The Swedish road transport sector relies almost completely on fossil fuels. In 2007, as much as 96 percent of the total sales of fuels was made up of petrol and diesel, while at the same time the share of total emissions of greenhouse gases in Sweden that came from road transports amounted to close to 30 per cent. Sweden is by no means worse off than any other European country in these respects. In order to address the questions of high oil dependence and CO2 emissions the European Commission has proposed a reinforcement of the legislative framework, with a 10 percent minimum for the market share of biofuels in 2020. Furthermore, the proposed target is binding for the member states, unlike the current voluntary target of 5.75 percent by 2010. More than doubling the usage of biofuels in only a bit more than a decade will most likely not be possible without policy interventions.

Softube has developed DSP-card and software for simulation of the sound of old tube amplifiers. The purpose with this thesis is to design a compact amplifier with high power to function together with the DSP-card and build a unit that can replace several other guitar amplifiers. The advantages with that kind of solution could be that it would be cheaper, easier to carry and easier to stor than the real amplifiers. The amplifier that has been designed is of class D type with digital PWM modulator. There is several types of amplifier modules on the market that use analog input signal, but if one of them would be used a D-A converter is needed on the DSP card.

Tvärspännda broplattor består av flera balkar, oftast limträ, som spänns samman med genomgående stag så att de bildar en bärande platta. Kupning av tvärspännda broplattor är ett fenomen som ibland uppstår. Själva kupningen i sig är inget stort problem men man misstänker att det på sikt kan leda till skador på brons tätskikt och beläggning. I den här rapporten utreds om det finns ett generellt hyvelfel hos enskilda balkar och om det kan vara en orsak till att plattor kupar. Vidare studeras plattor som satts ihop av block bestående av flera balkar och om kupning kan bero på om dessa block monterats ihop på ett sådant sätt att de är rombiska.

Today, about 15 to 20 percent of Sweden?s total emission of carbon dioxide can be traced to the household sector. By examining apartment blocks in a life cycle perspective, the origin of the carbon dioxide emission has been charted and analyzed. This information has been used to create a computational model that calculates the total emission of carbon dioxide from a specific apartment block. The results from the analyzed apartment blocks indicate that both the use of energy and the emission of carbon dioxide have been reduced since the 1960s. Through the examination of building materials, it is possible to lower the emission of carbon dioxide that origins from the construction phase of an apartment block.

Examensarbetet behandlar en jämförelse av Server Message Block 3.0 och föregångaren 2.1 i ett befintligt nätverk. Jämförelsen utfördes i fyra laborationsmiljöer bestående av fyra operativsystem: Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Server 2012, Windows 7 ochWindows 8. Sammanlagt har fyra tester utförts: Förstudie, Test 1, Test 2 och Test 3. Förstudien utfördes för att testa nätverksprestanda mellan två datorer. De andra testerna satte SMB 2.1 och SMB 3.0 på prov.I Test 1 ansågs SMB 3.0 prestera sämre än SMB 2.1, för att bekräfta resultaten kontaktades Jose Barreto på Microsoft.

The purpose of this essay is to investigate why the two Swedish municipalities of Frykerud and Östmark were the only municipalities in Värmland that were forcibly merged by the state during the ?Municipality block reform? of 1971, and whether local identities played a role in the resistance against this reform.     The study is designed as a comparative case study and builds on both history and political science to analyze the topic from a broader perspective. Based on the research situation three theoretical theses have been formulated, the durability of which will be tested in the analysis part of the essay.    The study notes that Frykeruds resistance against the ?Municipality block reform? started when the reform prevented a planned retirement home construction in the municipality. In the analytical part of the essay, the author discusses how the discontent can be interpreted as symptomatic of bourgeois centralization resistance, as well as being due to the fact that traditional, local self-government as a political subject was perceived as threatened.

The Swedish contemporary poet Ulf Karl Olov Nilsson (UKON) creates his poems by recycling and manipulating existing material. This paper deals with evaluating 3D-bootstrap for the mining company New Boliden in an attempt to revise their current method of calculating average gold riches in different areas. The purpose is to find one-sided 3D-bootstrap confidence bound of the average gold riches. There lacks well-defined theory behind using 3D-bootstrap, in this paper the variogram is used as an estimate of dependencies between the observations, and the block length is chosen to be higher than this estimate. In aid of this, a simulated data material is conducted to check the validity of 3D-bootstrap in a controlled area where the theoretical value is known. The results are inconclusive, and further studies are needed..

En landsomfattande försökserie anlades mellan 1984 - 1988 med 15 försöksblock i Sverige. Syftet var att studera den totala effekten på virkesproduktionen av tre olika intensiva skogsskötselalternativ. Inom varje block upprättades en extensiv behandling som innebar att ingen åtgärd efter avverkning vidtogs, en normal behandling som motsvarade markägarens normala skötselintensitet vid tiden när försöken anlades. Slutligen fanns en intensiv behandling där ambitionsnivån skulle vara högre än vad som kunde anses vara normalt. Mitt syfte var att studera hur fältskiktets täckningsgrad och artantal påverkats av de tre olika skogsskötselintensiteterna på de tre försöksblocken Bjurholm, Edefors och Harads i Norra Sverige. På dessa block inventerade jag markvegetationen med fokus på fältskiktet i månadsskiftet mellan Juni och Juli 2013.

This thesis aims at studying the development of the party cohesion and oligarchichaltendencies in the party groups of the Swedish national parliament, riksdagen, after theintroduction of two clear block coalitions during the years 2006-2010.The result of the cohesion during these years has been compared towards the years 1998-2006.The research method being used has been 18 semi structured interviews with member of the parliament during the examined years. The main findings show an increment of both the cohesion and the oligarchical tendencies after the block coalitions during the years 2006-2010. The result verified therefore also the two originally stated hypothesis..

In recent years, existing solutions for cooling personal computer CPUs have been supplemented by a new product category, factory sealed water cooling loops. These systems, consisting of a water block with an integrated pump, a fan and a radiator, perform well compared to the air cooling solutions but are less effective than larger, custom-built water cooling systems.This project aims to explore the most important aspects of a factory sealed system and to identify possible cost-effective enhancements of the performance.The most significant differences between the different groups of water cooling loops are the block design and the pumping power. The performance of both categories is also largely dependent on the fan power, but increasing fan power has a large negative impact on the noise level.Both radiator size and fan model choice appear, in tests, to be relatively unimportant, presuming that the noise level is kept constant. The position and direction of the fan, however, has significant impact on both the temperature and the sound level.Water blocks can be designed in several different ways, both regarding the heatsink design and the flow direction. In simulation, flow with the inlet centered above the heatsink result in considerably lower pressure drop and slightly higher temperatures than flow through the block, for heatsinks with fin arrays.Creating a competitive product in this product segment certainly seems possible, as there are performance-increasing changes to be made that seemingly has little impact on the production cost.

The expression semi-natural pasture is used for pastures that during the latest time are uncultivated and unfertilized. Semi-natural pastures are important in many respects for example to conserve the biodiversity and for our cultural history. The aim of my study was to compile and calculate the area of semi-natural pastures by use existing sources of information.

Jag har skrivit om barnen och deras situation i samhället. Min tanke är att barnen överöses av krav under hela sin uppväxt och att de sällan finner tid för att finna sig själv. Min tanke är att kyrkan skulle kunna hjälpa barnen att finna denna tid, men frågan kvarstår om ens de hinner med detta. I mitt första block tar jag upp dessa frågor i min inledning och har även en metoddel för att visa vilken litteratur jag tagit del av för att genomföra arbetet. Mitt andra block tar upp barnens situation idag, både inom den egna familjen och inom skolan samt det övriga samhället.

Eskilstuna Elektronikpartner (EEPAB) är ett elektronikföretag som tillverkar vinkelgivare till bland annat kranar som är monterade på lastbilsflak.För att EEPAB på ett intressant sätt ska kunna demonstrera sin produkt på mässor har en demonstrator tagits fram. Denna demonstrator består av en fjärrstyrd grävmaskin och en elektronikenhet, som hanterar den analoga signalen från vinkelgivaren. Resultatet, som är vinkelgivarens lutning i grader, presenteras på två sjusegmentdisplayer som är placerade på grävmaskinens bägge sidor. Vinkeln skickas även trådlöst från elektronikenheten, via Bluetooth, till en PC.
