I den här rapporten redovisas ett designprojekt som utgår ifrån vårt kulturlandskapängen. Arbetet undersöker den problematik som rör ängarnas försvinnande samt utforskar kulturella och biologiska värden. Med hjälp av illustrerad bild och text i ett bokformat, där designern står som avsändare, strävar projektet efter att kommunicera aspekter av ängen och dess situation samt belysa ett rådande förhållningssätt i vår tid. Som metod utforskas och inventeras spår i det urbana kulturlandskapet och genom detta synliggörs såväl mänsklig aktivitet som tid och kulturella avtryck. With the development of the Internet, illegal copying of electronic documents has become a growing problem. There is an increasing need of prevention in the field of pirate copying. One method is to mark the document by changing some of the words to synonyms. In this way it is possible to construct legal copies which do not differ in content but still are unique. Since the copies of the documents are unique, it is possible to trace the owner of a document and accordingly call him or her to account for pirate copying if several exactly similar copies are reaching the market.

A paranoid and shameful reading of Inger Christensens novel Azorno.The contagious feelings of paranoia and shame played a vital part in my first reading of the novel Azorno, written by the Danish poet Inger Christensen. In this essay, I?m letting those emotions direct the ?understanding? and analysis of the novel. In earlier research the focus has been to comprehend what the novel ?really is about?, and even though it has been mentioned that the form probably is a way to make the reader a visible constructer of  the novel?s ?meaning? the understanding has never been created by the affects that occurs during the reading.

Chapter 6 of the Ch?ndogya Upani?ad has often been treated in works on early Indian philosophy, as well as in some comparative studies on color symbolism. Attempts to place it in a larger framework against the background of late Vedic religion are, however, few, the rationalistic and ?tradition-challenging? appearance of the text having repeatedly been emphasized. This thesis examines the way that subversivity is produced in relation to the name of the author, as understood by Foucault, and what potential for ressistance that can be glimpsed there. Det ökade medieflödet och har gjort att svensklärare har ett allt större utbud av texter att ta ställning till. Skolan har beskyllts för att ha ett dualistiskt synsätt på högkultur och populärkultur, skola och fritid. I den här undersökningen används kvalitativa intervjuer med lärare i grundskolan tidigare år för ta reda på vad som ligger till grund för svensklärares val av text till undervisningen samt en enkät för att se huruvida det finns en tydlig gräns mellan skola och fritid vad gäller de texter som eleverna möter. En övergripande frågeställning i undersökningen är också vilken medvetenhet svensklärarna uppvisar i sina val av text. Undersökningen visar på sex motiv eller faktorer som styr lärarnas val av text: tillgänglighet, användbarhet, elevgruppsunderlag, innehåll, form och estetik samt personligt intresse och erfarenhet.

The purpose of this project is to survey the presence of folk expressions, i.e. proverbs, proverbial expressions, wellerisms and familiar expressions, in some of the realistic children?s books by Astrid Lindgren. The purpose also includes the study of the contextual and pragmatic functions of the expressions as well as how the expressions are integrated into the text by the change of the formulaic standard structure. The contextual and pragmatic function concern when, how and why the expressions are used and who the users of the expressions are.

Current technology offers many possibilities for remotecommunication. Nevertheless, people with cognitive and communicativedisabilities have limited access to common communication technology like textmessaging via a mobile phone. This study is part of the project Text messagingwith picture symbols - a possibility for AAC users and people with cognitiveimpairments. Semi structured interviews were used to investigate three menand four women?s experiences of using Windows mobiles with adaptedfunctions for text messaging.

The main objective of this research was to examine description of Islam in two different schoolbooks about religion. The rapport starts with an introduction of the subject and discusses the background of the topic. After the presentation, aims, and the questions I present my methods and material used in this research. Following the method and material is earlier research where I mention some of the previous rapports and results of researchers within the discourse. The theory used to investigate the text is postcolonial and the orientalism theory presented by Edward Said.The intention of the research was to answer if the books representation contributed to an oriental description of Islam and Muslims and to see how the text and pictures where used and structured.

Elgitarrskolan är ett försök att skapa en webbsida med inslag av interaktivitet. Sidan är tänkt att fungera som en lärande miljö där besökaren ska lära sig att spela elgitarr, eller att vidareutveckla ditt spelande. Förutom själva spelandet ska sidan också ge gästen information om elgitarren och kringutrustning, med en del tekniska specifikationer, historik m.m. Elgitarrskolan är ett försök att sprida specifik kunskap genom att integrera flera olika medier till en fungerande enhet. Med hjälp av text, grafik, animationer, ljud, video och interaktiva element har jag försökt att göra informationen så lättillgänglig som möjligt och samtidigt intressant.

This essay examines how the meaning of an absurd play may be affected by how the reader understands the text. To address this problem I have turned to Wolfgang Isers theory of reception. Primarily I have taken on that the creation of meaning comes about when the reader fills in blanks in the text. I have also used Martin Esslins work on the theater of the absurd. I have mainly studied his research on Harold Pinter.

This study considers Härskarringen (1959?61), a Swedish translation of J. R. R. Tolkien?s The Lord of the Rings (1954?55), within the framework of translation studies and the description of norms within different fields of translation.

In this essay I point out that the presence of  ?Otherness? plays a key role in the novel The Beach by Alex Garland, and that the text relates to a colonial literary tradition. I?ve mainly used the distinction of Otherness and cultural representation presented by the postcolonial theorist Edward W. Said to guide me.

AbstractUppsatsen handlar om tv-spelen Hitman: Blood Money (2006) och Hitman: Absolution (2012) samt dess adaptionsförhållanden till filmtolkningen Hitman (2007). Spelen är utvecklade av det danska spelföretaget IO Interactive och filmen är regisserad av den franska regissören Xavier Gens. Analysen är baserad på åtta teoretiska texter varav en text handlar om tv-spel och dess förhållande till film, fyra texter om adaption (varav två närmare går in på auteurteorier), en text om våld, en text om skräck och slutligen en text om genreteori. Uppsatsen tar upp problematiken i adaptionsprocessen med fokus på överföring från spel till film och sedan vice versa.Den tar också upp tre fördjupningsämnen som är anpassade till spelen och filmen samt ett mindre fördjupningsämne om vem som har rätt till att kalla sig auteur. Dessa tre primära fördjupningsämnen är skräck, våld och genre.

The purpose of this study is to examine the view of knowledge and the view of learner which are prominent in the ministry memorandum Specific programs and access to vocational programs (U2009/5552/G) and thereby understand the potential impact of the new transformation of the current individual program and what it brings to the students who do not achieve the objectives in grade 9. We have used a qualitative text analysis method. The background to the study describes in particular today's individual program, view of knowledge and view of learner. The result shows that the most prominent in the memorandum is that knowledge is divided into theory and practice, that individualization is the focus and the text shows freedom for interpretation..
