Daglig sysselsättning för människor med ett psykiskt funktionshinder drivs av olika huvudmän såsom kommuner, intresseorganisationer och kooperativ. Psykiatrireformens syfte är att förbättra livsvillkoren för den studera målgruppen samt att öka delaktigheten i samhällslivet . Vi som genomför denna studie har tidigare varit yrkesverksamma inom kommunal socialpsykiatri. Genom dessa erfarenheter har vi också erhållit ett intresse av människor med ett långvarigt psykiskt funktionshinder. Vår förförståelse bygger på tidigare erfarenheter i yrket som säger oss att det finns ett begränsat utbud till aktivitet och sysselsättning för den studerade gruppen.

Syftet med den här uppsatsen är att få en inblick i statens föreställning om psykiskt funktionshinder i historien genom att undersöka två statliga utredningar från 1940- och 2000-talet. De två utredningar heter Betänkande om sinnesslövården (1949:11) och Ambition och ansvar (2006:100). Med hjälp av Foucaults maktteorier om disciplin och normaliserig ska jag analysera utredningarna för att ta reda på statens föreställningar.  För att specificera föreställningarna har jag analyserat temavis. De teman jag har valt är begreppsanvändning, vården och utbildning. Genom en textanalys av utredningarna har min undersökning visat på att föreställningen om psykiskt funktionshinder har förändrats enormt genom historisk tid.

This research is about different perspectives, offered by three mother tongue teachers, one principal and also featuring a representative from Skolverket, on the subject: teacher legitimation for mother tongue teachers, mother tongue teachers opportunity for competence education and the future of mother tongue education in Sweden.The theoretical framework is mother tongue language, globalization, the post-colonial theory, power and social inequality. A qualitative approach was used including five interviews taken place in Stockholm, the results does not however represent the whole country nor the community of Stockholm itself.The result shows that mother tongue teachers thinks the teacher legitimation does not mean anything regarding their already low-status. Even principal and representative from Skolverket express their concern towards the 'non-demand' for mother tongue teachers to get their legitimation and they feel there is a lack of ambition from decisonmakers to include the mother tongue teachers.As per today there is no higher education for mother tongue teachers leading towards an exam. Mother tongue teachers are worried about their future although principal and representant takes a bright outlook. .

The goal of this project was to make the requirement process at the Swedish Coastguard more effective. The first step to achieve this was done by locating bottle necks in the process with value stream mapping method. The result of this study showed that the biggest restriction in the requirement process was while examining older requirement documents to understand what elements were suitable for the particular project. This was followed by a study of literature, interviews and theory of Lean Production with the ambition to investigate how the requirement process was handled on other companies and how to improve the process on the Swedish coast guard. This led to a number of potential enhancements of the process which later was evaluated. Requirements written by different people in different organizations were analyzed in order to sort out if there were some similarities? which could be used as standard elements in a future standardization of the process.

Background: Triage is the sorting of patients according to the severity of medical assessment. Triage has a long history of use in Anglo-Saxon countries but is a fairly new method in Sweden. Researchers have described the Manchester triage group method (MTS) and a literature review of the concept; working contentment and competence focusing on triage. Aim: The ambition with this study was to describe a number of triage nurses working conditions. The research questions were; working with MTS- does it bring work contentment? What kind of competence is needed? Method: Data was collected from 74 triage nurses by a questionnaire containing 37 questions and two questions provided the nurses the opportunities to describe their triage experiences.

AbstractThis thesis discusses ideological and rhetorical change of the Moderate Party of Sweden. The aim of the thesis has been to study the party during a time-span of almost 20 years, trying to identify changes related to each of the three party leaders.A hypothesis was developed, suggesting that the three party leaders each represented a different kind of ideology namely neo-conservatism, neo-liberalism and social liberalism. By studying newspaper articles and protocols from the Swedish Parliament, riksdagen, I was able to verify the hypothesis in all but the first party leader, Carl Bildt. It was showed that his ideology had more in common with New Right than with neo-liberalism.After identifying these changes I looked for explanations within Party Strategy Theory and Social Change Theory. My conclusions were that the changes could be understood by the great loss of voters in the election of 2002 and that agents within the Moderate Party acted upon the ambition to win new and old voters to the party, thereby recognizing the need for change.Keywords: Ideological Change, Rhetorical Change, The Moderate Party,Neo-Liberalism, Neo-Conservatism, Social Liberalism..

The purpose of this study was to investigate and analyse the consequences of being diagnosed with Asperger syndrome during adulthood. My ambition was to investigate the participants? perspective on how the diagnosis affected their lives and relationships with their partners. To answer the purpose three questions were formulated: (1) How did the participants experience being diagnosed with Asperger syndrome? (2) What have the diagnosis meant to the participants? self-image and self understanding? (3) Have the diagnosis influenced the participants? understanding of their partners and have the diagnosis influenced the partners? understanding of the participants? The study is based on qualitative interviews with two men and two women living in Stockholm, Sweden.

So called honour based violence is a present problem in Sweden. Although recently there has been a steadily growing political and academic awareness around so called honour based violence, there are still problems in the face to face meeting with the victims. This dissertation contributes to the understanding of these victims. The empirical material is based on five young women's stories about growing up in a context of 'honour' and their experiences from breaking up from this context.  My ambition is letting these stories be heard and told as to lead to an increasing understanding of how these women experience themselves and their surrounding society. The purpose of this dissertation is to illustrate how young women interpret their self in the light of a separation from their families.

AbstractWorking with child and youth welfare is one of the most difficult challenges a social worker might face in the field of social work. Those who work with child and youth welfare are more exposed to stress and burnout than other comparable human service occupations. Research links the prevalence of stress and burnout to several key variables, such as demographics, working conditions and personality factors. In contrast, even though social workers in this field face many negative work-related problems they report a high job satisfaction. The aim of this study is to examine how uplifting and straining experiences affect social workers, who work with child and youth welfare, through the use of The Critical Incident Technique and interviews.

Det ställs idag större krav på studie- och yrkesvägledarna och deras kunskaper då det sker stora förändringar i vår omvärld, arbetsmarknad och utbildningsväsende. Vi vill med denna studie klargöra vilka kunskaper inhämtade från studie- och yrkesvägledarprogrammet, yrkesverksamma studie- och yrkesvägledare använder sig av i sitt yrke inom grund- och gymnasieskola. Vårt syfte är också att undersöka vad som möjliggör och begränsar användandet av dessa kunskaper. Vi kopplar följande frågor till vårt syfte; Vilka kunskaper från studie- och yrkesvägledarprogrammet använder vägledare sig framförallt av i yrkeslivet på grundskola och gymnasieskola? Vilka faktorer begränsar och möjliggör användandet av kunskaper som studie- och yrkesvägledare besitter? Anser sig studie- och yrkesvägledare sakna någon kunskap, som borde ingått i deras utbildning, i så fall vilken? De begrepp och teorier vi använt är Bourdieus Habitusteori, Social Cognitive Career Theory samt begreppen organisationskultur och yrkesroll.

In 2002 George W. Bush held a speech where he classified six nations as being the main threats to American security, one of them being Syria, a state with a secular constitution, no resent offence towards the US, and with an improved diplomatic relationship to the US during the Clinton years.Being an ally to the Soviet Union during the Cold War Syria was forced to redefine its role in the region. Using neorealistc theory one part conlusion is the fact that the new Syrian leader, Bashar al-Hasad, in the early 21th century determined to set higher goals for the Syrian power ambition in the Middle East, threatened to destabilize the region and leave the US and its allies in a caotic situation.In the US, however, the new administration after 11/9 sharpened its tone towards states that did not cooperate in the new ?war on terrorism? or/and were likely to harbour terrorists. Syria was accused of doing both.

Sammanfattning: Föreliggande studie fördjupar sig i hur identiteten förändras i och med emigrationen till Sverige. Genom fyra bosniers subjektiva upplevelser av att fly ett krigsdrabbat land, komma som flyktingar till Sverige och sedan bo kvar här som invandrare, är avsikten få en större förståelse vad denna förändring har inneburit för dessa individer. Det har inte varit min ambition att skildra den stora berättelsen eller strukturen utan avsikten har varit att lyfta fram individen i det större sammanhanget. Genom att arbeta med muntlig historia och kulturanalys synliggörs hur fyra bosnier upplever sin identitet när dem började leva ett normalt liv i exil. Tyngdpunkten har lagts på de sociala samt kulturella förändringsprocesserna de genomgick samt hur dessa påverkat deras identitetskonstruktion.

15th of December 2005 was a historical day for the Iraqi people when they could vote for the first time in a free referendum for the draft of the new constitution. The result showed that 79% accepted it. The Iraqi constitution has been criticized by many for its Islamic ascendancy. By giving Islam the role as the source for legislation, will make the situation worse for the Iraqi women, so it has been said.My aim with this Master thesis is not to evaluate weather or not Islam as a religion will undermine women's roll in the society. My ambition is rather to examine the constitution in order to see which kind of theory of citizenship it is inspired from and how will it affect the situation of the Iraqi women.

I denna uppsats presenterar vi en teori och modell som syftar till att illustrera interaktion utifrån en spelteoretisk ansats som en avvägning mellan relativ vinst, definierad som vinster som görs på motpartens bekostnad, kontra ömsesidig vinst, definierad som vinster som görs i samarbete med motparten. Vi förklarar detta synsätt genom att använda oss av kortfattade exempel och applicerar sedan det på två empiriska fall; Liberia och Sverige-Danmark. I sista kapitlet sammanfattas de viktigaste slutsatserna; att samarbete är mer rationellt än konflikt förutsatt att parterna kan se möjligheterna samarbetet kan medföra. Dessutom poängteras att förtroende, eller en utomstående garant, är absolut nödvändigt för fungerande samarbete. Vår ambition har varit att lägga fram ett analysinstrument med en hög grad av generaliserbarhet som kan användas för att få en ökad förståelse av aktörers agerande i såväl samarbete som konflikt..

Trots att flera forskningsrapporter har visat på de ekonomiska vinsterna med jämställda arbetsplatser är den kvinnliga underrepresentationen på högre poster inom näringslivet fortfarande påtaglig. En av förklaringarna till denna ojämställdhet har tillskrivits den manliga överordningen i samhället som hindrar kvinnor från att ta sig in i den absoluta maktsfären. Flera jämställdhetsstudier visar att kvinnor inte tillåts ingå i ?old-boy-network? och att manliga ideal präglar bilden av hur en bra chef ska vara och agera. Bristande tillgång på informella nätverk anses vara en av förklaringarna till att kvinnor har svårare att lyckas i karriären.
