Syftet med arbetet har varit att undersöka varför en så udda teknik som skånsk knyppling fortfarande utövas. Efter en historisk tillbakablick har en rad intervjuer gett svar på vilka som idag knypplar, vilken åldersgrupp det är, varför man börjar knyppla, varför man fortsätter och vilken tillfredsställelse knypplingen ger. Förutsättningar som behandlas är knypplingens status, dess nätverk samt Hemslöjdens och museernas betydelse.En viktig del behandlar hur lärandet går till när denna kunskap överförs. Det gäller både den tysta kunskap som sitter i kroppen men också det logiska tänkande som krävs för att förstå hur en spets är uppbyggd. Utövare har upptäckt att tekniken ställer höga krav på både kroppen och intellektet..

Uppsatsen behandlar hur man som psykoterapeut praktiskt kan använda sig av kroppen i terapirummet, som ett komplement till det språkliga i det terapeutiska arbetet. Syftet med studien är att ta reda på hur psykodynamiska psykoterapeuter som också är sjukgymnaster använder sig av sin yrkesbakgrund i terapisituationen. Den använda metoden är kvalitativ.  Fyra legitimerade psykoterapeuter med bakgrund som sjukgymnaster intervjuades och resultatet visar: De upplever kroppen som en tillgång. Den skapar möjligheter till kontakt med känslor som tidigare har varit svåra att både känna och verbalisera. Genom att jobba med kroppen skapas en här- och nu-upplevelse som man kan utforska och reflektera över.

The aim of this report is to give a picture of how attitudes and behaviours of owners of environment cars look like and how they can be influenced. The alignment lies on environmental cars which run on biogas and ethanol which both are renewable fuels. The starting point is to sort out if it is environmental thinking that controls the choice and use of an environmental car. The feeling is that there are many other factors that can be more controlling, for example the price and the quality of the car. The result of the questionnaire survey which is the foundation of the report shows however that those who buy an environmental car do it mostly because of environmental reasons.

Fusarium graminearum is one of the most important pathogens on cereals and causes major crop losses around the world. The most cultivated cereal in Sweden is winter wheat. F. graminearum produces both sexual and asexual spores for dispersal. Multiple factors affect the production of these spores.

Bakgrund: Utvecklingsländernas obligationsmarknad har under de senaste fem åren genererat en avkastning i nivå med aktier. Detta faktum kombinerat bristen på tidigare forskning inom detta område har gjort det intressant att undersöka utvecklingsländernas obligationsmarknad närmare. Syfte: Syftet är att analysera effektiviteten på utvecklingsländernas obligationsmarknad. Genomförande: Med hjälp av informationskvoten och Treynorkvoten undersöks om någon av de tre fonderna i urvalet genererat systematisk överavkastning jämfört med marknadsindexet JP Morgan Emerging Market Constrained Index. Ett signifikanstest på 5 % görs för att utreda om avkastningen är skild från 0.

För att kunna erbjuda god och lättillgänglig hälso- och sjukvård vid stora olyckor och katastrofer krävs en katastrofberedskap grundad på planläggning, utbildning och övning. Sjukvårdens särskilda beredskap måste kunna hantera såväl den "lilla vardagsolyckan" som den stora olyckan eller katastrofen. Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka hur enhetschefer och distriktssköterskor vid primärvården i två kommuner i Jämtlands län upplevde sig förberedda inför en katastrof eller en stor olycka där utryckning krävdes utanför vårdinrättningar till olycksplats. Syftet var även att undersöka hur katastrofberedskap prioriteras av enhetschefer. En intervjustudie har genomförts med tre enhetschefer och fem distriktssköterskor.

The aim of this thesis is to examine representations of masculinity in the activities of a local professional wrestling promotion. After briefly outlining what professional wrestling is, the study draws on a body on feminist and intersectional theory which critiques the notion of gender as a binary and essential category. The material comprises 10 recorded shows and oth- er material published on Sthlm Wrestling?s website between 2010 and 2013, and is analyzed using a qualitative methodology derived from cultural studies. The thesis argues that there are many different types of masculinities in the narrative, which are constructed in relation to different power hierarchies such as ethnicity, class, sex and sexuality.

In 1974 the three municipalities of Åsele, Dorotea and Fredrika were amalgamated despite of hunger strikes, mass protests and a serious threat of violence. But after six years the marriage shattered as Dorotea left the other two after years of continued struggle. In 2005 the idea of an amalgamation of Åsele, Dorotea and Vilhelmina municipalities was brought to life by an older and ever declining population.By creating a democratic ideal type consisting of the three variables ? legitimacy, participation and identity ? this study assesses what impact an amalgamation of the three municipalities might have on local democracy.Combining a qualitative and a quantitative approach this study concludes that amalgamating the municipalities today could create a democratic unit lacking legitimacy, having a weak identity and impeding participation. But the study also brings forth that the impact of an amalgamation upon the variables of the ideal type as defined is not written in stone.

The purpose of this study was to describe how adolescents aged 12-18 years with inflammatory bowel disease experience their illness and what coping strategies they use to manage their illness and improve their wellbeing. The method used was a descriptive literature study, and the result of the study included 15 scientific articles. Our results showed that IBD affected the adolescent?s everyday life and social life with friends, family and activities. The adolescents also reported that they experienced a feeling of vulnerability, altered body image and that they saw themselves as different from healthy subjects.

This thesis aim to shed a light on how to communicate the individual and subjective feeling of safety in the arena of public events such as music- and cultural festivals with the safety-project on Peace & Love festival in Borlänge, Sweden as a practical example. Earlier research has mainly been focusing on the objective side of safety on these kind of events. Peace & Love decided to put a larger focus on the safety for the festival in 2012, and Trygghetsprojektet was started. By looking at how the project is formed this study wants to show how organisations can communicate a feeling of being safe to the audience to enable them to fully enjoy an event.The main questions asked in this study is: How can a feeling of being safe be communicated to a large number of people by focused acts of communication at a festival? How does the head of safety and the safety coordinator work with communicating a feeling of being safe to the audience? How does these communication acts relate to earlier research on mass communication? The results shows that communication within the organisation and with its partners is of great importance for the outcomes of the project and that communication of the feeling of being safe is much greater then the hands-on communication of words.

Idenna studie har vi undersökt hur massmedier presenterat våldshandlingar övertid. Det som vi undersökt är om det finns urskiljbara faser i massmedialapresentationer av våldshandlingar. Vi har utgått från fallet Breivik och Norgeattentatet2011, som vi menar är ett mediebelyst fall som kan kasta ljus över andravåldshandlingar. Vi har använt oss av Grundad Teori som kvalitativ metod och analyseratsammanlagt 80 stycken tidningsartiklar hämtade från Aftonbladet, Expressen,Dagens Nyheter och Svenska Dagbladet. Resultatet visar att det finns urskiljbarafaser och dessa faser har vi benämnt som:Det ofattbara, Kollektiv bearbetningfrån det ofattbara, Det ofattbarapolitiseras och Det ofattbara blir enreferens.

Establishing a reference interval for plasma fibrinogen in foals Fibrinogen concentrations were analysed in EDTA preserved blood plasma samples from 34 thoroughbred foals born in 2001 and 2002 at one stud farm. The foals were between 0 and 240 days old at the time of the sampling, and there were 19 fillies and 12 stallions in the group. The foals were examined for clinical symptoms of disease and their body temperature was measured before blood was sampled from the jugular vein. From totally 156 blood samples, 31 were selected as originating from clinically healthy foals, and used to determine a reference range for thoroughbred foals. Samples originating from foals showing clinical symptoms of disease or an abnormal body temperature at the time of sampling, were classified as coming from unhealthy animals.

As a guitarbuilder it is an advantage if you can control and understand what is creating the character of the tone. To approach this vast jungle of variables that controls the tone in a guitar, I built two guitars and in one, guitar 2, reduced the thickness of soundboard, back and sides.The purpose was to compare the guitars and establish if there was a significant difference and what it was, in the guitars ability to produce sound. The thought was also to try the thesis: loud but short, long but moderate tone. Also if a lighter built guitar has an advantage in producing a loud but short ton and vice versa.The instruments has been examined by five guitarist, one guitarbuilder and a professor in Speech, music and hearing at KTH in Stockholm.The relative obvious conclusion is that guitar 2 is a bit louder and has a clearer base and treble but the more part of the guitarists fancied guitar 1 better. This one has got more mass fore the tone to stay alive with.

Ett flertal vanliga orsaker till hälsostörningar hos häst (t.ex. fång och reproduktionsstörningar) kan förebyggas genom att hästen hålls i ett lagom hull, varken för tjock eller för smal. Många hästägare har, ofta på grund av bristande kunskap, svårt att korrekt kunna bedöma sina hästars hull. Syftet med detta arbete är därför att dels beskriva och jämföra några vanliga metoder för hullbedömning, dels att försöka dra slutsatser kring hur användbara dessa metoder är för den enskilde hästägaren, eftersom det ju är denne som har ansvaret för hästens dagliga skötsel och välmående.Hullbedömning (Body Condition Score) innebär att man genom palpation av olika kroppsområden där hästar normalt lagrar fett skapar sig en uppfattning om hur stora depåer av underhudsfett hästen har. Varje område får en hullpoäng utifrån hur fettfyllt det är, och från dessa delpoäng beräknas hästens totala hullpoäng.

Sweden is the country that has got the largest amount of elderly in the adult population in the world. The physical activity level decreases as we grow old and we experience muscle mass loss and a bone density reduction. This leads to an increased risk for falls and subsequent fractures. The purpose of this study was to investigate whether an exercise program could affect muscle function and balance ability to prevent falls. 17 women (age 64-79) participated in this study and was assigned to a control group (n=7) and an intervention group (n=10).
