When rubber equipment in a milking system ages, physical and chemical deterioration occurs and cracks, crevices, as well as deposits of organic and inorganic material is formed on the surface. Bacterial colonization can accumulate, especially on ageing rubber equipment and if the cleaning procedure is not functioning properly. Formation of biofilm in milking equipment could in turn cause bacterial contamination of bulk tank milk. ATP bioluminescence is a fast and easy way to determine the hygienic status of a surface based on its ATP content, and results are given in relative light units (RLU). The method measures both bacterial contamination as well as residues from other organic material.

Sport horses are widely used for performance in jumping, dressage, endurance etc. To enable comparisons of horses, training facilities, programs or physical status, an exercise test can be used. Inom geotekniken har under en lång tid fokus legat på finkorniga jordar och deras mekaniska egenskaper. Orsaken har inte bara varit att finkorniga jordar representerar svårigheter vid byggande, till exempel i form av sättningar och tjälskador, utan också för att det inte funnits möjligheter att göra laboratorieförsök på material av grövre fraktioner på grund av laboratorieutrustningens ringa storlek. Metodiken vid laboratorieförsök av blandjordar har varit att plocka bort grövre fraktioner och enbart testa jordens finare fraktioner. Den vanliga metodiken med att enbart testa jordens finare fraktioner fungerar i regel. Men ju mindre finmaterial som finns i det undersökta materialet desto mer kan metodiken ifrågasättas.

The purpose of this degree project was to build laboratory equipment for a new course in power electronics that starts this autumn 2010 at Uppsala University. The equipment is intended for student labs and it covers the most important areas of the course including rectifying, buck-/boost-converters and PWM-modulation. It is built as one sealed unit where all the electronics are built-in but visible and it has a connection board where students safely can connect the different circuits. The project has advanced from theoretical studies of circuit design, choosing of components and simulations to drawing the printed circuit board (PCB), soldering, case building, final testing and troubleshooting - basically most steps from an early idea to a final product. Measurements on the final product gave about the same results as the earlier simulations of the circuits and the result is overall satisfying..

Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka hur annonseringar om reporänteförändringar påverkar aktiekursen för banker och kommersiella fastighetsbolag samt om räntenivån har en långsiktig effekt på dessa branschers risk gentemot marknaden. Vidare ska det fastställas om det förekommer abnormala avkastningar för dessa två branscher gentemot marknaden vid annonseringstillfälle. Studien använder sig av en eventstudiemetodologi med sekundär data där tillkännagivanden angående ränteförändringar från Riksbanken används som eventdag från perioden 2000-2009. Sju företag från OMX Large Cap är indelade i två sektorer där den abormala avkastningen från varje bolag beräknas för att se om det förekommer några skillnader gentemot ett marknadsindex. Vidare undersöks hur den årliga räntenivån påverkar beta och volatiliteten för banker och fastighetsbolag på längre sikt.Undersökningen finner en statistiskt signifikant men svag positiv korrelation mellan reporänteförändringar och banker där dock inga avgörande slutsatser angående orsaken till detta kan fastställas. Kommersiella fastighetsbolag visar ingen signifikant korrelation mellan ränteförändringar och kumulativa abnormala avkastningar gentemot ett marknadsindex.
