SyfteSyftet med denna studie var att undersöka sensitiviteten och specificiteten hos BMI vid klassificering av övervikt, samt att jämföra gränsvärdena för övervikt mätt med BMI med gränsvärdena för övervikt mätt i fettprocent med BodPod.MetodUrvalet i studien bestod av 359 deltagare mellan 30-50 år (medelvärde ? 39,7 år). Av dessa 359 var 192 kvinnor och 167 män. Deltagarna var indelade i fyra aktivitetsnivåer ? stillasittande, lågaktiva, aktiva och mycket aktiva.

The purpose of this investigation was to find out more about students? spontaneous ideas about properties and transformations of matter. Examples of matter chosen are such which students know about from everyday life and focus is mainly on the questions if students know that all matter has weight and that matter is preserved in transformations.The method used is semi structured qualitative interviews with individual students. Different experiments were carried out together with the students who afterwards were interviewed. However, the students show varying answers and no generalizations can be done.

Användandet av CAM har ökat signifikant senaste åren för gravida kvinnor. Inom CAM ryms begreppet ?mind-body interventioner? eller ?mind-body therapies? och innefattar behandling så som mindfulness, yoga, akupunktur, massage. Yoga och mindfulness har enligt tidigare studier positiv inverkan på graviditet och graviditetsutfall.

The urban physical practice of parkour can be described as male dominated. In thispaper, however, I choose to focus on women participating in the sport. My materialconsist of interviews with five Swedish women who regularly perform parkour.Through the phenomenology of Simone de Beauvoir, Iris Marion Young and SaraAhmed, I analyze the women?s relationship to the body and (public) space. Myconclusion is that engaging in parkour has changed the way the women understandtheir own corporeality, from an ?I cannot? to an ?I can?.

Dominance in dogs is sometimes used to explain undesired behaviors and explained as a personality trait. Dominance though, is not a trait in a dog or a source for undesired behaviors, but can rather be explained as a relationship between individuals, were one of them receives more submissive signals from the other.

Fokus för den här C-uppsatsen är arbetsmetod och arbetsprocess i den estetiska lärprocessen ur ett ?målrelationellt? perspektiv i vilket målet för elevarbetet ses som en produktion av estetisk praktik och reflektion och där bildspråket fungerar som en pedagogisk funktion vilket bidrar till en förskjutning av synen på hur man lär sig genom relationella möten.Undersökningen utgår från ett ämnesintegrerat filmprojekt mellan samhällskunskap och rörlig bild som jag gjorde med elever på en gymnasieskola 2008. Jag har undersökt detta genom att låta före detta elever komma till tals och i intervjuer har de sex år efter avslutade studier, med hjälp av foto- och filmelicitering, berättat om vad de minns av arbetsmetod och arbetsprocess i filmprojektet. Bakgrunden till studiens frågeställning är en handledande arbetsmetod i rörlig bild, och funderingar kring vad den gör med lärande skolarbete i ämnesintegrerade projekt. Är estetisk lärprocessen i rörlig bild ett flummigt estetisk nonsens, något roligt att göra i vila från andra ämnen, eller hjälper detta elevers lärande framåt samtidigt som de har roligt i sitt skolarbete? Syftet med min studie är att belysa hur det relationella synliggörs i en estetisk lärprocess och jag vill härigenom bidra med kunskap om detta.I resultatet av undersökningen visar det sig att de före detta eleverna upplevt att den handledande arbetsmetod de fick tillgång till i arbetet med rörlig bildutvecklat deras färdigheter att reflektera över sina kunskaper, kritiskt granska, värdera och lösa problem i lärandet.

The aim of the present study was to estimate the correlation between Euro NCAP pedestrian rating scores and injury outcome in real-life car to pedestrian crashes, with special focus on long-term disability. The study also surveyed most frequently injured body regions and risk differences for specific elements of pedestrians hit by cars. Another aim was to determine whether Brake Assist systems affect the injury outcome in real-life car to pedestrian crashes and to estimate the effect in injury reduction of a high Euro NCAP ranking score combined with Brake Assist.In the current study, the Euro NCAP pedestrian scoring was compared with the real-life outcome in pedestrian crashes that occurred in Sweden 2003-2010. The real-life crash data was obtained from the data acquisition system STRADA, which combines police records and hospital admission data. The medical data consisted of International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems (ICD) diagnoses and Abbreviated Injury Scale (AIS) scoring.

Acrylamide (AM) is a commonly used monomer in the manufacture of polyacrylamide. In addition, AM has been found in heated foods that are rich in starch. The main dietary sources in Sweden tend to be crisps, French fries, fried potatoes, crisp bread, cookies and coffee. Today the individual ventilated cage system (IVC-system) is the most commonly used system when housing rodents. IVC systems are designed to control both supply and exhausted air at cage level, as well as temperature and relative humidity in the cages. This creates an optimal environment for the mouse and at the same time a protection against the risk of cross-infection between cages and the outside environment. The aim of this study was to evaluate the health and welfare for two different strains of laboratory mice (NMRI nude mice and C57BL/6NCrl mice) in three different kinds of IVC-systems; Arrowmight, Allentown and Tecniplast. 108 mouse pups from each strain (in total 216 mice) were selected after weaning at an age of three weeks and tested during 5 weeks.

The aim of this thesis is to examine how the identity of the public librarianwith regard to reading is manifested in the library field. The approaches thatare taken to reading and readers are examined as well as the consequencesdifferent approaches might have.
