands in the South of Norrland were localised.

Syftet med studien har varit att ta reda på hur 20 Svenska klädföretag arbetar med CSR. Fokus har varit att redogöra för viktiga faktorer och förutsättningar som krävs av företagen för ett framgångsrikt CSR-arbete samt att identifiera dessa faktorer och förutsättningar i klädföretagens CSR-arbeten för att bedöma dess prestation, det vill säga vilken ambition och vilka ställningstaganden de arbetar efter. Avslutningsvis har diskuterats kring vad klädföretagens ambitioner och ställningstaganden gällande deras CSR-arbete innebär sett utifrån ett intressentperspektiv.Företagens sociala ansvar utgörs av ett företags miljömässiga, sociala, etiska, filantropiska, ekonomiska och juridiska ansvar. Företagen ska stå till svars för sin samhällspåverkan och deras sociala ansvar ska sträcka sig utöver ekonomiska och juridiska krav. För att företagen ska lyckas med och nå ett framgångsrikt arbete med frågor kring CSR krävs att de identifierar ansvarsområden för att vidare kunna definiera vilket ansvar de ska ta och hur det ska hanteras, företagens sociala ansvar definieras i samverkan mellan företagen och dess intressenter.

Med denna studie är vår ambition att undersöka hur omorganisationen av arbetet med modersmålet implementeras i Malmö stads förskolor och hur denna tas emot ute i verksamheten. Vi vill få syn på tanken bakom omorganisationen och vad det är för resurser som krävs för att lyckas med en implementering. Syftet med denna studie är att studera hur det fungerar när ett nytt projekt ska implementeras i förskoleverksamheten och hur detta tas emot av pedagogerna. Här kommer vi också studera förskolans traditioner närmre samt undersöka hur det pedagogiska samarbetet mellan förskolorna och språkutvecklarna fungerar ur pedagogernas perspektiv. Vi utgår ifrån följande frågeställningar: Hur fungerar samarbetet mellan förskolorna och språkutvecklarna? Hur påverkas pedagogerna av sin omgivning vid implementering i verksamheten? Vilka förutsättningar gynnar en framgångsrik implementering och verksamhet med barnen? När vi har analyserat vårt material har vi använt oss av teori om implementering.

Syftet med min studie var att belysa några gymnasieelevers syn på sambandet mellan dengrammatiska kompetensen och den kommunikativa kompetensen i ämnet moderna språktyska steg 1.Jag genomförde en kvalitativ studie i form av en elevenkät där frågeställningarna skulle gesvar på vilken syn och erfarenhet några elever har i ämnet tyska steg 1 när det gällersambandet mellan den grammatiska kompetensen och den kommunikativa kompetensen.Resultatet av enkäten visade att eleverna såg ett tydligt samband mellan grammatiskkompetens och kommunikativ kompetens. Den formella språkliga kompetensen ansågs varaen framgångsfaktor för den egna språkutvecklingen, både när det gäller ambition ochmotivation samt viljan att kommunicera.En av utgångspunkterna till min studie var att den formella språkliga kompetensen inteomnämns explicit i kursplanen. Studiens resultat visar en tydlig koppling mellan den allsidigakommunikativa kompetensen enligt kursplanen och elevers önskan om att få bättreförutsättningar för att uppnå dessa färdigheter genom grammatisk kompetens. I ett störreperspektiv bidrar följaktligen grammatisk kompetens till att uppnå en ökad grad avkommunikativ kompetens.Med stöd av undersökningens resultat samt forskningen och litteraturen kringspråkprocessning anser jag att grammatisk kompetens är av stor betydelse när det gäller attuppnå kommunikativ kompetens i tyska. Tyskans grammatik bygger på markerade struktureroch avsaknaden av adekvat grammatisk kompetens leder till osäkerhet, missuppfattningar ochfrustration som stör eller förhindrar att meningsfull kommunikation kan ske.

AimThe aim with the work is to investigate if outdoor life at an early age will contribute to a maintained interest as a grown-up, and what other reasons play a part in maintained/lost interest. Questions:? Are the people active within outdoor life/physical activity today?? How much time do the people devote to outdoor life/physical activity?? What factors during the growth, from preschool to grown-up, contribute to a maintained or lost interest in outdoor life?MethodSince we wanted to bring forth all eventual factors that may have effected the people in their physical activity today we chose to do a qualitative study using deep interviews. The investigated group consists of six former students, four girls and two boys, from the I Ur och Skur preschool Mulleborg. Today the respondents are between 20 and 24 years old.ResultsThe investigation shows that all respondents are active with some kind of outdoor life or physical activity today, but there is a difference in how much.

This empirical work and base has been to analyze the new high school reform that the Swedish government introduced as a statement 2008/09:199 about: Higher demand and quality within the high school. This statement became legal through the government vote in spring 2010. But above all it is the investigation (SOU 2008:27) that is the central piece for these new examination changes for high school students that will come into effect 1 of July 2011. The purpose and questions asked in this analyze has been if the reform takes its base in a modernistic (traditional) way or a late modern scientific perspective. And also to find out how these new quality amendments in the investigation makes visible about the high school and what the purpose are about the changes. When scientific theories in these analyze is placed against the reform, the result shows that the modernization process reflects more of a late modern aspect, which constantly reappraise in a changeable society.
