FPGA-kort är ett bra verktyg för företag som snabbt vill kunna ta fram en prototyp för nya projekt, då de är omprogrammeringsbara så att samma hårdvara kan användas för att göra prototyper till mänger av olika system. Ett vanligt programmeringsspråk för att programmera FPGA-kort är VHDL som är ett hårdvarunära språk. Som ett komplement till VHDL är det väldigt användbart att kunna köra något mer generellt programspråk som till exempel C. Detta går att lösa genom att man använder en NIOS2-kärna i FPGA-kretsen och överför kompilerad C-kod till den från en persondator.Denna rapport kommer att beskriva hur man på ett Altera DE2 FPGA-kort kan implementera olika lösningar för att använda externa gränssnitt till en NIOS2?kärna.

NMD 100 is a notes and media dispensing machine, manufactured by De La Rue Ltd, located in Flen, Sweden. The customers, mainly bank offices, have expressed a need for a more comprehensive description of errors occurring from time to time in their machines. In order to acquire a BSc-degree in Computer and Electronics Technology at the University of Linköping I have carried out a diploma work, regarding new computer programs to fulfil the customers? wishes. The machine NMD 100 is connected to its PC through handshaking.

Utö ligger ca 16 km nordost om Nynäshamn i Stockholms skärgård som förvaltas av Skärgårdsstiftelsen. På öns norra del ligger Utö Värdshus som har hotell, stugor, restaurang, konferens och-samlingslokaler. Delar av Värdshuset är idag uppvärmda med hjälp av värmepumpar i en värmecentral som tar sin värme från närbelägna vattenfyllda gruvhål. Ventilationen i fastigheterna som används som konferens och samlingslokaler är bristfällig och uppfyller inte dagens standard för konferenslokaler.Syftet med projektet var att undersöka möjligheter och kostnader för att förbättra ventilationen i byggnaderna samt undersöka förslag för att minska energianvändningen. Projektet har genomförts i samarbete med Skärgårdsstiftelsen, Utö Värdshus och med Värmex som bidragit med underlag för värmecentralen.

During my studies to become a guitar Builder at Carl Malmsten CTD, I have found an interest in the construction of the classical guitar. I am fascinated by the simplicity of its construction. A simplicity that becomes more complex when you start to study it in detail.In my final thesis I will not try to explain this complexity. The subject is to investigate two different principles regarding its construction. I would like to find out if the sayings concerning one of the principles will yield a guitar with greater ability to produce volume and projection.At a close distance the difference between the guitar?s volumes is not to speak of, but a significant difference can be seen regarding one of the guitars ability to project its sound.

This paper deals with testing the method Reflectance Transformation Imaging (RTI) on the copy of the Piraeus-lion in Historic Museum in Stockholm. The purpose is to find out if it is possible to gather more information about the runic inscriptions. RTI is a method that records the surface normal of individual pixels in a digital photograph by analyzing the impact of light coming from different angles of entrance. RTI produces sort of a 3D-image of the object. There will be an overview of earlier interpretations of the runic scripts written on the lion as well as an overview of Varangians in the southeast.

For that reason 25 archives fromSwedish Building Corporations have been investigated concerning their size, contents and age. The scope of this investigation is to decide how and to what extent the energy consumption of apassive house is affected by the users? knowledge and habits. To achieve this a literary study hasbeen made and as a complement the planning of a passive house was completed.The result of a primary study of the rules and regulations that effect passive houses in Swedenshows that the user?s influence on passive houses is a completely unregulated area. Even thoughthere is no regulation, a need for some general knowledge of the passive house concept has beenexpressed.To further investigate how the users? knowledge and habits affect the energy consumption and ifthere is a difference between different households? energy consumption , three main factors havebeen identified.
