The aim of the present thesis is to find deeper knowledge about women?s experiences of sexuality, desire and pleasure during childbirth. In this thesis there are statements of women?s different kinds of pleasurable and sexual feelings and experiences during birth. Furthermore, factors that may influence some women?s feelings and experiences of a sexual kind are discussed in relation to the common notion that women above all feel fear and pain when giving birth.

In 2003 the recommended phosphorus allowance for dairy cows in Sweden was lowered approximately 10 %. For a cow at a production level of 35 kg ECM it decreased from 0,40 to 0,36 % of dry matter. To investigate if the decrease has been implemented at farm level, analysis of following minerals; P, Ca, Mg, K, Na, S, Se, Cu, Mn and Zn was performed on the TMR at 20 farms in Sweden in the summer of 2004. The purpose was to describe the actual allowance of different minerals as compared to the new recommendations. One hypothesis was that the decrease in recommended allowance of phosphorus would lead to the need of new mineral feeds on the market.

Tobii Technology AB is a global leading company in eye tracking. The technology is a part of acomputer screen called an eye tracker. It enables computers to follow eye movement whichfurther make it possible to control the computer by only using your eyes.The mission was to develop an arcade game for eye controlled games that Tobii can use in theirmarketing or as a tool when doing researches about the interest in the technology amongst gamecompanies. The product realization involved designing an innovative, functional and futuristiccase which gathered the existing hardware and software to build the final prototype. In order toattract users it was important to focus on the visual expressions.Initially, the project started off with an information retrieval which contained interviews, fieldstudies, tests and literature studies.

Bakgrund: Prostatacancer är den vanligaste cancerformen bland män i västvärlden. Sjuksköterskan har till uppgift att stötta, vägleda, samt säkerställa att given information uppfattats korrekt, för att män med prostatacancer skall kunna fatta rationella beslut rörande eventuell behandling. Tidigare forskning visar att maskulinitet är ett komplext begrepp som kan ses ur olika vinklar och perspektiv. Upplevelsen av manlighet är en viktig komponent att ta hänsyn till i vården av patienter med prostatacancer.Syfte: Att beskriva hur män med prostatacancer upplever att sjukdomen och behandlingen påverkar deras kropp och manliga identitet.Metod: Denna litteraturöversikt baserades på elva kvalitativa vetenskapliga artiklar som har granskats och analyserats. De vetenskapliga artiklarna hämtades från databaserna Cinahl with fulltext, och PubMed.Resultat: Resultatet bildar fem huvudteman: Behandlingens påverkan på mäns upplevelse av manlighet beskriver behandlingarnas biverkningar såsom impotens, förlust av libido och sexuella fantasier, mäns feminiserade kropp, samt hur dessa förändrade kroppsegenskapernas påverkade den manliga identiteten.

Abstract Cavities used to be a very common problem but over time humans have learned to take care of their teeth. However, there are still many who have problems. This problem is due to microorganisms and in particular the various streptococci and lactobacilli producing acids which loosens up the enamel on teeth. These bacteria can be found at various places in the mouth and saliva. Besides being a discomfort it can be a major problems and the damaged tooth needs to be removed or make a dental filling. The aim of the study was to see how intake of probiotic tablets containing Lactobacillus reuteri PTA ATCC 5289 and Lactobacillus reuteri DSM 17938 affects the levels of oral Streptococcus mutans and lactobacilli over a three-week period.

Uppsatsen består av nio flickors berättelser om hur det är att vara flicka idag. Flickorna ingår i ett pågående transnationellt EU-projekt om flickors särskilda utsatthet på grund av särskolediagnos. Fyra av flickorna har etniskt svenskt ursprung och fem av flickorna har annat etniskt ursprung. Flickorna är mellan 18-20 år gamla och det som flickorna har gemensamt är att de är intellektuellt funktionshindrade.Frågor som besvaras i studien är dels vad flickorna anser att det innebär att vara en normal flicka när det gäller kropp, själ, sexualitet och sätt att vara på. Dels hur flickorna konstruerar femininitet och normalitet i relation till kön, etnicitet, utsatthet och intellektuellt funktionshinder.

Syfte och frågeställningarSyftet med studien var att undersöka om Body Mass Index (BMI), metabola tillstånd, fysisk aktivitet och intag av energitäta livsmedel skiljer sig mellan individer med mycket stillasittande tid respektive individer som tillbringar mindre tid stillasittande. För att besvara syftet ställs följande frågeställningar:Skiljer sig de metabola variablerna BMI, blodtryck, blodfetter och blodsocker hos individer som tillbringar mycket tid stillasittande jämfört med individer som tillbringar mindre tid stillasittande?Skiljer sig intag av energitäta livsmedel så som chips, jordnötter, tårtor, wienerbröd, choklad och glass hos individer som tillbringar mycket tid stillasittande jämfört med individer som tillbringar mindre tid stillasittande?Hur påverkar fysisk aktivitet och stillasittande risken för övervikt när hänsyn har tagits till confoundrar (så som, kön, ålder, utbildningsnivå och intag av energitäta livsmedel)? MetodData har hämtats från studien LIV 2000 där syftet var att samla information om motionsvanor, fysisk prestationsförmåga och levnadsvanor bland svenska kvinnor och män i åldrarna 20-65 år. En kvantitativ arbetsmetod har använts genom enkäter och fysiologiska tester som sedan har bearbetats genom statistikprogrammet SPSS för att sammanställa resultatet. Studien baserades på totalt 1067 personer, varav 603 personer valde att endast svara på enkäten och 464 personer genomgick både de fysiologiska testerna samt svarade på enkäten. ResultatResultatet visade att den enda signifikanta skillnaden mellan stillasittande och aktiva individer av de metabola variablerna var BMI som var högre hos de stillasittande.

The purposes of this study were to estimate genetic and phenotypic parameters for conformation traits in Swedish Ardenner, a heavy draught horse, and to investigate the inbreeding status of the population. Additionally, a breeding scheme proposal was created, based on the results achieved in the study. The data studied were obtained from the Swedish Horse Board and from the Swedish Ardenner Association. The data included 1632 three-year-old horses, mainly mares, and 356 stallions, judged between 1986 and 2005 at conformation shows. The traits studied were type, head-neck-Body, legs, walk and trot at hand, total score and height at withers.

Cellulose nanocrystals (CNC) are great candidates for composite materials. The reasons why CNCs are such attractive materials for them are due to their great mechanical properties, high aspect ratio and low density. On the other hand, hydroxyapatite (HAp) is a kind of calcium phosphate and a main component of bones and teeth. The purpose of the present study is to make oriented nano-sized composites with CNC and HAp. Although some researchers carried out to make CNC composites with HAp for biomedical materials, nano-sized and oriented ones haven?t been achieved yet.

Skådespelaryrket kräver mycket av en människa både intellektuellt, färdighetsmässigt och fysiskt. Det förväntas också ofta av en skådespelare att vara musikalisk. Musikalitet kan yttra sig på olika sätt. I skådespelarsammanhang vill jag påstå att musikalitet kan finnas i allt från texthantering till hur man rör sin kropp. Jag är rytmikpedagog, men har också arbetat som skådespelare.

SummaryThe purpose of this thesis is to examine what effect the IFRS 2 has on earnings, equity, financial strength and return on equity for listed Swedish companies with active stock option plans. The purpose is further to investigate the companies? attitudes towards IFRS 2 and to find out if companies tend to deviate from stock option plans due to the changed accounting rules. We also want to examine the view of IFRS 2 from an auditor?s perspective.We have used a deductive approach and a mix of quantitative and qualitative research methods with a view to get a completely clear picture within the field of study.

The aim of this study was to compare activity, lying down and getting up behaviour, weight gain and cleanliness in heifers in cubicles versus on deep-litter. The study was conducted from autumn of 2005 until autumn of 2006 in a commercial organic dairy herd with 340 cows. In 2005 the farm rebuilt half of the young stock accommodation from deep-litter pens to cubicles. The experiment used 150 heifers of the breeds Swedish Red, Swedish Holstein and crossbreeds between these, all born on the farm. The animals were divided into three blocks based on breed and within each block they were sorted after increasing age. The youngest heifer in each block was randomly allocated to one of two groups, cubicle or deep-litter pen.

Pulp- and papermills expend vast amounts of water in order to produce pulp, paper and cardboard. Hence, they alsocreate vast amounts of waste water which has to be cleaned before it can be released into the receiving Body of water. Insuch a wastewater treatment plant, tremendous amounts of energy are expended by the aeration in the biologicalcleaning process. This aeration is necessary to supply the microorganisms that shall decompose organic material withoxygen, which they need for their metabolism. The transfer of oxygen from the gas phase to the liquid phase isprimarily inhibited by surface-active substances in the waste water like resin acids or fatty acids.

Urban farming can be viewed in several contexts. The first part of this work brings up the beneficial effects of farming on our physical and mental health, knowledge as well as on social life in cities. The introduction of gardening in schools can contribute to an increased awareness on both agricultural practices and importance as well as ecological processes. It can also be used in teaching of other subjects. Farming can also contribute to improving the household economy, and the economy on a municipal or national level.

This study investigates the judicial process against Erik Molin, a clerk and former theology student at the University of Uppsala 1734-1739. The main purpose has been twofold; first to investigate the legal process through the various judicial bodies and secondly to analyze the ideas and conceptions about man and society expressed by the authorities and Erik Molin. The theoretical approach has been inspired by the German philosopher Jürgen Habermas? theories concerning the emergence of the bourgeois society and the changing concepts of private and public spheres. The study shows that the diocese of Uppsala regarded Molin's theology as heretic and found that he knowingly had tried to spread his views.
