Nackbesvär är vanligt förekommande vid datorarbete. Stående datorarbete har i visats ha en gynnsam effekt på nackbesvär. Nackflexion kan ge en ökad belastning på nacken. Syftet med studien var att jämföra flexion i nacken vid sittande och stående datorarbete för personer som utför datorarbete under en stor del av dagen i sitt ordinarie arbete.Sammanlagt tio personer, åtta kvinnor och två män, som arbetar på en företagshälsovård deltog i studien. De arbetade med datorarbete i växel, kundservice, sjukvårdsrådgivning eller sjuk och frisktjänst (en tjänst där arbetsgivare får hjälp att hantera sjuk och friskanmälningar, sammanställning av sjukskrivningsstatistik samt med rådgivning till sjukskrivna).

ABSTRACTThe aim of this essay is to analyze and discuss the razors? and tweezers? roles and dualism between them in the Nordic Bronze Age societies. This paper is an attempt to investigate what these little things can tell us about the people that were buried with them. For this purpose I have examined material of burial that consist of finds of razors respective tweezers and their connection with artefacts in the graves. I have done a comparative and contextual study together using quantitative and qualitative methods to investigate their roles and dualism.

The objective of the essay was to identify the nursing care required by a dog suffering from heat stroke and how to educate and advice the owners how to start treating their dog and prevent the condition from occurring in the first place. The essay is based on a literature study. Several databases were searched for scientific research to try find answers to the issues. Keywords concerning the subject were used and mixed in different combinations to sort out the suitable studies. The results of the study indicate that the dog should be cooled by the owner directly after detection. The most crucial issue is to reduce the body temperature as quickly as possible or the morbidity will worsen.

Människor med rygg- och nackvärk utgör en stor patientgrupp inom primärvården. Många blir inte hjälpta av de behandlingsmetoder som erbjuds. Samtidigt efterfrågas Komplementär och Alternativ Medicinska (KAM) behandlingar allt mer från allmänheten. Behovet att öka hälso- och sjukvårdens kunskap om KAM som behanlingsalternativ sågs. Studiens syfte var att beskriva människors erfarenheter i samband med rygg- och nackvärk och reflexologisk behandling.

There is currently no activity or behavior meters validated for sows under Swedish conditions where the sows are loose-housed during farrowing and nursing. An activity meter could in particular be used to detect sows that are getting ready for farrowing. Assistive technology in order to register different behaviors would be extremely useful in research and breeding. In this study, a HOBO Pendant G data logger was validated for two different functions. First, the function as a pure activity meter in which the accelerometer's ability to detect an upcoming farrowing was evaluated, and second, the accelerometer's ability to distinguish between the behaviors standing up, sitting down, lying ventrally and lying laterally on the right and left sides was evaluated. The accelerometer was attached to a collar around the sow's neck, and was recording its location every two seconds for six hours a day for ten days on a total of twelve sows.

I Sverige drabbas 1000 personer varje år av huvud- och halscancer. Rökning är den största enskilda orsaken till denna typ av cancer. Att motivera patienterna till att sluta röka är angeläget då fortsatt rökning har negativ inverkan på behandlings-resultatet samt förvärrar biverkningarna av behandlingen. Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka om patienter med huvud- och halscancer fick information om rökning och rökavvänjning inför och under strålbehandling, vad denna informa-tion innehöll samt att beskriva hur patienten upplevde informationen. Metoden var en intervjustudie som genomfördes på strålbehandlingsavdelningen, UMAS, Malmö.

Typical examples of luxury goods include cars, handbags and watches. These are consumed in the public arena where the possibility to show off the product and the brand is the greatest. When examining luxury products and what drives men and women to pay premium prices for a brand and for a logo, a fascinating finding is that there are products that fundamentally lacks these attributes, but which are considered to be classic luxury products. An example of this is perfume.

I have always lived around mines and around people work­ing with mines. They are a natural part of my life and, inev­itably, a great interest of mine. When time came to make a decision for a degree project, focusing on the mine context felt as natural as breathing.In LKABs underground mines, safety in fire accidents is a great priority. Of outmost importance for the escape is to have a personal gas filter for filtration of smoke and/or gas. My design project resulted in a concept which is aimed at shortening the user journey from the start of the accident until the user has applied the personal safety solution and is ready to escape.Throughout the project I?ve been working with a context which is heavily regulated, and all problems are serious, important ones.

Patienter som erhåller strålbehandling mot huvud- och halscancer drabbas i hög utsträckning av behandlingsrelaterade biverkningar. Oral mucosit, skada på munhålans slemhinna, är vanligt förekommande och kan påverka patientens grad av livskvalitet. Sjukvårdspersonal undersöker inte regelbundet munhålan och det kan därför dröja innan tecken på skada uppenbaras. Syftet med denna uppsats var att beskriva omvårdnadsinterventioner vid oral mucosit i samband med strålbehandling mot huvud- och halscancer. Vidare att beskriva om standardisering av omvårdnaden kan lindra behandlingsrelaterad oral mucosit.

Bakgrund: Cancer i huvud- och halsområdet är den sjätte vanligaste cancerdiagnosen i världen. Begreppet huvud- och halscancer innefattar läppcancer, cancer i näsa och bihålor, i munhåla och svalg, struphuvud, på stämbanden och i spottkörtlarna. De vanligaste behandlingsformerna är kirurgi, strålbehandling och cytostatikabehandling. Sjukdomen och behandlingen innebär ofta svåra fysiska, psykiska och sociala biverkningar för patienten. Detta ställer stora krav på sjuksköterskans kunskaper och färdigheter inom området och i omvårdnaden av dessa patienter.

Background: The most common reason for veterinary care in horses is lameness. Lameness in riding horses is often difficult to evaluate and in many cases may require riding to come to a diagnosis. Evaluation of lameness has proven to be very subjective and depends on the examiner. There is a need to evaluate ridden horses in an objective way.

The interest in horses and equestrian sport is constantly increasing, and so is the will in both riders and trainers to learn more about the effect the rider and its equipment have on the horse. The last twenty years, more and more studies have been performed were the horse and its kinematics have been in focus. The access to more advanced technology has made it possible to study areas, which earlier have been hard to reach. The knowledge about kinematics in the horse, and how riders and their equipment interact with the horse?s movement, is also of great interest to veterinarians in equine practice.

The aim of this study was to investigate the social behaviour and time budget of breedingbulls kept at VikingGenetics, Falkenberg in Sweden when the staff was off duty. It was ofinterest to see if there was any difference between bulls housed in group pens and bullshoused in individual pens. It was also of interest to investigate if there was any differencein the behaviour between the dairy breeds Swedish Red (SR) and Swedish Holstein (SH).Sixteen bulls were used in this study. Eight bulls kept in individual pens and eight bullskept in group pens were used. The individually housed bulls had a social gate with widerbars where the bulls could but their head and neck through to have social contact with thebulls in its neighbouring pens.

Root rot is a big hurter and a huge economic problem for the Swedish and European forestry. The severest hurter is Heterobasidion annosum (Fr.) Bref and it occurs as two different species in Sweden. Commonly referred to as the P-type (Heterobasidion annosum s.s. (Fr.) Bref.) and the S-type (Heterobasidion parviporum Niemelä & Korhonen). Therefore a lot of research has been carried out in this topic to find a solution and reduce this problem, one alternative that have shown to be profitable is stump treatment in thinnings.
