Påståendet om att ju längre ett förhållande fortgår, desto bättre lär individerna i relationen känna varandra, är ett logiskt antagande. Forskning visar att vissa personlighetsegenskaper är mer önskvärda än andra hos en potentiell partner och att dessa egenskaper och attribut skiljer sig beroende på om ett par känt varandra lång eller kort tid. En enkätstudie genomfördes bland trettiotre par. Deltagarna uppmanades att skatta självbild, jagideal, partnerbild samt partnerideal genom att rangordna 15 personlighetsegenskaper. Resultatet visade att individer tenderar att känna sin partner sämre i förhållanden som varat i fem till nio år i jämförelse med par som varit tillsammans kortare eller längre.

 BakgrundAnorexia nervosa drabbar framför allt unga kvinnor i västerländska länder. Personer med AN har ett liv som kretsar kring mat, motion och viktnedgång. AN delas in i två sjukdomsbilder, AN med självrensning och AN utan självrensning. Sjukdomen kan leda till fysiska, psykiska och sociala konsekvenser. En störd kroppsuppfattning är ett av huvudsymptomen för sjukdomen och påverkar personens livskvalitet och självkänsla.

Social media has changed the way that corporations can communicate with their target groups. Instead of using one?way communications that has been significant for traditional massmarketing, social media has given corporations the possibility to truly interact with their clients and through the interaction build strong relationships. The interaction is an ideal process for corporations to create brand associations and strengthen their brand equity to position their brands in the minds of the consumers. But social media is also a devious medium because everyone are invited to contribute their opinion and news travel fast in social atmosphere, success and crisis can appear fast and out ofnowhere.

This thesis discusses the representation of bodies in todays non-fiction television in Sweden. I have chosen to focus on deviant bodies (sexual, deformed or unhealthy) on display in reality-shows and documentaries on SVT, TV4 but especially on the commercial channels TV3 and Kanal5. Also discussed are the viewers emotional and bodily reactions. Altough these shows are different from one another in many respects, I argue that there is also a common thread between them. From a sociological and cultural perspective, and with help of some historical examples, I try to illustrate how we view these shows and what their function is.

This essay investigates the statements of Växjö municipality?s motives for some of its many environmental projects. The aim of the essay is to be theory-testing as to see how a municipality/city which promotes itself as being ?green? motivates its efforts in the environmental area. Växjö city promotes itself as ?The greenest city in Europe?, an award appointed to the city by BBC and other international media.

The first main purpose of this essay is to describe the situation of young women today here in this part of the world concerning influences from commercial media.The second purpose with this essay is to investigate if dance could be used as a tool against all these sterotyped and superficial pictures and ideals in the industy of commersial media.With some questions I also want to get closer to the answer if dancing is a way for young women to get insight knowledge. I also describe women from dance history who experienced that dance filled them up with energy but also environment where there was oppression.This essay has a gender perspective.The methods are manly based on literature studies but information is also gathered from the Internet and from one film.My results are that dance is a very constructive way to give the young woman that force which is needed when meeting media pictures everywhere. It gives her self-confidence, body awareness, joy and strength in life..

En traditionell uppfattning som den humanistiska tolkningen tog över från tidigare tolkningar var att Utopia är att betrakta som Mores egen idealstat, något som innebar att den ursprungliga frågeställningen främst gällde vilken sorts ideal denne strävat efter att beskriva. Som vi senare kommer att se så tycks det dock som att denna bild gradvis har framstått som alltmer problematisk när man väl börjat analysera Utopia som ett verk författat inom en viss historisk och kulturell kontext, varför man började anpassa den för att överensstämma med en ökad kunskap om More och hans samtid. Från att ursprungligen ha betraktas som relativt självklar har således bilden av Utopia som en utopi under 1900-talet kommit att bli föremål för debatt, såväl när det gäller vilken sorts ideal More ville förmedla, i vilken grad han avsåg att göra detta, och till slut också huruvida detta alls var hans avsikt.Ett övergripande syfte med denna uppsats är att studera denna utveckling för att undersöka hur och varför bilden av Utopia som en entydig skildring av ett idealsamhälle kom att förändras när verket studerades under den humanistiska tolkningens premisser. För att klargöra detta förhållande lyfts ett antal läsningar av Utopia inom den humanistiska tolkningen fram för att analyseras. Styrande frågeställningar blir här hur man inom dessa väljer att framställa Mores verk, vilka argument man använder sig av för att befästa denna tolkning och eventuella bakomliggande motiv för dessa, hur man förhåller sig till de problem som uppstår när den traditionella bilden av Utopia möter den humanistiska tolkningens perspektiv, samt hur de olika tolkningarna förhåller sig till varandra.

The purpose of this BA-study is to analyse articles about blood selling and blood donations in the Chinese daily newspaper People?s Daily between 1985 and 1998.With publications of popular scientific material, reports from rallies and portraits of blood donating ?heroes? etc., the People?s Daily, i.e. the Chinese Com­mu­nist Party, actively addresses the underlying cultural reluctance to give blood by different means. People?s Daily and the CCP resolutely aims to transform negative Confucian and other traditional notions of losing blood into represen­tations of courage, honour, duty, etc.

Abstract: When playing in teams, communication is important, not just communication with words but also non-verbal communication such as gestures and body languish. The purpose with this study is to see how there is a co-op among communicating players , between leaders and players and to examine what meaning communication and culture got  in a youth team. The ambition with this study was to increase our knowledge about communication and communicationculture in the youth floorball team. This study is qualitative and was inspired by an ethnographical method so we got the information from observations of a youth floorball team, totally we made four observations. The result were analyzed and categorized from our observation papers.

The purpose of this literature review was to find common factors for the persons who predispose to eating disorders. These factors shall help the nurse to recognise early signs of eating disorder behaviors. The literature review is directed to the nurse and will answer the issue: Which groups in the community run the risk of developing eating disorders? Furthermore, this knowledge shall lead to a better understanding of persons having eating disorders and be used as an aid in his/her encounter with these patients. The method was a literature review based on eight scientific articles, which were interpreted on the basis of the competence of the nurse.

This thesis deals with the concepts of individual and individuation as defined by Leibniz and Spinoza. I go through the use and definition of the concept of individual in four stages.First I discuss the individual as conceived by Spinoza as a relation formed by a composition of parts and the individual as conceived by Leibniz as a complete notion consisting of all the events in the life of a subject.Next is the roll of perception in Leibniz discussed, likewise individuation through different perception with varying distinctness, and the affinity of perception with affection.The discussions concerning the individual concludes in a section about the essence of the individual as being the desire of the individual. We live in an exciting society, characterized by continuous changes and challenges. The effects of the globalization are widespread. The continuous flow of people, capital and goods follows in the wake of advances in communications, transport and information technology, resulting in a changed situation for different stakeholders in the society. This situation leads to increased cooperation and exchange, but also increased competition. The primary means of collecting empirical data for this study was interviews and a document study.

Abstract 1.The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects whole body vibrations on maximal strength, power output and neuromuscular activity in m. pectoralis major during bench press.Participants consisted of 35 male and 9 female military high school students (m=23, 1 years). On the basis of initial maximal performances in bench press the participants was divided into two experiments groups and one control group. Intervention groups performed a specifically designed push up program on a vibrating plate respectively a step board during 12 weeks Initial load at 60 % of 1 RM showed an average of 46, 5 kg. All groups showed an average increase of 13 kg for each person after 12 weeks.

The aim of the study was to through a qualitative method with two focus groups investigate how young women percieve that their identity creation is influenced by them reading celebrities Blogs and in that case, whether this type of Internet activity affect their autobiographical memory, the foundation for personal identity. Since the main task of the autobiographical memory is to give the ego and its social mode a foundation by sharing memories with others, the Internet activity should be seen as an important factor for the identity formation of young people. Today, the young spend equally mauch time being connected to various media as they do socializing with family and friends. The results indicate that young women view the world and lifestyle that known Bloggers expose intheir Blogs as a kind of ideal. A philanthropist needs long arms- An investigation on how to illustrate difficult wordsThe feeling of not understanding all the words that I read made me initiate the project of investigating the capacity of drawn images to increase the understanding of difficult words. I?ve been working with my own personal understanding and skills in illustration.My aim was to reflect on the function, composition and manner of my illustrations. I wanted the images to be clear enough to explain and function as a help for memorizing the words but also open enough to give them a new dimension. One of my conclutions is that my way of changing the original shape of a body in my drawings, by giving it new functions such as longer arms, helps me to explain the words clearer and deeper.
