It has become more important for companies to communicate in order to gain competitive advantage. Gothenburg Culturefestival has a large number of visitors and since last year they have noticed that there are not as many visitors from some multicultual areas in Gothenburg. This makes it interesting to see what kind of problems that exists in the current communication. Problem statement: What noise is there in communicating to a multicultural target group and how does they affect the goals and the result with the communication?Purpose: The purpose of this paper is based on the communicationmodel and from there describe the communication between companies and multicultural areas, and from this identify problems with such communication.Method: 118 respondents were selected through a convenience sample and then  asked questions through structured interviews based on a questionnaire.

Applications for mobile devices, also known as apps, are today the backbone of a huge market where the company Apple is one of the key players. Apple develops, among other things, handheld electronic devices, which are powered by the operating system iOS. Through iOS, millions of customers get access to Apple?s App Store.During a period of two months, an app in the form of a game has been developed for iOS in the programming language Objective-C. The user of the app is presented intuitive menus and interactive graphical objects that seemingly obey physical laws.

Archbishop KG Hammar has attracted attention for his liberal position in theology. His view on the role of language and communication is central in several books and articles he has published as leader of the Church of Sweden. One of his main theses is the fact that meaning is created in the encounter between text and reader. He often reiterates: God is relation. This non-traditional dynamic stance has a broad impact not only on theology.

In this degree project I have studied how an anti-discrimination bureau can adapttheir online information to the target group ? immigrants who only have modestunderstanding of the Swedish language. This group is often subject of discriminationmatters, and therefore it?s important that they can take part of the information.To find answers to my questions I have studied different relevant theories, performeda readability analysis on the online information and have had qualitativeinterviews with representatives from the target group. I have also tested my rewrittentexts on both representatives and other readers.The result from my studies has shown that it is words that are the most difficult inthe current online information, while length and structure of the sentences are alsoof importance when it comes to the readability.

This study is an attempt to shed light on the importance of fiction as a bridge between different cultures and traditions. The objective of this essay is threefold. First it explores the potentiality of fiction as a communication channel between different cultures, societies and social groups. Secondly, it studies the availability of foreign fiction in Swedish language. And thirdly it tries to approach and analyze the structures and mechanisms behind that availability.

Studiens syfte är att utforska en musikers kroppsspråk vid instuderingen av en orkesterstämma. Detta har observerats under instuderingen av förstaflöjtstämman i fjärde satsen av Brahms andra symfoni. Studien har sin utgångspunkt i det designteoretiska perspektivet och har genomförts med hjälp av videoobservationer under repetitionsperioden av verket. Jag har även fört loggbok under processen av självobservationen. Resultatet av studien visar att de kroppsliga resurserna kan hjälpa, men också stjälpa, den musikaliska processen och dess uttryck.

HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language) introducerades som ett enkelt och plattformsoberoende språk med syftet att göra information tillgänglig över hela världen och är idag det mest kända och använda språket på webben. När HTML skapades var det huvudsakliga användningsområdet publicering. Efter hand ökade mognaden hos användarna och behovet av mer avancerade tillämpningar ökade. The purpose of this study is to investigate the distribution of medieval ballads as semiotics of intertextuality in modern Swedish literature, here represented by August Strindberg, Erik Axel Karlfeldt, Kerstin Ekman and Katarina Frostenson. They are famous authors from different epochs, ranging from the period called ?the modern breakthrough? in the 1880s until the postmodernism of the present time. My aim is to expose their attraction to medieval balladry, and their different ways of using form, language and style from this old poetry in poems, prose and plays, explicit as well as implicit..

This report describes how wavefiles can be recorded with programs written in the C++ language . The report also describes how the recorded sound is handled before it can be analyzed. The report describes the different parts that make a wave file to a wave file and how Windows handle these files. There is always some silence or noise of unknown length that passes through the system before some interesting sound arrives. That silence or nose must not be recorded and therefore some function must be developed that can detect interesting sound or speech.

This research paper has the aim of examining Swedish and Australian teachers? knowledge base and use of learning strategies in their language classes. After conducting qualitative interviews, the interviewees? answers are tabled to corresponding descriptions of how strategies are communicated in current curricula of the two countries. The answers confirm that teachers? understanding of learning strategies partly agree with previous research on strategies.

Denna uppsats behandlar engelska som främmande språk och vilken roll genus kan spela för elevers lärande av språket. Genom observationer och enkäter i år 5 och år 6 har vi undersökt hur aktiva eleverna är under lektionsförloppen och vilken inställning de har till engelska som ämne. Undersökningen visar att pojkar och flickor har skilda intressen och detta kan påverka språkinlärningen. Pojkarna tog överlag större plats i klassrummet än flickorna gjorde. Pojkarna var mer aktiva under talövningarna medan flickorna var mer koncentrerade vid självständigt arbete och fokuserade på lärandet.

What is the relation of image and word, of sentences and pictures? What kind of message does this combination produce when juxtaposed on a single material plane? And how do we read its ?infinite? relation? These are the questions at the center of this inquiry. My main interest concerns the exact nature of the relation between photographic images and textual elements of poetic language when these are juxtaposed in what I call Phototext poetry.The thesis calls into question the conventional reading habits of the conjunction of photographs and texts, and seeks to understand the more complex connections intrinsic to the relation image/word and its material and perceptual play in poetic works. Does a text always ?anchor? the multiple meanings of an image, as Roland Barthes argues? What if the alterations of an image could ?anchor? certain fractions of a poetic, polysemantic textual construct? Is a photograph indifferent to the visual, material permutations of texts that certain contemporary poetic practices produce?I discuss phototextual works and collaborations of various kinds, from Molin fontän [?Molin?s fountain?] (1866) over classic surrealist poetry to language-oriented writing.

Undersökningen beskriver den matematiska kommunikationen mellan speciallärare och matematiksvaga elever. Den empiriska datan består av två matematiklektioner från år 9 i grundskolan. Datan analyserades för att finna olika typer av kommunikation.Lärarna var i många delar medvetna i sitt sätt att kommunicera med eleverna och undervisningsmiljön kändes trygg. Under lektionerna observerades två parallella språk, ett vardagsanknutet och ett matematiskt språk. Det framkom att ett tydligt förhållningssätt beträffande matematiskt språk kan underlätta för elevens inlärning samt medvetandegöra läraren om den kommunikativa betydelsen i undervisningen med styrdokumentens mål i fokus. .

Funderingar kring användningsfall? Denna uppsats belyser användningsfallsmodellering, en enkel, effektiv och vida spridd metod, dock förenad med vissa svårigheter. En fallstudie är genomförd på två företag för att illustrera hur användningsfall utformas och om det finns någon utformning som kan ge mervärde för utvecklingsprocessen. Ett mervärde vi funnit är att använda beskrivningssätt som alla förstår. Uppsatsen belyser även svårigheter relaterade till framtagningen, varför dessa uppstår och hur de kan undvikas.

Mitt syfte är också att studera om det finns tillräckligt med en förståelse på en förskola om barn med språkstörning. Jag vill fördjupa förståelsen för hur ett urval av förskolepersonal tänker och resonerar därför har jag valt att studera en förskola närmare, syftet med studien är inte att kunna dra generella slutsatser om hur all förskolepersonal tänker.
