This thesis explore women?s needs when reentering society after having served a sentence at the female prison Färingsö, outside Stockholm and whether those needs are being met in the reentry strategies that are being provided. Parallel to this the thesis also examines if there, based on nonconformity and gender theories, is a socially constructed representation of women maintained in the rehabilitation work.The method of this thesis applied semi-structured interviews and used snowball sampling to expand the network of informants to obtain the data necessary. Totally five interviews were carried out. Previous research has shown that women in prison have much more complex problems than men and that there is a need for reentry strategies that take gender in account.The results showed that in terms of being able to reenter back in society, women needed help to structure a previously chaotic life.

How the running and controlling goes, vary on different municipalities, depending how the organization is constructed and what is being prioritised. There exist laws and directives which the businesses have to follow, but beyond this the organisations are quite free to prioritise and to decide what the best is for the community as a whole unit. The municipality has access to different tools which purpose is to help them running the organization as good as possible, so they can create a well-operated business. This is very important, regarding that the tax money should be spent in an effective way, and be able to do so it is required good and well-functioned system of control.A big change has happened when the instrument BSC (Balanced Scorecard) was introduced in certain municipality. In this essay the focus lies on two municipalities, Vellinge and Kristianstad.

The aim of this essay is to study how the University Church is represented in student newspapers. By conducting an inductive thematic analysis on sixteen articles chosen from newspapers distributed by the student union at three Swedish universities, the main purpose of the study is to further understand the role and function of the University Church in a contemporary Swedish context. Three themes emerging from the initial step of the thematic analysis were chosen for further analysis: (1) a secularized church?, (2) provocation and (3) reasons to seek out the University Church. The themes were then highlighted by two theoretical perspectives: Mark Chaves? theory of internal secularization and a theoretical framework developed by Anders Bäckström with the aim to explain the role of the church as a welfare agent in Sweden.The study shows that the University Church is portrayed as both an ambiguous and complex organization.

Vattenfall and Svenska Kraftnät perform start-up tests, where hydropower generators are used to power up the electrical grid in case of a blackout. To monitor the electrical grid, Phasor Measurement Units (PMU) are used. Each PMU is individually equipped with a GPS-receiver to precisely timestamp the data relative to the official time UTC. During the test, it is also of interest to timestamp the measurement signals from individual hydropower generators to later compare with PMU-data, and thus study the power grids impact on the generator. The aim is to work out an appropriate method to make these measurements and to build a data acquisition system, capable of timestamp data relative to UTC, from a generator in one of Vattenfalls hydroelectric power stations. The problem is that the generator is located in an underground station which hampers the reception of GPS-signals and wiring should be avoided if possible. Time synchronization has been solved by using Vattenfalls network, which is synchronized by the network protocol NTP.

In this thesis, three separate experiments have been performed on different aspects of the interaction between the causal agent of clubroot, Plasmodiophora brassicae, and its hosts. In the first experiment the pathotype of the P. brassicae single spore isolate, which is currently used to construct a reference genome, has been classified using the ECD bioassay. The disease severity of infected plants was scored according to two different scales and the pathotype was determined according to three previously published guidelines. The results were compared to previous published studies describing the e3 isolate. The life cycle of P. brassicae is not well understood.

SammanfattningSyftet med vår undersökning var att förklara det svenska helägda kommunala aktiebolagets funktionella inriktning. Helägda kommunala aktiebolag präglas av sin särart, de verkar under vissa regler och lagar som inte tillämpas på privata aktiebolag och har en politisk ägare, denna särart förväntade vi oss skulle påverka dess styrelses funktionella inriktning. Den största delen av tidigare studier angående styrelsens funktionella inriktning är utförda i den privata sektorn, vilket har inneburit att vi har utvecklat befintliga teorier med hänsyn till det helägda kommunala aktiebolagets särart. För att uppnå målet med vår undersökning valde vi att använda ett positivistiskt synsätt med en deduktiv ansats. För att undersöka styrelsens funktionella inriktning har vi baserat undersökningen på institutionell-, agent-, stewardship- och public choice teori.

Abstrakt I den här uppsatsen i statsvetenskap studeras Rysslands president Vladimir Putins agerande under Krim-krisen. Den har som syfte att söka en rationell förklaring för dennes agerande med åtanke av att ytterst få västerländska bedömare förmådde förutse en rysk intervention på Krim. Samt att på ett bredare plan analysera svårigheterna med att förutse militära interventioner.  För att ge en sådan förklaring används en rally-round-the-flag modell som kompletterande perspektiv. Materialet till studien har funnits i huvudsak i massmediala källor där nyhetsartiklar som analyserar händelseförloppet och motiven bakom det har studerats.

Uppsatsen syfte är att belysa maskulinitetsnormer i utbildningsmaterialet Machofabriken. Utifrån en teoretisk förståelse problematiseras också hur handlingsutrymmet att göra maskulinitet kan påverkas för de deltagande killarna efter att de har tagit del av Machofabrikens verksamhet. De mer specifika frågeställningarna är:Vilka föreställningar kring maskulinitet ger utbildningsmaterialet Machofabriken uttryck för? Vilka maskuliniteter bör förändras och varför, och vad bör de ersättas med?Hur ska förändring genomföras, vilka är Machofabrikens verksamma komponenter?Vilka konsekvenser kan Machofabrikens verksamhet få för de deltagande killarna efter att de har arbetat med utbildningsmaterialet?Metod och material: En kvalitativ ide- och ideologianalys av utbildningsmaterialet Machofabriken som är uppsatsens empiriska material.Huvudresultat: Analysen av utbildningsmaterialet Machofabriken påvisade att problematiska maskuliniteter, många gånger med våldstendenser, framställdes i metodmaterialets filmer i större utsträckning än önskvärda maskuliniteter. Det tryckta textmaterialet med arbetsövningar och diskussionsfrågor har dock potential att lyfta fram hur maskuliniteter är en social konstruktion och därför föränderlig.

I denna studie har vår avsikt varit att undersöka om det finns något samband i användandet av earnings management och vd:ns inblandning i styrelsen.Syfte: Syftet är att undersöka om earnings management förekommer i större omfattning i företag där vd:n är invald i styrelsen än företag där vd:n inte är med i styrelsenMetod: Studien har använts sig av en kvantitativ forskningsstrategi, där utgångspunkten har varit en deduktiv forskningsansats. I insamlandet av data har vi använt oss av en metod som heter innehållsanalys.

Korröfestivalen- en bordunstämmas resa genom festivaliseringenThe Korrö festival- The establishment of a Swedish Folk Music Festival.This thesis describes how folk music festivals have been escalating during the past few and how they have influenced Swedish folk music. To reach my results I have been studying one festival in particular which is the Korrö Folk Music Festival. This event started in the mid-eighties as a small happening that attracted almost exclusively musicians that were a part of the bordooon movement. The bordoon movement gathered a couple of days in the summer at what they called the ?Korrö bordunstämma? to build instruments and play folk music.

SAAB Aerotech division FGR in Arboga builds and develops equipment and components used in both military and civilian applications. To build a test system for a specific project that SAAB is responsible for requires a simple signal generator that can provide a pulse modulated signal. The need to buy a new advanced signal generator for example from Agilent is not as profitable as the instrument is expensive and contains features that SAAB does not require in their applications and test systems. That was the reason why SAAB offers two students a thesis where the goal is to construct a signal generator in accordance with what SAAB requests.This thesis contains several different phases. The first step was a meeting with our supervisor Mats Bergman and by reading the data sheets for components to be used in the project, with these information and specifications that we have received from SAAB we started to construct the signal generator.What we did during the construction work was to simulate and draw a schematic to be able to design the circuit board.

The report provides an overview of possible factors influencing an investor in the investment process of an environmentally certified building. The report explains why building companies find incentive to build green buildings and how a cash flow method can be adapted so it can be used in the valuation process of an environmentally certified building. Environmentally certified buildings are used as a strategy to reduce emissions that threaten the environment as well as a strategy to obtain market shares for the building companies. This report focuses on the economic advantages of an environmentally certified building.The construction- and real estate industry stands for approximately 40 percent of the energy consumption in the world.

This essay is a study that contributes to the larger research question ?Why do farms shut down?? The subject was chosen because it is a relevant problem that needs to be studied more. This study's boundary is to investigate the reasons for decisions leading to the farms at the Torstuna community, Fjärdhundra, changes in any activity scale or the outlook of the entire farm. When a decision is made, there are usually several reasons behind it and it is these reasons which this essay is aiming to study. The question "What are the reasons for the elderly to live on the farm even though the farm is not cultivated by them?" is also covered in the study.
