The Pedagogical progression within MSI ? Based upon The Bologna Process and UPC.In a near future several of the European countries will begin working after new guidelines concerning a declaration called the Bologna process. Everything will be done one step at a time and the declaration will change the way the students are being graded, all this for the sake of making the European labour-market moreopened for all of its millions of students.In Växjö this process is in the making, but to adapt to the future demands the school must also change its ways of teaching.To increase its quality the University has put together a procedure of actions to improve the pedagogical working method in all its institutions. In this essay we would like to elucidate how the work with the Bologna process is proceeding within the institution of Mathematics and System Engineering and whatthey do improve their pedagogical teaching. The aim of this study was to compare educational systems in Sweden, Czech Republic, Italy and Scotland. In the light of the Bologna Declaration signed in 1999, I was particularly interested in comparing social work educations in these four countries. Especially to clarify how far they have come to fulfill the goals of the common European educational policy.Central questions asked were: How do the educational systems look like in each of the four countries? How are the social work educations organized in each of them? In what ways do the social work educations differ? How can we explain such differences?Each country in this study represents a different welfare regime, and therefore I was challenged to find out if this has an impact on the implementation of the incentives of the Bologna Declaration. By studying various documents from the European Union, documents from each country and presentations of various social work programmes, I have come to the conclusion that the differences found mainly depends on the historical and socioeconomic traditions in the countries.

Avsikten med vår studie är att skapa djupare förståelse för de historiska tornen i Bologna samt diskutera frågan om typologi som designmetod. Genom vårt historiska researcharbete besvarar vi frågor om varför tornen byggdes och varför de revs, hur de såg ut samt hur många de var. I diskussionen belyser vi frågan om torn som symbol och landmärke samt torns värde för stadsbilden som helhet under historiens gång. Projektet undersöker även torn som artefakt, där vi ser typologi som en metod för design.

Det pedagogiska arbetet inom MSI ? Utifrån Bolognaprocessen och UPC.Inom en snar framtid kommer flertalet länder i Europa jobba efter nya riktlinjer enligt en deklaration kallad Bolognaprocessen. Det hela kommer att ske i etapper och innebär att sättet på vilket studenter bedöms kommer ändras, allt för att göra Europas arbetsmarknad öppnare för alla dess miljoner studerande.I Växjö pågår detta arbete för fullt, men för att anpassa sig till framtida krav måste skolan även förändra sin utbildningsform. För att höja sin kvalité har universitetet tagit fram en handlingsplan för att förbättra de pedagogiska arbetsmetoderna i alla institutioner. I den här uppsatsen vill vi belysa hur arbetet med Bolognaprocessen fortgår inom Matematiska och systemtekniska institutionen och vad de gör för att förbättra denpedagogiska undervisningen.

Bolognaprocessen är en förändringsprocess som syftar till att skapa ett gemensamt europeiskt område för högre utbildning (EHEA). Målsättningen formulerades ursprungligen i Bolognadeklarationen 1999 och avser ett Europa där studenter, forskare och lärare enkelt kan röra sig över nationsgränserna. Detta ska uppnås genom förbättrad jämförbarhet och ökad överensstämmelse mellan ländernas utbildningssystem. I Sverige pågår just nu implementeringen av Bolognaprocessen.Genom teorier om policyprocesser och europeisering kan Bolognadeklarationens målformuleringar sägas ge vissa förutsättningar för implementeringen i de deltagande länderna. Att målen är öppet formulerade, att de söker vinna legitimitet samt att de varierar i tydlighet är de sätt på vilket dessa förutsättningar främst lämnas.

In this Master thesis interest is directed towards approaches toinformation literacy (IL) and critical thinking in the educationalactivities of university libraries. The aspiration of universitylibrarians to promote the critical abilities of students isproblematized. At the center of attention is the project?Lärandemål för informationskompetens? [Learning outcomes forinformation literacy], which in 2006 was carried out incollaboration between the Swedish university libraries, in responseto the educational reforms connected to the Bologna Process.Through the discourse analytical framework of NormanFairclough, documents related to the project ?Lärandemål förinformationskompetens? are studied in order to identifydominating approaches to IL. The purpose is to investigate anddiscuss the possible implications of the dominating perspectives,with regard to the development of critical thinking amongstudents.The study results in the identification of two main discourses, thestandardization discourse and the discourse on employability.

Intresset för den mänskliga utvecklingen och gränsövergripande samarbeten har mer eller mindre, funnits genom alla epoker i vår historia. Det har nu tagit en ny vändning i och med Bolognaprocessen. Dess övergripande syfte är att stärka Europa ? som utbildningskontinent ? men även att öka mobiliteten och underlätta för lärare och studenter.Vårt arbete inriktar sig på lärare vid Högskolan i Halmstad och deras uppfattningar av processen samt hur den har anammats av lärarna. Vi ger en bakgrund till Bolognaprocessen och de mål Regeringen satt upp i Ny värld ? ny högskola (2004/05:162).
