If differences exist, what can be improved in order to make the work more uniform? Purpose: To map the work with investment appraisals at Volvo CE: s four Swedish plats, to analyze differences in work between the plants and give proposals to a more homogenous working.Method: A method of qualitative nature. The study mainly contains raw data from semi structured interviews. Secondary data, such as internal policy documents and documentation of completed investment projects, has supplemented the raw data. Analysis: The mapping shows significant differences in work with investments between Volvo CE: s Swedish plants.
Gryning i den svarta lådan. Hur man utifrån rationella metoder och ett beskrivande angreppssätt kan öka förståelsen för kompetens
Competence is a complex concept that encompasses many facets. This study aims fora better understanding of the concept. Many branches of business administration science would benefit from a better understanding of competence and, through that understanding, find solutions where competence is one of many variables. By combining a positivistic and phenomenological approach, this study has created a broader understanding of the concept of competence. The study combines systematic study of the relevant literature with in-depth interviewswith people representing both the employer and the union within the staffing company world. The results show that quantifying competence is a complex and next to impossible task, as it would involve including the whole concept of competence in the Calculations. When this is done, the phenomenon itself becomes so complex that it loses its validity. This is why theorists who want to perform this type of Calculations put most of the competence complexity in ?the black box?.
Potential för värmeåtervinning från mjölkkylanläggningar
The present climate discussion has made energy efficiency an interesting topic. Saving energy does
not only help the climate but also saves money for the energy consumer.
The purpose of this thesis was to examine the potential of heat recovering from milk cooling. Two
milk farms, one with voluntary milking system, VMS, and the other with conventional milking system
was used to measure interesting temperatures and electricity consumptions. The numbers were used
both to do theoretical Calculations and to construct a SIMULINK model.
To calculate the potential for heat at milk farms theoretical Calculations were made in MATLAB using
a reference farm with different combinations of heat recovery and pre cooling. The farm was
assumed to keep a dwelling house with the annual heat consumption 18165 kWh.
Stabilitetsberäkningar och åtgärdsförslag vid islast på Skålandammen
Hydropower is an important source of energy in Sweden and accounts for about 46 % of the total energy production. Sweden has about 1 200 hydropower plants and with the intention of raising the pressure head of the water and to store water, dams are built by the power plants. The storage reservoirs make it possible to adjust the energy production by demand and season. Dams in connection to the reservoirs are subjected to additional loading during periods of high floods or when an icecap in the winter is formed on the reservoirs. In order to maintain the dam safety, the power companies in Sweden are working with guidelines for dam safety from RIDAS.
Datorbaserad analys av enzymdesign för Diels-Alder reaktioner
This thesis has been focused around the Diels Alder reaction with the goal to design an enzyme catalyzed reaction pathway. To achieve this goal computer aided enzyme design was utilized. Common traditional methods of computational chemistry (B3LYP, MP2) do not do well when calculating reaction barriers or even reaction energies for the Diels Alder reaction. New calcu- lation methods were developed and tested. This was the focus of the first part of the thesis, by choosing a small system, extensive and heavy Calculations could be done with CBS-QB3.
En byggnads energibehov : En studie om energieffektivisering av en befintlig byggnad i södra Sverige
The purpose of the study was to investigate the use and losses of energy in an existing older building. Another purpose was also to look through various options for heating systems with renewable energy in the building. The aim was to reduce the use and losses of energy. The first step was to study the related electricity bills of the building and also perform measurements and Calculations of the building envelope and ventilation. The next step was to find out the possible actions for energy saving by performing measurements and Calculations.
Energibalansen för ett nytt flerbostadshus i Mellansverige : Beräkningar intervjuer och analys av energikraven i Boverkets Byggregler
Abstract This degree project comprises 30 credits, i.e. 20 weeks of work. The work mainly deals with the energy balance for a multi-family house in Västerås and the requirements for energy conservation in the Swedish building code, BBR. Calculations of the energy balance are supplemented by a number of interviews. Energy conservation in general has become more important in recent years and the subject is in line with increased public awareness. This importance and attention is explained by environmental problems in general and global warming in particular, but also by rising energy prices.
Utveckling av en beräkningsmodell för biogasproduktion
A growing interest for the climate and the environment has led to an increased interest forenvironmentally friendly and renewable energy sources, such as biogas. Planning new biogasplants requires a decision basis including facts about approximate amounts of biogas possibleto produce at the plant. The purpose of this thesis is to develop a model that calculates theapproximate biogas and digestate production from a planned or existing biogas plant.Developing the model required a literature review and studies of Calculations concerningbiogas and digestate production performed by WSP Sweden AB. As a complement to themodel development, facts about substrates for biogas production were compiled through aliterature review. In addition the methane potential from selected materials was determined bybatch experiments.
Brikettillverkning på gårdsnivå :
In my work I have chosen to examine the profitability for small scale production of hemp briquettes. My study also includes a review of which briquette technique that is the most common one among small scale producers. The reason that I have chosen this subject is because of the discussions about climate and energy that we face almost every day. I also think the subject is extra interesting in these days when the grain prizes are at a historic high level.
In order for me to achieve a reliable report, a hemp and briquette producer has given me the actual data from his farm. In that way I have been able to make my Calculations from a concrete perspective.
Parametriserad modell av motorprototyp med Solidworks
The purpose of this thesis has been to build a parameterized model of a prototype motor in the program Solidworks, to use in future optimization of aspects of effectiveness and weight. The result were two models. The first model were one minor part of the whole design in 2D, to be able to optimize and study the minor part with a faster loss simulation. The second model was the whole design in 3D. The whole model were done with the three programs Solidworks, Comsol and Matlab.

Projektering för återupptagandeav elproduktion vid småskaligtvattenkraftverk
Due to historically low prices for electricity in Sweden, many small-scale hydropowerplants were closed down. A small-scale power plant has more or less the samemaintenance costs as larger plants, but doesn?t generate as much income. Today?sincreasing price for electricity in combination with a desire for renewable energysources makes small-scale hydropower interesting again.
CarEye ? Sees & Saves: Fordonskamera för skadedokumentering
In the middle of Australia there is a city called Alice Springs. The city has one of the highest amounts of daily sunshine hours and sun irradiation in the world. The Australian Government runs a project called Solar Cities, and Alice Springs is one of the participators. The main part of the goal with the Solar Cities project is to increase the amount of electricity generated by solar power and by doing that lower the impact on the environment. This thesis examines the possibilities for construction of a large scale solar power plant in Alice Springs. This is done to determine the potential of creating a more sustainable energy system in the city.
Kalkylarbete för byggnadsprojekt med Vico Office : För- och nackdelar med 5D BIM
AbstractBuilding Information Model/Modeling/Management (BIM) is a tool that allows for efficient working methods. BIM saves time and money while providing the potential for visualization. This method of working is based on a 3D-model, and then a fourth and fifth dimension are connected. 5D modeling means that a spreadsheet creates cost estimates based on the 3D model. This provides opportunities to carry out Calculations in the early stages of the projects. Calculations are currently performed manually and do not contribute to the development that the construction industry requires.
