The thesis was done in collaboration with EAB situated in Smålandsstenar. In the initial discussion faze on doing a thesis with them there was a need to analyze and ensure the strength of an existing product, cantilever racks. This included performing FEM calculations on a model and comparing the results with physical tests.EAB has two models of cantilever racks, a light duty and a heavy duty. Within the heavy duty model series there are five product variants that differ in both size and load capacity. We will be working with the product variant with a load capacity of 1000 kg/arm which is the variant that is in the middle of the series.When we started work on the thesis we did a literature study and couldn?t find any well defined methodology that integrates both product development and computer aided design analysis.

In the dairy production it is necessary to be able to sort cows. Dairy cows are sorted for many different reasons i.e. regrouping into production strings or for treatments i.e. inseminations, pregnancy and health checks, vaccinations or hoof trimmings. One labour saving way of conducting sorting is by using an automatic sort gate.

Nynas produces bitumen at two refineries in Sweden. The bitumen is shipped to seven depots along the swedish coast line, and from the depots special trucks handle the transportation to customers. Recently Nynas has transformed its supply chain and closed down a few depots. At the moment the company is considering a further reduction of the number of depots. In connection to these discussions an analyse of the companys distributionsystem and of possible changes is required.

This essay is about power in the classroom. It is about the power dimension of the student-teacher relationships that arise in that space. The overall aim has been to investigate which categories are fruitful in a power analysis of these relationships. My aim has therefore been to develop power categories and to use them to identify and to categorise cases of power interaction that take place between those particular actors in that particular setting.In order to gather material for my study I have both read literature that approaches the study of the student-teacher relationships from a power perspective and done a series of observations in a high school.My theoretical frame comprises a concept of power and a series of power categories. These categories include strength, authority, inducement, coercion, violence, resistance as well as to possess power, to have power, to exert power, the scope of power and the base of power.

The employer and collective agreements bearing employee union are often involved in collaborative agreements to facilitate cooperation between them. Issues addressed to collaboration areoften questions related to employee participation. The purpose of this study is to investigate two local employers and related collective bearing employee unionsview of the cooperation agreement related to the MBL. The purpose leads to these questions:?How can co-operation agreements affect 11 and 19 § § MBL??What are theadvantages and disadvantages cooperation agreementscan lead to, regardingemployer disclosure and negotiation duty?To try to sort out these issues are interviews conducted to create a greater understanding of the work of the Cooperation Agreement between organizations and how it affects them.Results of the study suggest that collaboration agreement leads to simplifications in the work of the employer's information and bargaining duty.

This literature study aims to examine the existence of cancer stem cells in breast cancer. The cancer stem cell theory states that there is a hierarchical organization within a tumour, in which a small subpopulation of the cells can initiate new tumours and maintain tumour growth whilst the bulk of the tumour cannot. These tumour initiating cells have shown to possess many characteristics similar to those of adult stem cells, which is why they are often referred to as cancer stem cells. Both cell types have the capacity of asymmetric division and have shown to possess mechanisms of resistance to both apoptosis and cancer drugs. The cancer stem cell theory elucidates many biological aspects such as the heterogeneity of tumours and the relapse of many cancers after what appeared to be successful treatments.

Den, i olika forskningsartiklar, återkommande uppfattningen om att enperson som är autonomt orienterad är mer benägen till att utveckla enmotivation till personlig utveckling ledde till denna undersökning.Syftet med studien var att undersöka hur autonomi påverkar människortill motivation till personlig utveckling. Studien tar sin utgångspunkt iself-determination theory och dess underteori causality orientationstheory, med de tre orienteringarna kontrollerad, impersonell ochautonomi, vilka handlar om orsak till varför en person handlar på ettvisst sätt och effekten därav. De olika orienteringarna mättes med enenkät konstruerad efter general causality orientation scale ochmotivation till personlig utveckling mättes med egenkonstrueradefrågor. Enkäten lades ut på fyra olika sidor på Internet medförhoppning om att nå ett brett deltagande. Studien visade att denkontrollerade orienteringen var den av de tre orienteringarna sompåverkade människor i högst grad till motivation till personligutveckling.

I detta examensarbete har vi gjort en undersökning av attityder och förväntningar kring lärande i fysik och matematik hos en grupp gymnasieelever på NV-programmet. Vi har sökt sammanlänka dessa attityder och förväntningar med elevernas motivation så som vi tolkar den utifrån en specifik teori som benämns ?self determination theory?. Detta är en teori inom psykologin som beskriver olika typer av motivation och hur dessa är knutna till välbefinnande och kreativitet hos individer. Vi har samlat in data i form av intervjuer och enkätsvar. Dessa data har vi analyserat på tre olika sätt.

Abstract Titel: Fastighetsekonomers motivation i yrkesliv och utbildningNivå: C-uppsats inom ämnet företagsekonomiFörfattare: Mahtab Yousefi & Tony EssoHandledare: Jonas KågströmDatum: 2011 - 06Syfte: Syftet med denna kandidatuppsats var att undersöka blivande fastighetsekonomers motivation på utbildningen och yrket, som vi sedan skulle jämföra med yrkesverksamma. Samtliga intervjupersoner är befintliga och gamla studenter från Högskolan i Gävle. Denna studie är tillägnad alla studenter som är blivande fastighetsekonomer.Metod: Vi har använt oss utav kvalitativ metod under intervjuerna, totalt genomfördes det 20 intervjuer varav tio utav dem var via telefon. Vi har även använt oss utav kvantitativ metod, vår information samlade vi in via en elektronisk enkätundersökning till de yrkesverksamma, och studenterna fick undersökningen utskriven för att sedan koppla det till Self Determination Theory (SDT).Resultat och slutsats: Resultatet analyserades med hjälp av GCOS och ACI. Det resulterade i att studenterna hade högre procent i autonomy medan de yrkesverksamma hade högre procent i controlled och amotivation.

I denna studie undersöktes elevers uppfattningar om hur de anser att lärares arbetssätt, ämnets lektionsinnehåll och om vad som motiverar dem till att delta i ämnet idrott och hälsa. Det un-dersöktes även om det fanns några eventuella skillnader mellan könen, det vill säga om flick-or och pojkar hade olika uppfattningar i frågorna. Enkäter användes och delades ut på en gymnasieskola och besvarades av 105 elever i olika klasser som läste idrott och hälsa 1. Ele-verna som deltog i enkäten valdes ut genom ett bekvämlighetsurval då kontakter på skolan fanns sedan tidigare. Teorin som används genom studien är Deci & Ryans motivationsteori ?Self-Determination Theory?.

Mental träning har fått ett tydligare utrymme i skolan och i samhället där organisationer på olika håll påtalar den goda hälsan. Resultat av flera undersökningar visar att elever kan öka sitt välbefinnande och sina skolprestationer genom mentala träningsmetoder. Syftet med studien är att ta reda på vilka begrepp och metoder som kan vara relevanta inom området för mental träning och spänningsreglering inom gymnasiekursen Idrott och Hälsa 1. Studien är uppdelad i två delstudier där delstudie ett är en innehållsanalys som presenterar relevant litteratur. Delstudie två består av flera intervjuer som sedan kopplas samman med den innehållsanalys vi framställt.
