More than 90 % of all business activity in the world market consists of small and midsized companies today. The aim of this study is to analyze the discussion on the publication of twelve caricatures of the prophet Muhammad, in two Swedish newspapers ? Dagens Nyheter and Sydsvenska Dagbladet. The caricatures were originally published in the Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten, in September 2005. Even though the violent protests and attacks against Danish interests gained major media attention in Sweden few ? if any ? major Swedish newspapers published the caricatures.Using Fairclough?s Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA), a theory and a method that critically examines the relationship between text, the discourse practice in which text is produced and consumed, and the wider social practice, this study examines why Swedish newspapers chose not to publish any caricatures.The study concludes that the relationship between orders of discourse continuously affect, and is also affected by, Swedish media content.

Half of Sweden's productive forest land is owned by individual forest owners. Research studies show that forest owners have more objectives with their forest than a high net present value, and that the suggestions of the forest management plans doesn?t always correspond to the forest owners? objectives. Through a qualitative study we conducted a discussion about objectives at stand level with the aim of making a more specific formulation of the forest owners? objectives. We asked about the forest owners' objectives at stand level, what forest management they conduct in order to achieve the objectives and how this management affects the net present value of the property. Based on the results of the interviews, we analyzed what kind of factors decide where the objectives place themselves in the landscape and if the objectives at stand level are consistent with the overall objectives for the property. Many forest owners questioned the idea of talking about objectives at stand level, and they didn?t always have their objectives clearly defined.

Denna studie undersöker hur utbredd användningen av Best management practices (BMP) är hos gotländska dikoproducenter samt om det finns några samband mellan dikoproducenternas användning av BMPs och deras egenskaper och uppfattning av förutsättningar att använda BMPs. Studien genomfördes under våren 2014 genom telefonintervjuer med hjälp av ett frågeformulär där frågor om producentens egenskaper samlas in tillsammans med svaren på ett antal påståenden kring producentens regelbundna användning av vardera BMPs och producenten uppfattning av förutsättningar. Påståendena formulerades utifrån en Likert-skala och fått inspiration av de sju förutsättningar som påverkar producenter användning av ny teknik som beskrivs i Gillespies et al. studie om användning av BMPs i nötköttsproduktion i Louisiana, USA 2007. The aim of this project was to change the way cutting techniques are being taught. I wished to try a method which I believed to enhance my students´ participation and understanding of their education. My purpose was to reduce the gap between theory and practice. After conducting a learning style test I found that most of them considered the best way for them to learn was by combining practice with dialogue and reflection of the tasks being done. That is why we tried to start working with the practical elements rather than traditionally starting with the theoretical aspects, while carefully intertwining terms and language of the trade into the education.
