Behavioral problems are one of the leading reasons for re-homing and euthanasia in dogs. It is estimated that between 40 ? 87 % of dogs suffer from some sort of behavioural problem, making it an important animal welfare issue. Separation anxiety is one of the most common behavior problems encountered in dogs after problems related to aggression. This thesis is aimed at examining the etiology behind separation anxiety related behavior in dogs based on existing literature as well as comparing and evaluating the efficiency on suggested treatment protocols.

Bakgrund: När en förälder drabbas av cancer påverkas hela familjen, i synnerhet ungdomar då de samtidigt befinner sig i en känslomässig utvecklingsperiod där deras identitet utvecklas och frigörelseprocessen från föräldrarna inleds. Syfte: Syftet med studien var att beskriva ungdomars upplevelser av att leva med en cancersjuk förälder. Metod: Studien genomfördes som en kvalitativ litteraturstudie och baserades på elva vetenskapliga artiklar. Artiklarna analyserades enligt av Lundman och Graneheims (2008) beskrivning av innehållsanalys. Resultat: Resultatet presenterades i fyra kategorier och två underkategorier.

The intake of green tea is believed to have a protective effect against UV irradiation, since green tea extracts in lotions in previous studies have shown to increase the skin tolerance level against UV irradiation.Objective: To examine the scientific basis and determine whether an oral intake of green tea has a protective effect against UV-induced erythema.Search strategy: Searches in the scientific databases PubMed and Scopus were made to find suitable articles.

ABSTRACT The main purpose of IT security policies is to protect companies against intrusion and unwanted spread of information. Statistics show that IT related crimes tend to increase and because of that it is important, from the company?s side of view, to be well prepared. The IT security policy is an important part of that preparation. A lot of the crimes related to IT can be deduced indirectly to employees at the companies where the crime takes place.

Bakgrund: Sjuksköterskor kan finna det svårt att vårda och bemöta unga vuxna som är obotligt sjuka. För att öka förståelsen och förbättra den palliativa vården för dessa personer är det viktigt att sjuksköterskan får ta del av patientens upplevelser av sin situation. Sjuksköterskans uppgift är att bland annat tillgodose patientens fysiska, psykiska, sociala och spirituella behov. Syfte: Syftet med denna uppsats var att belysa unga vuxnas upplevelser av att leva med obotlig cancersjukdom från diagnos till bortgång. Metod: Denna studie skrevs utifrån en kvalitativ ansats med en narrativ design.

The purpose of this study is to find out how libraries can be user-friendly to people with dyslexia by focusing on how adult dyslectics experience the library. Data were collected through literature and interviews with adult dyslectic students. Two different types of user studies served as a theoretical framework; one was an individual-related study by professor Wilson and the other was a system-related one from professor Buckland. The findings in this study shows that dyslectic library users often experience difficulties when seeking for materials in the library, due to the libraries organisation of material according to the written language. Through technical aid and a more user-friendly organisation of materials it may be easier to find relevant material for dyslectics.

Syfte: Undersöka huruvida patienterna känner att den individuella vårdplanen de har fått har varittill nytta och vilka upplevelser de har kring den. Metod: En deskriptiv kvalitativ studie medsemistrukturerade intervjuer genomfördes höstterminen 2013 vid Uppsala Universitet i samråd medRegionallt Cancercentrum. Informanterna i studien var patienter med bröstcancer ochkolorektalcancer vid Akademiska sjukhuset i Uppsala och Gävle sjukhus som använt denindividuella vårdplanen. Resultat: Samtliga patienter kände att den individuella vårdplanen varpositiv och till hjälp, men flera önskade mer och djupare information. Av de sex patienter somintervjuades var samtliga nöjda med sin kontaktsjuksköterska.

Det förväntas att var tredje person i Sverige någon gång under sin livstid kommer att drabbas av cancer. Upplevelserna av att leva med en cancersjukdom är individuella då patienter är unika individer bestående av kropp, själ och ande. Det lidande cancersjukdomen medför kan leda till att patienterna ifrågasätter sin egen tillvaro på ett biologiskt, psykologiskt och existentiellt plan. För att sjuksköterskor skall kunna ge god omvårdnad till cancersjuka patienter krävs det att de får en ökad förståelse för patienternas livsvärldar. Syftet med uppsatsen är att belysa patienters upplevelser av att leva med obotlig cancersjukdom när livets slut är nära.

The purpose of this thesis is to study how homosexuals and homosexuality were represented in the press during the trials against the Pentecostal pastor Åke Green, and to what kind of social representations and narratives these representations can be related.Using critical discourse analysis and theories about the differentiation between in- and outgroups I try to unveil implicit meanings and attitudes towards gay people mainly at the local text level. The material consists of articles in Ölandsbladet and Dagens Nyheter that were produced before, during and after the trials.The analysis suggests that homosexuals are construed as a deviant outgroup and that the majority, the ingroup, is presented as an essentially heterosexual, tolerant community. Homosexuality is wrong and heterosexuality is the right way of living. Homosexuals, in terms of group lobbyism, are construed as an enemy, a threat, against Western ideals such as family values and freedom of speech. They indirectly become a threat to Swedish democracy.

This study aimed to describe children?s experience of living with overweight or obesity, by using a literature-review. The study includes eleven articles, data is from children between ages 5-15 year. The result occurring were in the areas; Quality of life and self-esteem, Social company, Body concept and weight reduction and Psychological unhealth. BMI above what is recommended gives a negative influence on quality of live and self-esteem.

The employer and collective agreements bearing employee union are often involved in collaborative agreements to facilitate cooperation between them. Issues addressed to collaboration areoften questions related to employee participation. The purpose of this study is to investigate two local employers and related collective bearing employee unionsview of the cooperation agreement related to the MBL. The purpose leads to these questions:?How can co-operation agreements affect 11 and 19 § § MBL??What are theadvantages and disadvantages cooperation agreementscan lead to, regardingemployer disclosure and negotiation duty?To try to sort out these issues are interviews conducted to create a greater understanding of the work of the Cooperation Agreement between organizations and how it affects them.Results of the study suggest that collaboration agreement leads to simplifications in the work of the employer's information and bargaining duty.

GNT is facing problems with inaccurate inventory levels which can lead to unnecessarily high inventory carrying costs or lost sales. Currently the decisions about when and how many to order are made somewhat arbitrarily by the responsible personnel. Their decisions are based only on some brief sales history and on experience. GNT wants to develop its ERP system to be able to support the purchaser in these and other related decisions.

Ångest och oro är många gånger större hos de närstående än hos den sjuke själv. Det är tungt att som närstående stå vid sidan om och se sin kära ha plågsamma symtom. I sjukvården hamnar närstående ofta i bakgrunden och allt fokus läggs på den sjuke.
