AbstractThe purpose of this essay is to discover the driving forces in top athletes, concerning training, body image and social positioning. Furthermore the object is to study how important being fit is for social reasons in today?s society. The athletes have been interviewed face-to-face and described their personal drive regarding training, their goals and the significance of the sport. They have also described how they see the image of the ideal body that currently exists within the field of sport and society and how training affects their own body image.

En kvalitativ studie om hur personer med utländsk bakgrund upplever att integrationen fungerar i Sverige
Abstract Aim: Since there is a lack of research based educational interventions concerning the relationship between coaches and young athletes, the aim of this study was to implement and examine the effects of sport psychology intervention for coaches in a track and field club. The research questions were: What are the effects of an educational intervention for coaches, with focus on a motivational climate, on: A) the coaches´ coaching approach B) their athletes´ goal orientation and C) their athletes´ perceived competitive anxiety?Method: The coach education stretched over two months and consisted of four two-hour lessons with focus on motivational climate, goal orientation and sport anxiety. Six coaches (three females, three males), aged 38-52 (M=44.33 years, SD=4.84) and their 59 athletes (27 males and 32 females) aged 12-14 (M=13.10 years, SD=0.82), participated in the study. A control group of 35 athletes (10 males and 25 females), of the same age (M=13.46 years, SD=0.70) and with similar demographic data, was also recruited.
Värmestrålningssköldar som brandskydd av stålelement : En teoretisk undersökning
I samband med ett brandförsök i Australien ämnat att undersöka sprinklersystem, testades även några enklare värmestrålningssköldar av olika högreflekterande material. I försöket placerades tre obelastade pelare ut och utsattes för full brand. Två av pelarna avskärmades med förzinkad stålplåt respektive aluminiserad stålplåt och en pelare var helt oskyddad och användes som referens. Mätningar från brandförsöket visar att den maximala ståltemperaturen, i de tre olika pelarna, uppmättes till 580°C, 427°C respektive 1064°C. Även då resultaten var positiva har få vidare undersökningar utförts, vilket har motiverat denna rapport.Rapportens huvudmål har varit att med hjälp av teoretiska experiment påvisa att värmestrålningssköldar kan användas som brandskydd för stålkonstruktioner.

The purpose of this thesis is to study how Malaysia Airlines communicated during the two largest crises of 2014. Key questions to be answered are: Did organizational hypocrisy occur? If yes, in what way? Which communication strategies were used? Did the company mediate an unequivocal message and how was the information framed? Did any aggravating factors, which worsened the organization?s reputation, appear? How did Malaysia Airlines manage possible rumours? Was the word contact used as a keyword? The method of choice is a quantitative content analysis and the material consists of 20 different analysis units. These analysis units were collected from social media and Malaysia Airlines website. Förbättrad balans hos kvinnliga innebandyspelare efter fem veckors balansträning i relation till skaderisk. : En kombinerad litteraturstudie och empirisk studie
Introduction: Balance is a complicated term which includes a static, dynamic and functional part. These parts have, during a long period of time, been included into the existing training programs through several different balance exercises, which aim to prevent sports injuries mostly focused on the knee and ankle. In floorball these injuries are common and a sports injury prevention program is required.Purpose: The purpose is to explain the balance term and relate it to injury prevention training and the existing theories. A second purpose is to see whether five weeks of balance training increases the balance ability in female floorball players and thereby increase the test values in the two tests.Method: Twenty female floorball players participated in the study and were divided into a training group and a control group. They performed a Star excursion balance test (SEBT) and a Multiple single leg hop stabilization test (MSLHST) before and after a five week training period, containing exercises of balance.Results: The training group showed improvement after the training period, however only one significant result was found.

There are two ways to go for companies that intend to use social media as a marketing strategy, to be in the possession of their own information or get help from a third party.Problem definition: What factors are important in the long term survival of the companies when choosing a social media?Objective: The objective of this essay is to analyze and evaluate the personal blog and the company blog as an information technology strategy.Method: The essay will have a hermeneutic and quantitative approach in the form of a survey. Theories: Consumer Behavior, The Buying Decision Process, Involvement Theory, Business Concept, Branding, Total Communication Theory, Word-of-mouth/web and Service Profit Chain.Empiric: The empiric will consist of the results from the survey.Results: The result shows that the blog is effective as an information technology strategy however the companies should adapt their choice of blog to the products that they sell.Conclusion: Important factors for companies that seek long-term survival are involvement, communication and loyalty. It is also important to use a relationship marketing approach. .

Ett problem i offentlig miljö, som Habiliteringscenter Stockholm, är att enkelt och tillfredställande kunna informera de som vistas där hur de ska agera i händelse av brand. Denna information ska vara utformad så att alla som vistas där har möjlighet att begripa den. Detta är speciellt viktigt för offentliga miljöer där personer med funktionsnedsättning vistats. Metod som användes var att utföra en mindre litteraturstudie inom områdena befintlig brand/larm- och utrymningsrutiner, utvecklingstörning, kommunikationsteori och Habiliteringscenter Stockholm, för att få underlag till hur de tänkta rutinerna och informationsbroschyren skulle kunna se ut. Därefter arbetades det fram förslag som diskuterades och utvärderades av Rose-Marie Trillkott och Jan Gustafsson.

The Ministry of Enterprise, Energy and Communications has developed a document which outlines three specific proposals on what the government should focus on during a three?year period (2008?2010) that with the use of IT will contribute to a sustainable society.

This thesis intended to examine how small enterprises within the retail industry work with brand building of their corporate name. More specifically it intended to examine how they do to choose corporate name and corporate logotype, and how they work to create a desired corporate image. A case-study was performed with three case-companies from different industries. The method was deductive as the empirics were brought in with starting-point in the theoretical frame of reference. The study showed that there are differences in the way small enterprises within the retail industry work with the brand-building of their corporate name.
Lekland: Utrymningsmöjligheter och möjlig brand
Under 2010 brann ett så kallat lekland ner i Borlänge. Brandförloppet var snabbt och kritiska förhållanden för utrymning infann sig inom kort tid. Det var ett fåtal besökare på leklandet och alla klarade sig oskadda. Lekland är ofta byggda i gamla industri- eller affärslokaler och innehåller ofta stora lekställningar av stålkonstruktion med stora mängder plast i rutschbanor, fallskydd och andra detaljer..Syftet med rapporten är att belysa problem som kan uppstå vid utrymning av lekland. Delar i detta består i att undersöka barns beteende vid utrymning, möjlig brand i lekland och möjligheter till dimensioneringen av lekland.I denna rapport studeras två olika lekland.

This essay aims to investigate how students raised in Jehovah's Witnesses have experienced their career counseling during their middle and high school education.
My main objectives are, based on the testimonies of former Jehovah's Witnesses, to investigate how career counselors can find a strategy to approach these students in a non-threatening way. I also try to take into account the contextual elements which are of great importance when counseling students raised as Jehovah's Witnesses.
A qualitative study has been carried out with five informants with a background in the movement. The material has then been analyzed using a qualitative, narrative method.

This paper examines a popular music song (Heartbeats by Jose Gonzalez) as a sign system in television advertising. The study was conducted through qualitative questionnaires in connection to an audio-visual method of analysis called Masking. The method facilitates the analysis of isolated parts in the audio-visual spectrum by masking/hiding parts of the audio-visual totality.The survey had seven respondents where a hermeneutic epistemological approach was used. For the analysis Cooper's theory of brand identity (Practical and Symbolic Attitudes to Buying Brands) was used together with an interaction model for music in audio-visual advertising called "Modes of music-image interaction?.
