The aim of this essay is to investigate the situation for democracy in China. The study raises two main questions. They are as follows: Are there obstacles to a democratization process in China? and Are there openings when it comes to a gradual change for democratization in China? The theoretical framework consists of Robert A.Dahl´s Polyarchy theory, and in addition , five factors promoting democracy. Also the notion of an MDP-society (a modern, dynamic and pluralistic society) is looked upon.

Både teoretiker och praktiker har vänt sin uppmärksamhet mot framgångsrika företag (bästa praxis).  I korthet innebär ett business case inom CSR ett besvarande av frågan ?Vilka fördelar har företagen och samhället av CSR??.

This report intends to analyze the difference between the original rules and a modification of the rules for the Scandinavian version of the world famous dice game yatzy (yahtzee). Several works are made previously existing strategies for yatzy and Yahtzee.The study was conducted using the optimal strategy calculated and implemented in the programming language Java. The execution of the application to create the file containing the optimal strategy was running on leased powerful servers from Amazon and took just over six hours each.A simulated player played 100,000 games based on the strategy, to obtain data which then was used to plot graphs and analyze the expected score and its standard deviation. The expected value (mean) and standard deviation of the score for the possibility of three or four throws were 233.00 ± 44.82 and 280.07 ± 41.25.In view of the results drawn the expected conclusion that the four possible throws provides increased probability of getting a high score, unlike the case where the player may only be able to throw the dice three times. The fact that the variance is lower in the case of four throw session is equivalent to that the likelihood to get close to the expected value increases..

The University of Gotland has between the years 2006-2011 conducted seminar excavations in Västergarn parish, Gotland. During this time 167 comb fragments have been registered. Out of these are 51 of importance for this study, since they are defined as either a single-sided composite comb or a comb case. The purpose of this thesis is to enlighten the earliest period in the history of Västergarn by focusing on the earliest forms of combs and their cases. And as the title expresses do the combs date to the Viking Age or the Middle Ages? The combs from the excavations will be compared to different type schemes, both Viking Age and Middle Age and different places in Scandinavia such as Lund, Oslo, Lödöse and Gotland.

My purpose with the study is to investigate if it is possible to argue in favor of organizing public libraries according to the client based theory. To create a base to argue from I have studied UFO, a department focused on young adults at the age between 15 and 25 at the public library of Malmö. This case study, performed by investigating the documentation of UFO as well as conducting an interview with the project leader, is the base from which I then can argue for or against the idea of organizing public libraries according to the client based theory. Public libraries should always reflect the communities they serve. This challenges the staff of different libraries in different regions to arrange their organizations accordingly to their local population and to be flexible enough to follow the changes of this population.

När barn ska försöka tolka en text men ännu inte knäckt ?läskoden? tar de bilder till hjälp. Bilden är ett naturligt uttrycksmedel för barn. Barn kommunicerar också med varandra genom bilder. Att använda bild som pedagogiskt verktyg är ett sätt att alternera undervisningen för att anpassa undervisningen till varje elevs förutsättningar och behov.

Syftet med studien är att undersöka hur lärplattan kan användas som pedagogiskt verktyg i förskola och förskoleklass. Vi vill undersöka de lärande och sociala samspel som eventuellt sker mellan barnen. Vidare undersöks hur pedagogernas förhållningssätt inverkar på barnens möjlighet till lärande kring lärplattan. Pedagogernas syn på fördelar och nackdelar gällande lärplattan granskas. Studiens frågeställningar besvarades utifrån den sociokulturella teorin.

När användare bestämmer sig för att utveckla gränssnitt till sina system sker detta via någon form av verktyg. Vi måste avgöra vilken utvecklingsmetodik som ska användas och hur vi kan tillföra mer funktionalitet för att systemet inte ska bli föråldrat. För att svara på detta bryter vi upp arbetet i två delar. I första delen undersöker vi vilken programmeringsmetodik som lämpar sig bäst för gränssnittsutveckling genom en undersökning i två delar. I andra delen ser vi över vilka lösningar som existerar för att implementera ny funktionalitet till ett verktyg för att sedan presentera en egen lösning..

In this Bachelor thesis I am going to look at attitudes towards political violence in a small town in Sweden in the 1920s. The town I have picked for this study is Kalmar situated on the east coast of Sweden. This study is a micro historic case study. The specific case is a strike at the city?s water and gas plants for higher salary.

Today?s companies offer their products and services through multiple distribution channels in an increasing extent, in order to reach bigger markets and more customers. Multiple channels result in an increased risk for channel conflict.This essay is an exploratory and descriptive study with the purpose to explore some companies? channel conflicts on the basis of sales commission and price differences. A case study has been made at two different companies and the empirical material has been collected with qualitative interviews.We found more channel conflicts in the company that uses sales commissions than in the company that doesn?t.

Introduktionen av nätupplagor på svenska dagstidningar har haft storinverkan på svenskarnas nyhetsläsande, samtidigt som dennapublicering i flera kanaler också skapat stora förändringar gällandejornalisternas arbetssätt. Medan en dagstidning i pappersform oftastendast har en deadline per dygn, präglas nättidningarna starkt av enkontinuerlig publiceringsprocess. Vi har med denna uppsatsundersökt vilka krav flerkanalspublicering ställer på journalistensarbetsverktyg, med utgångspunkt i vilka hjälpmedel som används idagsläget. Vi har använt oss av etnometodologisk och etnografiskmetod, där vi intervjuat och observerat ett antal reportrar ochfotografer i deras dagliga arbete på Göteborgs-Posten. Under vårstudie har vi funnit ett antal programvaror och fysiska redskap sombör finnas i en journalists verktygslåda.

Syftet med vår studie är att undersöka hur pedagoger resonerar kring pedagogisk dokumentation ute i verksamheten. Vad och varför dokumenterar pedagogerna? Vad ser pedagogerna för möjligheter respektive hinder med pedagogisk dokumentation som verktyg? och även hur barnen involveras i detta arbete. Vi har valt att använda oss av kvalitativa intervjuer och enkätundersökningar. Svaren har sedan analyserats med hjälp av relevant litteratur.
