Herbicide resistance is the result of an evolutionary process where a population gradually changes from being susceptible to being resistant to an herbicide. The resistance mechanism is usually a change in the biochemistry of the weed, but in some cases changes in morphology or growth rhythm. The change is caused by random mutations. Two resistance mechanisms are found in black-grass; target site resistance and metabolic resistance.Black-grass is a tufty, winter annual grass weed, which is mainly found in milder climates. Black-grass is a big problem in Southern Europe.

High levels of ammonia in grass silage have been up for discussion by Swedish advisers. One reason is that it is more difficult for the rumen-microbes to utilise high levels of ammonia. A low level of ammonia is also good because if the cattle can use more of the protein in the silage, they don?t need so much protein concentrate. That is very good for the economy at the farm, and it is also good for the environmental problems caused by high levels of ammonia. In this project, 24 samples of silage have been taken at 20 different farms in the south west of Sweden.

Min uppsats har visat på black metal-stilens betydelse för fyra ungdomars identitetsskapande. Jag har med koppling till teoretiska infallsvinkar och begrepp rörande stilars och kulturers betydelse diskuterat black metal-kulturen med fokus på dess stilmässiga uttryck, dess symbolanvändande och dess innebörd för ungdomarnas självbild.I min studie har jag diskuterat och redogjort för hur black metal-kulturen kan te sig genom att förklara hur musiken låter och hur stilens uttryck i form av kläder och frisyrer kan se ut. Uppsatsen har visat på hur symboler och kodsystem används av ungdomarna inom ramen för kulturen för att markera och positionera sin identitet. Jag har i min studie även visat hur black metal-stilen kan vara ett existentiellt ställningstagande mot kommersialism och mainstreamkultur..

The purpose of this report is to find out which crops, that are good for strawfuel, and can be grown i the area around the city of Lund. The background of this report it that Lunds energy is planning to bild a biofuelheated thermal power station in Örtofta outside of Lund. I have in the report limited me to the crops hemp, whole crop (triticale), reed canary grass, elephant grass and jerusalem artichoke. I have through a documentary research checked the crops, cultivabillity in the south of Sweden, and how they should fit, in the Scanian crop sequence. Hemp is an annual crop which probably could manage in the Scanian crop sequence. Whole crop often triticale because of it´s high yield and low rate of shed seed. Could also fit into the crop sequence of crop in Scanian. Triticale is annual, and could be grown at the same kind of fields as used to wheat, whith is why it would be possible to grow it in Scania. Reed canary grass is a reedlike grass that is easy grown at most soils.

AbstractRelationships between white women and black men have become a topic of interest in various discussion forums. By examining different arguments within certain discourses, it becomes clear that discourses that have a distinct autocrat outline, i.e. a closed and declaring nature which excludes alternative discursive arguments, also define these relationships as different and deviant in comparison to relationships that does not encompass and include the constellation white women and black men. As a result of the use of autocrat discourses the white women and black men who enter into relationships are displaced and positioned as subaltern. A position which, on the one hand, allows for uninhibited criticism, but, on the other hand, and most importantly, it is a position from where they can be defined by others.

Black nightshade (Solanum nigrum L.) is a major problem in gardenpea cultivations contracted by Findus AB, a Swedish food processing company. The main problem is that the nightshade berries contain solanin and, thus, are not tolerated in the marketed product, which is fresh frozen peas. In addition, berries have the same size and color as the peas and cannot be separated at the factory. Black nightshades have the last ten years become a more common weed in field grown vegetables in the southern parts of Sweden. This MSc thesis presents an experiment conducted in 2005, aiming at developing a tool for predicting the need for control of black nightshade in peas.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att med tre GARCH-modeller skatta volatiliteten för fjorton aktier med t- och normalfördelade slumptermer. Dessa volatiliteter implementeras sedan i Black-Scholes modell samt i Monte-Carlo simuleringar och utfallen av dessa två värderingsmetoder jämförs.Författarna har kommit fram till att GARCH-modeller behövs för att skatta volatiliteten för de aktier som ingår i arbetet då modellerna tar hänsyn till den föreliggande heteroskedasticiteten.De skillnader som uppstår mellan Monte-Carlo simuleringar och Black-Scholes modell beror främst på skillnader mellan normal- och t-fördelningen samt att volatiliteten ger större effekt i Monte-Carlo simuleringarna. This work investigates the breeding success of the Black-throated Diver, Gavia arctica, related to the water quality in three lakes located in the Vallentuna area, north of Stockholm, Sweden.For more than 30 years, I have studied the bird life around these three and other nearby lakes, and noticed that the Black-throated Diver breeds in some lakes, but not in others.The results confirm that the deep and clear lakes Tärnan and Stora Harsjön have good water quality regarding pH, alkalinity, aluminium and Secchi disk values. As expected, the Black-throated Diver shows breeding success in those two lakes, but does not breed in the shallow and eutrophic lake Mysslingen. .
