This thesis concerns to investigate renovations of existing buildings aiming at enabling energy efficiency, from a conservation and restoration perspective. This includes performing case studies of three projects in the Gothenburg area where renovations has been done and an analysis of directives raised by the EU and later implemented by the Swedish National Board of Housing, Building and Planning, Boverket. In addition to these, regulations enforced by the Swedish law, related to the topic, have been considered.The investigated projects in this case were the housing cooperative Välten in Brämaregården, the Solar Buildings in Järnbrott and Gårdsten as well as Katjas Gata 119 at Backa Röd. In order to measure and compare the results of these projects a comparison between the pre- and post-restoration energy consumption have been performed. To capture additional perspectives the grading system Operation Kungsörn has been applied.Regarding the comparison of energy consumption the renovation of Katjas Gata 119 was found preferable but showed in my view lacking attention to the cultural heritage of the area.

This report is focused on marketing opportunities for small-scale mango farmers in the Nyanza Province in Kenya. Kenya is a large horticultural producer in the world. Horticulture is an important income for a large share of the rural population in Kenya but profitability is low due to inefficiencies in marketing systems and poor infrastructure. The conditions for growing mango in the Nyanza Province are very beneficial and there are two harvesting seasons. Mango offers good income opportunities for small-scale farmers in the Nyanza Province.The aim of this study is to identify marketing conditions that will enable prospering business for small-scale mango farmers in the Nyanza Province, Kenya.

Denna C-uppsats syfte är att undersöka hur Case Management (CM) samverkanspartners: socialtjänst, frivård, Missbruks- och beroendeavdelning samt tre vårdcentraler, i Luleå kommun upplever den gemensamma samverkan. För att besvara syfte och frågeställningar har intervjuer genomförts dvs. en kvalitativ forskningsmetod eftersom att avsikten är att beskriva upplevelser. Det insamlade empiriska materialet grundar sig på tre individuella intervjuer samt tre gruppsamtal ? totalt tolv intervjuade.

The purpose of this study is to increase knowledge and clarify how active educators regard ICT- tools as aids, both the educators currently using the ICT- tools to improve writing skills and educators who have not yet embraced it. The study is based on four interviews with educators working within the age groups grade 1- 3. The findings of this study show a strong commitment among all educators, in terms of students' writing skills and their different approaches to working with writing skills, which is important as one method should not preclude another. In the findings a considerable curiosity can be seen for ICT- tools for writing instruction by the educators who have not embraced it. The thesis also gives insight on the parts that will needto be supplemented from Boverket?s requirements in terms of accessibility,acoustic and fire requirements.The methods used in this thesis are literature studies, case study and sketch work.In the literature studies, the primary sources were Boverkets byggregler BBR, andArbetsmiljöverkets föreskrift AFS 2009:2 but other literature were also used. Purpose: This study examines pedagogues? thoughts about children?s understanding of death, and their reactions to the death of a relative. The aim is also to examine pedagogues? thoughts about their part in supporting bereaved children, and how they wish to do so. Method: Seven pedagogues, who work with six to nine year old children, were interviewed.

This thesis focuses on RM and customer relationships and tries to answer two research questions: how firms can retain customers and how to generate profitable customer relationships by using relationship marketing. We conducted case studies on JOB media, a company in Luleå, and Polardörren, a company in Öjebyn, Piteå. Our research has revealed that in many ways our case study companies conform in major ways to the theory in this particular area. However there are differences between how these two firms go about in regard to customer retention and establishing profitable customer relationship. We have discovered that JOB media, which is a service company is more inclined to maintaining close and long-term relationships with its customers.

The findings in this case study are mainly based on material collected during a field trip with a fellow student to Laos in February-March 2005, which was sponsored by Sida through a Minor Field Study scholarship. The original interest was to study a political aid project (Governance and Administrative Reform Project Luang Prabang, GPAR LP) in a country like Laos with very complex preconditions such as one-party polity. In Laos my interest in evaluation of political aid grew mainly because I found out that the two donors in the project, Sida and the UNDP, had reached different conclusions in their respective evaluations of the project.The main interest in this thesis has been to study how donors have evaluated a political aid project. The study shows that Sida and UNDP used, what in the literature usually is referred to as, Conventional evaluation as methodology when they conducted their evaluations of GPAR LP. The study also shows that the main reason for the different points of view that are expressed in the evaluations depend on a lack of dialogue and consensus, regarding for the project crucial concepts, rather than choice of evaluation methodology.

There has been an increase in the importance and amount of information concerning publicly traded stocks in recent years. When analyzing and valuing stocks finding new ways of collecting information has therefore increased in importance. This thesis aims to explore how meetings with management can impact the stock valuation done by the security analysts. Furthermore the case study examines what kind of information analysts can receive by interpreting management at these meetings. This case study of ten Swedish security analysts show that the analyst?s stock valuation is directly or indirectly affected by the meetings.

I uppsatsen undersöks gymnasielärares relation till IT och lärande och hur deras synsätt befrämjar IT-inlärning. Undersökningar har under fler decennium i Sverige pekat på att datorer borde användas mer som ett pedagogiskt verktyg i skolan. Idag finns tekniken och det borde falla naturligt in i rutinerna att använda datorer. Mitt källmaterial och egna erfarenheter redovisar att ungdomarna redan har skaffat sig en IT-vana. Dessvärre stödjer inte lärsituationen IT-användningen ändå.
