The aim of this master thesis?s is to examine what functions writing activities can have in the public library. Some public libraries offer their visitors writing activities, for example courses and camps. The public library is an institution with a particular identity, with special norms and properties which participants within the institution construct and reproduce. The main question of this thesis is to investigate how writing activities can be a part of the public library?s institutional identity and what functions writing activities in the public library can have.

Our study has found that there are different structures and strategies in China and the US. This is due to the different constraints in each country which either allows the union to flourish or cripples its ability to function in a manner that protects workers rights..

I följande arbete har en ekonometrisk undersökning av svensk verkstadsindustri genomförts. Åtta bolag, registrerade på Stockholmsbörsen, och tillhörande verkstadsindustrin har valts ut. Dessa är Volvo AB, Sandvik, ABB, Alfa Laval, Assa Abloy, SKF, Scania och Atlas Copco. Bolagens genomsnittliga avkastning utgör den beroende variabeln i undersökningen. De förklarande variablerna har valts med hänsyn tagen till fakta presenterad i bolagens årsrapporter samt ekonomisk relevans.

This paper concerns the stone foundations found in Östra Vrå in Stora Malmparish outside of Katrineholm. The discourse is about whether these constructionsare remnants of houses, long barrows or some kind of other burial structure andhow to understand the stone foundations in relation to the location. Findings ofgraves in Östra Vrå indicate that the location has a more ritual function than it haspreviously been attributed and that context suggests that the stone foundationsshould be reintepreted..

The primary purpose of this paper is to find the determinants of first-day returns on the Stockholm Stock Exchange. Our research will cover the 1996 ? 2004 periods. Our secondary purpose is intended to find a profitable trading strategy with regard to future IPOs on the Stockholm Stock Exchange. By using regression analysis, focusing on company specific factors and the IPO process, we hope to find a function exhibiting statistical significance, determining future first-day returns from which construction of a profitable trading strategy will be possible.

När fler och fler väljer att lära sig programmering kan det vara bra att öva på attlösa problem, genom att skriva funktioner som sedan kan testas för att se omanvändaren har lyckats. Function Practice är en tjänst för att kunna öva programmeringpå just detta sätt, genom att lösa uppgifter med att skriva funktioneri olika programmeringsspråk, de språk som kommer kunna användas ärJava, C++ och Python. Det ger även ett lätt och smidigt sätt att skapa sådanauppgifter. Syftet med projektet är att utveckla denna tjänst, genom att skapa enwebbtjänst som kan kompilera och köra funktioner för de olika språken, enhemsida som användarna kan skriva och testa kod på, samt ett sätt att definierauppgifterna som ska lösas, detta testas sedan med hjälp av ett användartest i enmindre grupp för att se om hur användarvänlig den är, samt att funktionalitetentestas och jämförs med några tidigare lösningar. Tjänsten testas för att se om ytterligaresäkerhet behövs genom att försöka att köra kommandon på värdsystemet.Slutsatsen av projektet är funktionaliteten bakom tjänsten fungerar dock atthemsidan behöver vara lite tydligare för att den ska vara mer användarvänlig,samt att användaren borde kunna få felmeddelanden utifall något inte fungerarför att de lättare ska veta vad de behöver göra.

Bakgrund: När ett barn diagnostiseras med cancer förändras livet för hela familjen. Fokus på det sjuka barnet gör att syskon lätt glöms bort. Därför är det viktigt att sjuksköterskan verkar stödjande för syskon och familjen som helhet och tillgodoser de behov som uppkommer i situationen. Syfte: Syftet var att beskriva specifika behov hos syskon till cancersjuka barn. Metod: Studien utformades som en litteraturöversikt där tio artiklar med kvalitativ ansats inkluderades.

Betalaktamaser med utvidgat spektrum så kallade Extended Spectrum Beta-Lactamase (ESBL) är enzymer som produceras av bakterier och som har en avgörande roll ur kliniskt perspektiv då de blir resistenta mot de flesta antibiotika vilket leder till begränsade behandlingsalternativ. För att selektera fram dessa bakterier användes kromogena agarplattor vid odling, vilka selekterade bort jästsvampar och grampositiva bakterier och underlättar detektionen av ESBL-positiva stammar. Syftet med studien var att jämföra tre olika selektiva agarplattor CHROMagar ESBL, ChromID ESBL och CHROMagar C3GR genom att utvärdera deras specificitet och sensitivitet. Totalt användes 130 olika patientprover från feces, blod, sår och urin, vilka valdes ut slumpmässigt ur den rutinmässiga diagnostiken. Proverna odlades på de tre agarplattor.

Interior window shutters can be found in historical buildings, but they are an uncommon occurrence in modern buildings. In modern contemporary construction, large glass panels are often the ideal because of increased light inflow and for architectural purposes. However, this can generate several negative effects, such as increased energy loss, lack of privacy and high sunlight penetration. Problems that window shutters could have accommodated historically. This thesis identifies a lack of knowledge about interior window shutters in the Swedish building stock.

Att skapa en god vårdrelation mellan sjuksköterska och patient är en förutsättning för att patienten ska kunna delta och vara motiverad till att förbättra sin psykiska hälsa. Patienter med borderline personlighetsstörning (BPD) och självskadebeteende är patientgrupper som omnämns med en negativ attityd inom psykiatrisk omvårdnad. Vårt syfte med studien är sjuksköterskors beskrivning av faktorer som kan påverka vårdrelationen med patienter med BPD och självskadebeteende. Metoden är systematik litteraturstudie där sökning av vetenskapliga studier har gjort i databaserna OneSearch beta, Medline , Cinahl och PSYC-info. Studierna granskades utifrån modifierade kvalitetbedömningsprotokoll.

This thesis describes the development of a tank insert for diesel cars, from idea to a prototype. The idea is to design an insert which makes it impossible to refuel petrol in a diesel car. The insert shall be installed in the existing tank opening on diesel cars. The tank insert is designed for the Swedish company SverigeGrepen AB located in Vänge, just outside Uppsala. Their main product is a pitchfork that is ergonomically designed and durable.A pre-study were performed in which information relating to fuel caps, tank openings, petrol- and diesel nozzles were collected.

This essay is about a deserted medieval habitation called Skyttsie Hage which is located in the south of Sweden in the Scania province where it lies on a moor on the Falsterbopeninsula. Remains of five to six larger buildings have been found here with a surrounding earthwork, although it's not known for sure what kind of habitation they have been part of. The purpose of this study is from a teacher?s perspective to examine how schoolteachers experience the possibilities of learning from each other within their work team and to shed some light on how teachers believe that cooperation affects their ability to learn and improve on a daily basis. My research questions are: What is the general discussion among the teachers concerning daily capacity building from enhanced teamwork? How important is well-functioning cooperation between co-workers for learning and daily capacity building? What are the prerequisites for a well-functioning learning situation within the work team?The study is based on five qualitative interviews with teachers within the same school but from different teaching backgrounds based on what grade they teach, what subjects they teach, and they belong to different work teams within the school. The interviews are semi-structured.The results have been analysed from a perspective based on the theories of organisational pedagogy and learning organisations.The results implies that the work teams does not function as a forum for exchanging experiences and learning from each other.
