"Landscapes for Spontaneous Sport" The main aim with this degree thesis is to show how planning and design of urban space can promote spontaneous sport. Public health and urban life would benefit from re-introducing the sport and physical activity in the townscape. The study can be seen as an "inspiration book" that focuses on the connection between sports and landscape architecture. The starting-point for the discussion is the fact that the spontaneous sport is on the decline and the main general question is how this negative trend could be broken. In particular the study asks how landscape architecture could promote and increase spontaneous sport. Good examples of places for spontaneous sports of different kinds are given, both from Sweden and from other countries, which have inspired a case study where I propose a redesign of a centrally located, but hardly used park in Skäggetorp, a suburb of the town of Linköping. .

This essay studied how six girls experienced their reading development during their college education in male-dominated profession programs. The issues assumed were how they experience their literature reading and literature education and what happened with their interest in reading. The theoretical frame included researchers Säljö, Rosenblatt, Gun Malmgren, Olin-Scheller, Ulfgaard and Molloy.The study showed that most of the girls felt their reading had worsened but not because of their male classmates but because of school. They had a lot of homework and participated in so many different school projects which would be completed that there was no time to reading for pleasure. Denna undersöknings syfte har varit att utreda när och hur subkulturen klubbkultur växte fram i Malmö, vilka som tog den hit, vad som då definierade kulturen och hur detta skiljer sig från idag.Ytterligare syfte har varit att undersöka hur klubbkulturen som sägs genomsyras av en universal jämlikhet, på olika sätt, såväl inkluderat som exkluderat människor från att delta i den. Genom kvalitativa intervjuer med sju aktörer aktiva inom klubbkulturen under det sena åttiotalet och tidiga nittiotalet, men också genom min egen bakgrund som besökare, arrangör och DJ, målar detta arbete med hjälp av muntlig historia, ett kulturanalytiskt perspektiv och med Sarah Thorntons teorier om klubbkultur och subkulturellt kapital upp historien av hur Malmös klubbkultur växt fram samt de viktiga faktorer som definierade den och på vilka sätt kulturen både exkluderade och inkluderade. Resultatet berättar en historia om en ny upprorisk motkultur som under det tidiga nittiotalet utvecklades från att ha varit en brett inkluderande, men samtidigt en underjordisk gör-det-själv-kultur, till att bland annat genom tyst exkludering i form av nischade smakgemenskaper och konsumtionssymboler, utvecklas till en uppdelad kultur som inte bara positionerade sig mot det så kallade mainstreamsamhället utan även mot andra klubbkulturer..

In this master thesis I investigate different views on literary quality in two quite different library journals; Biblioteksbladet and Bibliotek i Samhälle. One aim of the study is to see whether the ambiguity of the term literary quality is considered. Since there is no universally accepted definition of literary quality to be found the analysis is inspired by discourse analysis. This theoretical frame work starts off in the assumption that our views of the world are much dependent the way we describe it. The work of Finnish scholar Sanna Talja is presented and the results of this thesis are compared with the three perspectives on music culture that are presented in her book.

In the global and rapidly changing society Environmental scanning is becoming a more and more important tool. Today it is not the availability of information that controls an organizations behavior, but the information that the organization chooses to absorb. This is the case for a multinational cooperation as well as for the local golf club. Swedish golf clubs have during the last 100 years had an amazing development and today there are almost 600 000 registered Swedish golf players. The development has however stopped and even declined some during the last couple of years.

Syftet med studien är att beskriva vad som motiverar individer till att gå ner i vikt, och vilken upplevelse deltagarna menar att Family Sports Clubs viktminskningskurs har på motivationen. Många människor har en önskan om att gå ner i vikt, men många upplever svårigheter med att lyckas. Av den orsaken är förståelsen av motivation, och hur den påverkar en individ ett intressant ämne. Studien omfattar fyra deltagare mellan 46-54 år, tre kvinnor och en man. Viktminskningskursen anordnades hösten 2013 på Family Sports Club i Oslo.

The aim of this study is to examine whether the two factors SMB and HML in the Fama-French Three Factor Model proxy for default risk. The study is based on companies noted on the Stockholm Stock Exchange between 2003 and 2008. These companies are used to create the factors SMB and HML, as well as a default risk factor we call RMS. In a first set of regressions, we examine the explanatory power of the original Fama-French model on a set of portfolios consisting of Swedish companies of different size and book-to-market ratio. The default risk factor RMS is then added to the original Fama-French model.

Syfte: Syftet med studien var att kartlägga och beskriva tillgängligheten på gym för rullstolsburna personer.Undersökningsmetod: Studien var en deskriptiv observationsstudie. Undersökningen var en tvärsnittsstudie, då mätningar gjordes vid ett tillfälle. Datainsamlingen utfördes genom strukturerade observationer av olika bedömningsområden, t.ex. närliggande utomhusmiljö, entré, träningslokal, omklädningsrum m.m. med hjälp av en egen utarbetad checklista.Resultat: Resultatet visade att hinder i tillgänglighet i huvudsak inte fanns i den närliggande utomhusmiljön runt gymmet.

Tidigare forskning har funnit delvis motstridiga resultat för hur företagsledningens och styrelsens egenskaper påverkar bolagets värde. Enligt vår vetskap har inga studier genomförts på svenska data. Syftet med denna uppsats har varit att klargöra om det finns något samband mellan ett företags värde (mätt som market-to-book) och ett antal demografiska faktorer hos företagets ledning och styrelse. Detta har testats med hjälp av årsredovisningar och finansiella data för börsnoterade bolag under perioden 2010-2012. Genom multipla regressionsanalyser har vi bland annat funnit att styrelsens storlek har en positiv effekt på bolagets värde och att andelen kvinnor i styrelsen påverkar värdet positivt.

AimThe aim of this study was to map the injury panorama of traumatic injuries related to ice hockey in Sweden 2006-2011. In addition to that the aim was to compare whether there were any gender differences regarding traumatic ice hockey injuries. MethodThe present study was based on data from the Folksam insurance company between 2006 and 2011. The population consisted of ice hockey players in a club affiliated to the Swedish Ice Hockey Federation and that had sustained a traumatic injury related to ice hockey that resulted in medical care and then was reported to Folksam. The results are presented with descriptive statistics such as mean and standard deviation, median range and frequencies. ResultsThe head was the most common injury localization followed by the upper extremity where the shoulder accounted for a high number of injuries. Fracture was the most common type of injury for both male and female players.

Mäns fåtalighet i förskolevärlden formuleras som ett problem utifrån olika diskurser. Manliga förskolepedagoger framställs på olika sätt att inneha särskilda betydelser, betydelser som skapar vissa förhållningssätt. I detta arbete betraktas massmedia som en viktig aktör i att sprida generella framställningar och förhållningssätt. Syftet med studien är att med en diskursanalytisk metod, förstå hur media förmedlar betydelser av manliga förskolepedagoger. Det finns forskning om män i förskolan och diskursanalytisk forskning på media ur genusperspektiv, men det saknas forskning på medias framställningar av manliga förskollärare i Sverige.
