The present work is meant to, by literature studies and an experiment, give some answers to the question if cutting and competition can depress the growth of couch. The experiment was carried out in the growing season 2001 at Ultuna, Uppsala, in plastic boxes. The design was three-factorial randomised complete blocks. The factors were plant combination, nitrogen level and cutting strategy.

Uppsatsen behandlar frågan huruvida det existerar något samband mellan storleken på terminspremien och inflationsförändringar i Sverige. Genom hypotesprövning för perioden 1992-12-31 t.o.m. 2001-12-31, undersöks därigenom hur föregående perioders inflation påverkar terminspremien mellan den svenska tremånaders- och ettåriga statsskuldväxeln. I uppsatsen konstrueras två modeller utifrån förväntningshypotesen och Fishereffekten, som ska visa huruvida ett samband existerar. För den undersökta perioden nås slutsatsen, att modellerna inte kan påvisa att ett samband mellan terminspremiens storlek och inflationsförändringar i Sverige existerar.

Background: Borderline personality disorder is a psychiatric diagnosis that one to two percent of the population and at least every fourth patient that have received treatment at a psychiatric clinic has been diagnosed with. BPD is most common in women between teenage and early adulthood. Purpose: The aim of this literature study was to emphasize the nursing care of patients diagnosed with BPD within different perspectives. Method: A literature study was conducted to get a deeper understanding for the nursing care of patients with BPD. The search for pertinent articles, answering to the aim of the study, was done in different databases.

The purpose with this masters thesis was to model the scanner in a system for laser bathymetry. The model was then used to develop a controller for the scanner so a good search pattern was achieved. Two different types of models have been tested, a physical model and a Black Box model of Box Jenkins type. The physical model has been derived from Lagranges equations. Identification experiments have been used to compute the Black Box model and to find the unknown parameters in the physical model.

Through a comparative analysis the essay mainly discusses how these writers deal with the problem of narrative.

This essay examines two modern retellings of the classic fairy tale of Snow White and the seven dwarfs in the version of the brothers Grimm. By analyzing the differences in the modern version to the more original one my aim is to be able to see how these objects of popular culture are affected by the type of society they are created within.In my two-step analysis I have first used the theory of narratology to find what changes had been made in the two retellings. Here I have the help of several key concepts of the theorists Vladimir Propp, Gérard Genette and David Bordwell. The narrative differences, which turned out to concern the characters mostly, I have then sought to explain in the light of the sociological theories of Zygmunt Bauman regarding liquid modernity and liquid fears..

I denna uppsats undersöks hur väl nyttoteorin och en konkurrent till denna, prospektteorin, kan förklara riskbeteendet hos Black Jack-spelare. Detta görs genom en studie av fem individers spelbeteende på en krog i centrala Jönköping. Swedish forests are dominated by just two conifer species Norway spruce and Scotch pine. They are not able to achieve the highest possible production or fulfill industry demands for raw materials. The introduction of exotic conifers can potentially meet these shortcomings and present a relevant solution. This study was conducted in a block experiment with ten blocks planted in 1987 by SCA in North Sweden. The objective of the block experiment was to study if Black spruce is an appropriate alternative to Lodgepole pine, Norway spruce and Scotch pine on different site classes.
