This essay is called Imaginary non-community, How Swedish press portrayed the fight for freedom in Tunisia and Hungary 1955 and 1956 and it describes how two similar struggles for freedom are portrayed through the eyes of the most popular Swedish news papers Dagens Nyheter, Aftonbladet and Expressen. In 1955-56 Sweden is a country where the focus lies within the nation itself with economic growth and the building of folkhemmet. The Swedish social program for a more improved living condition. Outside of Sweden the cold war is reigning and the Swedish international politics is careful and passive. The purpose of this essay was to overview the conflicts regarding the exhibition space (Kunsthalle) Tensta Konsthall during 2003 and 2004, in order to gain an understanding of the following: why the conflict started, if anyone exceeded their authority, how the case has been reviewed in the press, what kind of value judgements lay behind the actions and why this case has received so much attention. By studying mainly press material and political documents it has been made clear that Tensta Konsthall?s location in an ill reputed suburb of Stockholm has been the cause for its exposure to different demands and expectations compared to other similar exhibition spaces. Thinning is the partial removal of trees in a forest stand prior to final harvest. The term can be divided in pre-commercial thinning where little if any volume is removed from the stand and commercial thinning where removals are intended to provide a positive economic result. From a silvicultural point of view, the goal of thinning is to enhance future crop tree quality by removing low-quality stems and providing sufficient space for the accelerated development of retained ones (Huuskonen & Hynynen, 2006). The goals of this study was to see if commercial thinning could positively affect the short and medium term timber supply (MTTS) in the Interior regions of British Columbia (BC), and whether or not Scandinavian forestry practices could be adopted in the BC context. The mountain pine beetle (Dendroctonus ponderosae Hopkins) has created significant forest planning problems in BC. The annual allowable cut (AAC) was raised to capture beetle-killed timber while still merchantable.

One of the most discussed archaeological subjects is the neolitisation, and the start of a neolithic lifestyle which is characterized by several significant events. The traditional view has been that settled people were cultivating and breeding, but this picture has been questioned and changed in later years. The development is principally based on two models; that already neolithic people immigrated and took over, or that the new lifestyle gradually developed out of the existing cultures. Southern Scandinavia was characterized by a settlement pattern with permanent settlements which were complemented by temporary special settlements, but in time more domestic settlements originated. On the British Isles the settlements didn´t consist of permanent agricultural settlements but instead did the people here move freely between several short term settlements.  .

The aim of this study was to look into the approach of swedish journalists towards Twitter and how they apply the media ethics when using Twitter.The method for this research was a survey answered by 371 Swedish journalists, from workplaces of various contents and geographical spread, of which 271 were users of Twitter. Our results are based on the survey and theories such as the social responsibility theory, the code of ethics for the Swedish press, radio and television, gatekeeping, normalizing twitter and the private sphere of Habermas.Our results showed that swedish journalists aim to apply the media etics in most aspects such as objectivity and gatekeeping. Also the guidelines of using twitter as a journalist, according to the respondents, mainly comes from the workplace and not the code of ethics. It also showed that the majority of the journalists were pleased with the current guidelines, or the absence of guidelines..

The aim with this study has been to examine and to analyze the discourse of Rosengård in Swedish media. With the concept of discourse is meant here specific ways to speak about and to understand the world, or a part of it. In order to reach increased understanding regarding media presentations and constructions of Rosengård, I have done a study about how Rosengård has been presented in the Swedish daily and evening press during the violent acts that took place in Rosengård in the spring and summer of 2008, when youths regarding to media put cars and containers on fire, and also threw stones at fire engines and other emergency service vehicles when these had to turn out to put out the fires. The collected data, containing newspaper articles, has been analyzed on the basis of the critical discourse analysis, CDA, which is a mould of a textanalytical method. This study applies a social constructivist perspective.

Denna uppsats behandlar adjektivets a- och e-ändelser i personsyftande bestämda nominalfraser. Syftet med studien är att se om det har skett en förändring i bruket av dessa former i tidningstext, och främst om e-ändelser har ökat för kvinnliga referenter och neutrumord samt a-ändelser för manliga referenter. Undersökningen är korpusbaserad och har genomförts i Språkbankens konkordanser, Press 65 och Press 98, där femtio adjektiv har valts ut och undersökts med båda formerna. Resultaten av undersökningen är att e-ändelser för kvinnliga referenter samt neutrumord har ökat något och även att a-ändelsen har ökat för manliga referenter. Detta tyder på att det har skett en uppluckring av den traditionella användningen av adjektivändelserna under den aktuella perioden.

Detta är en studie som syftar till att ta reda på hur två pedagoger arbetarmed datorer och belöning. I bakgrunden presenterar vi bland annatbegreppet motivation samt att vi går igenom några centrala delar i behaviorismen.För att finna svar till vårt syfte använde vi oss av observationeroch semistrukturerade intervjuer. I analysen av resultatet inspireradesvi av hermeneutiken och vår tolkning är att pedagogerna blandannat använder sig av datorerna för att motivera eleverna. This paper deals with the relations between landscape rooms and monuments in an area north of Mönsterås in Kalmar län. After archaeological excavations had been carried out in the area 1991, an article promote it to the ?Bronze Age district of Mönsterås? (Källström 1993). There are two main problems that I deal with in this paper. First: The relations between the natural places and the monuments or memorials.

Syfte:Att undersöka elitfotbollstränares användande av de idrottspsykologiska färdigheterna målsättning, visualisering, inre samtal, avslappning och refokusering för sin egen förberedelse och för att bli mer effektiv i sin tränarroll i samband med match.Frågeställningar:Arbetar tränaren medvetet med idrottspsykologiska färdigheter för sin egen förberedelse och för att bli mer effektiv i sin tränarroll i samband med match? Hur och när arbetar tränaren med idrottspsykologiska färdigheter för sin egen förberedelse och för att bli mer effektiv i sin tränarroll i samband med match?Metod:Sex manliga tränare i åldern 36-57 år med erfarenhet som ansvarig tränare på elitnivå deltog i undersökningen. Semistrukturerad intervju har använts som metod för datainsamling. Frågor och följdfrågor i intervjun var inriktade mot de fem idrottspsykologiska färdigheterna i syftet, mot tre scenarion (före, under och efter match) och mot mental press.Resultat:Alla tränare är överens om att det finns en mental press på elittränare i fotboll i samband med match. Alla sex tränare arbetar med de fem idrottspsykologiska färdigheterna, men det är bara i 13 fall av 30 som tränaren svarar att han arbetar medvetet med idrottspsykologiska färdigheter.

In this study we have explored and investigated how journalist experience the relationship with politicians/press secretaries in the making of political news. The study examines how journalists see the balance of power between them and their political sources in the setting of the news agenda. To do this we have used a qualitative interview analysis. Our theoretical starting points have been based on the social exchange model. The social exchange model has a social psychological and sociological perspective that explains the interaction, social exchange and stability as a process of negotiation exchanges between parties and operators.

School and education are topics that are frequent in Swedish media. The intention of this essay has therefore been to investigate the image of teachers and their profession in Swedish daily press. The overall aim has been to analyze how teachers are portrayed in the debate that followed the TV-show Klass 9A, and by that find how the debate defines the concept of a good teacher. The representation that was found was then compared to earlier studies. The series was shown on Swedish television between January and March 2011.26 articles were chosen and the ambition was to have various perspectives represented, such as different voices and also papers from different areas of the country.

Syftet med undersökningen har varit att få en bild av hur kristendomen som religion samt hur kristna identiteter framställs i svensk press. Undersökningen är en textanalys av ett antal artiklar där jag har undersökt vilka olika, eller lika, bilder som dags- och kvällstidningar ger av kristendomen och kristna i Sverige idag. Utifrån teorier om ?den andre? har jag undersökt om artiklarna framställer någon form av ?vi?- och ?de?- perspektiv mellan kristna och ?icke-kristna?. Syftet har också varit att försöka utskilja vilka retoriska grepp som används i framställningen av kristendomen och kristna.Undersökningens frågeställningar är:Hur framställs kristendomen i artiklarna?Hur konstrueras kristna identiteter i artiklarna?Hur ser relationen ut mellan skribent och läsare?Vilka retoriska grepp används i framställningen av kristendom och kristna?.

Renen och således renköttet har en stark koppling till den arktiska regionen men även norra Norrland som helhet. Denna koppling är inte minst skapad av att området även utgör vad som benämns som samernas sedvanemarker i vilket renskötsel bedrivs. Renköttet har kommit att bli ett vanligt inslag på de Norrländska restaurangmenyerna och i dagligvaruhandelns frysdiskar. Köttet har en betydelse inte bara för den lokala besöksnäringen utan har även kulturell betydelse för såväl regionen som den samiska befolkningen.  Syftet med uppsatsen har varit att skapa en grundförståelse för hur renköttet i en måltidskontext kommuniceras genom berättelser och svensk press. Men även se hur/om berättelserna skiljde sig åt mellan den samiska och den icke-samiska befolkningen.

This paper seeks to clarify the attitudes and positions of five Swedish Christiannewspapers in relation to the Suffrage reform (1907-11) and the Courtyardcrisis (1914). Furthermore I try to investigate the reasons behind their attitudesand positions. The five newspapers examined are: Göteborgs Stifts-Tidning,Församlingsbladet, Vår Lösen, Svenska Morgonbladet and Wecko-Posten.The results of my research show both convergence and divergence. Commonfor the newspapers is their criticism of the political agitation on the basisof ethics and that they all, except for Göteborgs Stifts-Tidning, recognizedemocratic principles. Divergence is evident, for example, in the reactions tothe consequences of the Courtyard crisis.I have distinguished three main factors that may help to explain the attitudesand positions of the newspapers?: nationalism versus internationalism,confessionalism and polarized political positions, and have found that the conceptof a ?Christian press? can be defended as well as put into question.
