I Europas hjärta; Det brittiska ordförandeskapet under förhandlingarna om EU:s långtidsbudget 2007-2013

This thesis analyses the 2005 UK presidency of the Council, and more particularly the negotiations on the future financing of the European Union. The purpose of the study is to discuss whether the holding of the presidency implies political influence for the member state. To analyse the power of the country holding the chair the thesis focuses on the presidency functions of Brokering and leadership. The theory suggests that the influence of the presidency is derived from informational and procedural power resources, as well as some leadership resources, such as coercion and reward. A case study was used to analyse whether these power resources were used by the British presidency.

Background: The devolopment in the exchange market has attract a large number of investors. The information flow is extensive and it might be hard to follow the dynamic market. Some investors therefore choose to place their capital in a stock portfolio which is manged by a professional firm with no influence from the capital owner, this management is called discretionary managing. Purpose: the purpose of the thesis is to examine the working methods and the rationality regarding the management of the discretionary portfolios. The purpose is also to try to examine whether there is a relation between the selected risk, return and fees.

Today's real estate buyers value the purchase different today compared to a decade back. Previously it was the return value that ruled the market. This has created problems when the Broker must allocate the purchase price of the property's various elements, because non-monetary values such as forest for leisure, recreation, and the feeling of owing has increased in recent years and an increasingly important part in the valuation process. The assessed value can be a guide, but is perceived today to be stereotyped to put a fair value at the individual item. The purpose of this study was to provide the real estate agent decision support and a guide to the likely value of accounting for the purchase price. The report is written on behalf of LRF Konsult. The result is based on a questionnaire survey which was conducted in June 2014 among all those who had bought a farming property in Dalarna and Gävleborg province mediated by LRF Konsult in 2013. The report was made with a split to see if the valuation and motives differ between new and previous owners. It was possible to see a big difference in the reason for the purchase, where a large share of new owner bought the land for capital investment, in contrast to previous owners whose biggest group bought for an active use. At several points it was possible to identify a higher non-monetary value of the new owner from the previous landowner.

The report begins with a background description that describes how the energy declaration works and some of the findings of previous evaluations and surveys. A survey to investigate the Broker's position to energy performance have been conducted as well as interviews with buyers and sellers of houses. An investigation whether the energy performance can vary between different calculation programs, depending on various assumptions made by the energy declarant, has been made.Brokers and sellers have proved negative attitudes towards energy performance, particularly Brokers.

AbstractProblem: This thesis was made by a commission from Svensk Logistikanalys AB (SLA). SLA is a relatively new firm who is working as a freight Broker for firms that wants to lower their freight costs. SLA contacted Jönköpings international business school because they experienced a problem with too many firms, that had SLA?s concept introduced to them, but turned down their services. On the basis of this, following purpose of the report has been stated.Purpose: In this thesis we will study companies that have said no to the services of SLA.

Those who have invested in apartments, i.e. tenant-ownership, within the city centre of Stockholm have gained a higher than expected return on investment due to a buoyant real estate market. During the latest twelve-month period, the prices have risen more than 20 per cent in the city of Stockholm, resulting in an increased wealth together with a higher debt burden among investors. The aim of this thesis is to investigate which factors determine the prices from a micro perspective, and to what extent. An attempt is particularly made to estimate the degree of capitalization of the monthly fees; a factor which has turned out to be important according to other studies; but also to construct pricing models in order to set target prices for apartments.

Lärcentrum i biblioteket, möjligheter och utmaningar. Tre aktörsgruppers syn på lärcentrum och dess samverkan med biblioteket

The aim of this thesis is to investigate the points of view of three groups of actors about their local learning center and its collaboration with the library. By interviewing groups of actors from the municipal sector, the library staff and students, I aim to investigate their associations of the learning centre, what kind of services it should offer, and how they understand the role of the library staff in specific collaboration between the public library and the adult education administration. The study design is based on Gunnar Grepperud?s and Terje Thomsen?s three missions for a local learning centre; the mission of a Broker, a meeting place and a motivator. I also use Carol Kuhlthau?s levels of mediation as an approach to investigate how the actors want the library staff to work in relation to the centre.

Drivkrafter & Strategier : En studie av fristående mikroföretag i fastighetsmäklarbranschen

Syfte: Syftet med vår forskning är att söka förståelse för hur fristående mikroföretag överlever påen konkurrensutsatt och snabbt växande bostadsmarknad.Metod: Denna studie bygger på en kvantitativ metod i form av enkäter. Totalt samlades 95 enkäterin, vars svar analyserades med hjälp av SPSS i form av faktor- och klusteranalys.Resultat & slutsats: Undersökningens resultat visar att den främsta drivkraften hosmikroföretagarna är friheten och möjligheten att sätta egna villkor/bestämma själv. Den störstakonkurrenten visade sig vara Sveriges marknadsledande företag, Fastighetsbyrån, och mikroföretagens främsta konkurrensmedel ansåg de själva vara en mer personlig service samt derasmöjlighet att till större del kunna anpassa sig efter kunden. Gällande strategier har vi hittatstatistiska samband mellan strategisk planering och framgång.Förslag till fortsatt forskning: Vi rekommenderar vidare att framtida forskare undersökermikroföretag genom en kvalitativ metod, för att förstå deras situation mer på djupet. Vidareforskning skulle även kunna beakta andra branscher än fastighetsmäklarbranschen.Uppsatsens bidrag: Till ämnet företagsekonomi bidrar detta examensarbete till att förstå varföregenföretagare driver mikroföretag, samt en förståelse hos dessa för olika konkurrensmedel ochöverlevnadsstrategier på en konkurrensutsatt marknad..

IT-system i de flesta organisationer består ofta av en stor mängd olika applikationer som är utvecklade under åren med varierad teknik på olika plattformar. Applikationerna kommunicerar med varandra över ett datanätverk, med den information och teknik som passade för ändamålet då de utvecklades. Med allt snabbare förändringstakt ökar behovet av applikationsintegration. För att hantera komplexiteten används i allt större omfattning någon form av Message Oriented Middleware (MOM) som bas för kommunikation mellanapplikationer. Då applikationer ansluts genom ett centralt MOM-system möjliggörs kommunikation som baseras på en-till-många, vilket skapar förutsättningar för en specifik variant som kallas för publish/subscribe.

AbstractBuying real estate property is a complex process for the uninitiated. Apotential buyer has to keep track of laws and regulations affecting theproperty. The purchase of a property is for many also the largest deal made inlife and because of that it is especially important to make sure everything getsdone correctly.A real estate property purchase contains a number of different elements, suchas engineering data and inspection of the property and documentation to makesure that the signing of contracts and clauses are done according to the laws ofthat country. These purchase process steps are ordinary people not familiarwith, and therefore they hire the help of a real estate agent.Buying a property abroad complicates things because the countries have theirown laws and rules that make them different from the Swedish rules which theSwedish real estate buyers are accustomed to.Our thesis is about exploring if a Swedish buyer knows the buying process inforeign countries, or whether they rely on the Broker they hired. The countrieswe have chosen to examine and compare against Sweden is Spain, Thailandand Turkey.Our questions will be answered by interviewing buyers about how they feelabout their buying process, if they encountered any problems before, duringor after their purchase, and if they are happy with their purchase after theevent.Our study shows that the buying processes in all four countries are generallyequal to each other.

Förnyelse och enhet. Motsatspar eller partners? : En frågeställning belyst av den ekumeniska utvecklingen i Uddevalla 1975-2000

1900-talets sista fyra decennier innebar stora förändringar för kyrkorna i såväl globalt som lokalt perspektiv. Två rörelser inom kristenheten spelade stor roll för utvecklingen: den ekumeniska rörelsen och den karismatiska rörelsen. Mötet mellan de etablerade kyrkorna och framför allt den karismatiska förnyelserörelsen var inte enkelt. Tonläget mellan dem var tidvis högt. Under 1980- och 90-talen skadades relationer mellan både människor och organisationer vid sådana möten.
