Warmer climate is a driving factor to species expansion northwards. Expansion to new areas can result in escape from natural enemies, resulting in reduced levels of mortality and thereby potentially increasing the rate of expansion. The most important parasitoid species attacking Butterfly larvae belong to the families Tachinidae, Ichneumonidae and Braconidae. The aim of this thesis was to investigate parasitism and difference between populations in established area and newly colonized area for the European map Butterfly, Araschnia levana, in order to examine if the Butterfly has escaped from some natural enemies. In 1982 the first European map Butterfly was observed in Sweden and has now established up to middle Småland.

Problemen som teorin om kulturell orientalism sätter fingret på innefattar olika aspekter av representation; hur orientalerna (redan det ett problematiskt begrepp i sig) har gestaltats i konsten. Ett av de centrala problemen är att etnicitet lyfts fram före individualitet: en orien- talisk man är i första hand orientalisk, och bara i andra hand man.

The Apollo Butterfly, Parnassius apollo, is categorized as Near Threatened (NT) in IUCN Red List. Today in Sweden it is found only in strongly fragmentized populations. In the county of Stockholm, P. apollo exists exclusively in some islands of the archipelago and with one mainland population in Stora Vika. This study has the purpose of expanding the knowledge of the local conditions for the Butterfly in the south parts of the county of Stockholm and thereby contributes to a sustainable land management that can preserve the Apollo Butterfly.A comparative study was done between areas where the Butterfly today have: a stable population (Stora Vika, Utö and Ålö), has disappeared (Muskö and Yxlö) or is strongly declining (north part of Ornö).

Many of Europe?s day-living butterflies have shown decreasing populations during the last decades and many species are threatened. Many butterflies are dependent on managed semi-natural grasslands because of their richness in nectar sources and host plants for the Butterfly larva. Swedish pastures are mostly managed through grazing. The number of cattle in Sweden have been decreasing while the number of sheep in the country increased by 30%.

Användning av gamla informationssystem (IS) innebär problem i form av underhållningskostnader, utbyggnadsproblem och dålig interaktion med anställda (Bisbal, Lawless, Wu & Grimson 1999).Problemen leder till att företag vill byta ut sina gamla IS mot nya. I detta arbete behandlas migration, det vill säga då all funktionalitet från ett gammalt IS ska överföras till ett nytt (Bisbal m.fl, 1999).Arbetet syftar till att skräddarsy en befintlig migrationsmetod så att en generell migrationsmetod blir unik och kan användas till just det användarfall som åsyftas i arbetet. Den migrationsmetod som skräddarsyddes var The Butterfly Methodology. Genom att följa de faser och aktiviteter som migrationsmetoden innehåller erhölls ett antal resultat som initierade en migrationsprocess.De slutsatser som arbetet kom fram till var att genom att skräddarsy en migrationsmetod kunde en generell arbetsprocess göras unik så att den passade det användarfall som tas upp i arbetet. Migrationsmetoden innehöll även ett antal faser och aktiviteter som utgjorde stöd vid migrationsprocessen.
