The purpose of this thesis is to investigate if there are environments that use some kind of central authentication system within institutions/schools. The hypothesis is that an institution not using a form of central authentication service has more need for maintenance and as such is considered a higher cost for the organization. The gathering of data has been done through interviews with technical personal at Blekinge Tekniska Högskola and Linköpings Universitet. This bachelor thesis portray a project where the main task were to develop a computer based system prototype for handling of absence report at the upper secondary school af Chapman in Karlskrona. The project has been conducted in cooperation with students from the university programs software engineering and information economy at Blekinge Institute of Technology. Our task as MDA-students have been to survey the process of absence report of today through field studies and give a proposal of a graphical user interface which later were developed by the software engineers. The study is deductive. Results: I found that it is possible to explain the bankruptcies using the prediction models.

AbstractSyftet med denna undersökning är att intervjua pedagoger för att få vet mer om synen på bild som ett verktyg i lärande processen och om de pedagogerna anser att de utnyttjar bilden som en medierande och ämnesövergripande resurs. Undersökningen är gjord genom att fem pedagoger på olika skolor i Skåne och Blekinge har intervjuats. Undersökningen är fokuserad på pedagogernas kunskap och inställning till bildanvändandet. Resultat visar att pedagogerna har en stor vilja att utveckla sig för att skapa motivation och en bättre miljö där eleverna kan utöva bildanvändandet. Under vårterminen 2011 har jag studerat hur ett verktyg påverkar en arbetsprocess. Från en idé har ett projekt vuxit fram och två ljudbanker för musikproduktion har producerats, detta har gjorts möjligt genom att jag har studerat digital ljudproduktion på Blekinge Tekniska Högskola, där intresset för det som blivit mitt kandidatarbete, har väckts till liv. Mitt kandidatarbete har resulterat i två ljudbanker, den ena banken har fokus på digitala trummor medan den andra har fokus på synthar. Slutreflektionen berättar hur denna process har gått tillväga, och hur resultatet blev. Jag för fram för- och nackdelar av arbete i Dune, hämtar fakta från kända producenter inom elektronisk musik och bedömer det resultat jag har får. På både gott och ont har dessa två ljudbanker blivit två produkter.

This case-study examines the correlation between young men and democratic instability in group discussions with two analyzing methods in one. One part of the method used is deliberative democracy which aims to explain how democracy works within the frames of discussion in ordinary citizens groups. In this study the citizens is upper level secondary school students. The other part of the method used is the theory pulled by many scholars lately, the demographic impact on democracy. With these two combined in one this study compare the theory of young men as more active in political violence and as a destabilising factor of democracy on country-level with the results of the study in deliberative democracy in small group discussions.

In this essay I discuss and analyse if we can witness any signs on regional dimension due to regional representation from our elected representatives in the five constituencies Malmö, Blekinge, Norrbotten, Uppsala and Stockholm. Two seperate terms of office between 1991-94 and 1998-2002 has been compared. In political science there has been much debate about the relationship between voters and their elected. By measuring each and everyone elected representatives in the work of produce introduced bills towards their own constitiency during both terms I have tried to see if there is an occurence of a regional dimension.The theory that´s been applied is based on geographical representation where one might aspect that central metropolitan areas and peripheral regions is somewhat over-represented in legislatures. By using a method of comparison between the five chosen constituencies and theirs elected representatives I have come the the conclusion that there is a weak tendency that this might be the case seen to a regional dimension perspective..

Det här är resultatet av kandidatarbetet, skrivet under kursen kandidatarbete 15 p vårterminen 2010 på programmet för fysisk planering vid Blekinge Tekniska Högskola. Arbetet är det avslutande examensarbetet efter 3 års studier i fysisk planering på grundläggande nivå. Arbetet handlar om funktionsomvandlingar i staden. Hur ett flexibelt byggande kan underlätta i städer, där behovet av byggnader förändras snabbare än en byggnads livstid. Kandidatarbetet har dels inneburit studier av en funktionsomvandling som gjorts på Stumholmen i Karlskrona och dels inneburit ett försök till en liknande omvandling på ön Kungsholmen i Karlskronas skärgård där en funktionsomvandling är aktuell idag år 2010.

Syfte: Syftet är kartlägga vilka företag det är som tillämpar respektive inte tillämpar formella belöningssystem. Dessutom syftar arbetet till att beskriva varför mindre företag har tagit besluten att använda eller inte använda formella belöningssystem och om de tror att belöningssystem har positiva eller negativa effekter på vissa faktorer. Metod: Uppsatsen bygger på kvantitativ metodteori. För att få svar på våra frågor om formella belöningssystem i mindre företag, har vi genomfört telefonintervjuer med representanter för 40 mindre företag. Svaren har sedan sammanställts och analyserats med hjälp av statistikprogrammet SPSS.

In this Bachelor thesis I explore sound and room as elements in design of user interfaces, both theoretical and practical in a specific application domain, to identify some of the advantages and disadvantage associated with these elements. As application domain I studied email clients and their usage at home amongst students at Blekinge Institute of Technology. In the study I found an activity, which seems to be highly distributed in the physical room where the user is located. The activity was notification of email and could take place in an arbitrary location of the home. I then augmented this activity with ideas from my theoretical assumption about room and sound. The result was a rule-based agent for notification of email, which primarily uses sound as interaction style..
