The purpose of the project was to examine whether and how BRIO in the future could develop toys around sound for Toddlers.The problem formulations that would be answered after completion of the project was "How could BRIO broaden its product range with the help of audio toys?", "How can you combine toys and sounds in an interesting way for children?", "How do you create a toy with sound that is fun for the child, but not annoying for parents?". Currently BRIO only has two toys with sound in this age group.The expression of the toy was going to be a mix of classic and cool and the overall feeling of the toy was going to be explorative and arouse curiosity in the child. This feeling would be communicated through simplicity and joy.

Den här uppsatsen undersöker alternativ till dyra inspelningar av trummor genom att visa hur man kan göra egna truminspelningar med bara en mikrofon, ett DAW och vanligaföremål som finns i hemmet. Undersökningen går in på ett djupare tänk kring hur man med olika lager kan forma sina egna trumljud med ett fåtal hjälpmedel för inspelning ochbearbetning. För att omsätta mitt tänkande kring olika lager i trumljud har jag tagit fram tretrumsound inom tre genre: Popsoul, house och indiepop. Resultatet säger att dessa trumsetvisar sig vara användbara i popmusik från ett kreativt perspektiv, då popmusik tillåter mer bredd i trumljuden. Uppsatsen kommer också fram till att det ekonomiska värdet i att göra egna trumljud sjunker något, då färdiga samplingar går snabbt och är billiga att använda..

The object for this study is a company developing and manufacturing vehicles for heavy transportation. The company distributes their products on a global market. Therefore the company is required to have efficient internal production development processes in order to successfully Beat the competition. The purpose of this master thesis is to study how this particular company intends to implement their standardized theoretical product development process within their organization and how well it is done. We intend to identify and specify if the process has any unexploited capacity.

Two branches of Islam who belief that Islam is the only right path to take for issues surrounding gender and life. Title: How do music students with different genre backgrounds perceive the same music? In this paper I report a study about how music students with different genre background perceive the same music. I let twentyone classical music upper secondary school pupils and twentyone rock music upper secondary school pupils listen to ten short music pieces of different character and styles. While listening, they were asked to answer four questions about which instruments they could perceive, what they could tell about pulse, rhythm and Beat in the music, which component they thought was the most important in the piece and what word they thought best described the feeling of the piece. All four questions had to be answered for each piece of music to facilitate analysis of differences connected to genre background in those answers.

Recently, retailers within the Swedish grocery retail sector have launched lines of products under its own brand, quite often produced by manufactures within the same category of products. The common term of this phenomenon is called private labels. Therefore, private labels could be seen as competitors against branded goods, despite the fact that it is, in several cases, the same manufacturer who produces each of the products.The main purpose of this study is to provide understanding of how the manufacturers choose to position themselves, formulate their strategies and compete on the market among private labels, also to examine the motive behind the manufacturer's choice to produce private labels. The study intends to provide a broader view of how the interaction between manufacturers, retailers, private labels and branded goods appears on the Swedish market. We decided to use a qualitative research method and personal interviews to approach the study.

Babies born prematurely are deprived of normal sensorimotor stimulation when placed in an artificial environment, the incubator. The aim of this project was to design a series of products that could promote the baby?s emotional and neurological development, and to facilitate parental bonding. The products designed in this project has a theoretical basis on the research available today on cognitive and emotional development in children born prematurely. They were developed in close cooperation with a group of parents and nurses in a neonatal intensive care unit.Presence is a product collection for developmental care, consisting of a mattress, a figure and a necklace. Very often we are likely to hear how important it is as adults to help small children and pupils out of bullying situations, both for the bullied one and the bully. What we often tend to forget is that bullying situations among adults are as common as the ones children put up with. På senare år har vi sett enpolitisk strävan mot ett utökat inslag av kommersiella lösningar inom den militära strukturen.Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka om en sådan förändring kan komma att påverkainsatsorganisationens förmåga att leverera avsedd operativ effekt. Undersökningen tar sin ansats ipersonalens förtroende för militära kontra privata koncept. Med stöd i traditionell militärteori,systemteori och professionsteori genomförs en enkätundersökning i avsikt att utvärdera om det gåratt finna ett samband mellan förbandets förmåga att avge avsedd effekt och personalens förtroendeför en stödorganisation som de i en utsatt situation står i beroendeställning till.Den övergripande slutsatsen är att detta samband mellan förtroende för stödorganisationen ochförbandets förmåga kan påvisas. Likaledes påvisar undersökningen ett högre förtroende för etttraditionellt militärt förhållningssätt inom logistikorganisationen i samband med en militär insatsän för kommersiella lösningar.

Purpose: The main purpose of the thesis is to examine the profitability of Momentum Strategies on the Nordic stock markets. This will provide insight and contribute to the debate on efficient markets. Finding profitable Momentum Strategies will provide strong evidence of inefficiency in the market. A secondary purpose is to examine factors which might cause or impact the profitability of the Momentum Strategy. We will look closely at the relationship between the profitability and factors such as risk (CAPM-beta), market capitalization, trading volume and seasonality.

The aim of this project was to quantify the total sleep time in modern dairy cows during24-hour periods and to investigate whether the total amount of sleep as well as timespent in different sleep stages varies between the dry period, early- and peak lactation.The distribution of sleep time between night and day was also examined. Furthermore,correlations between sleep and lying time, fluctuations in body temperature and heartBeat were included in the aim. Eight dairy cows of the Swedish Red breed were used inthis study, which was carried out between June and September 2010. In order toquantify sleep non-invasive electrophysiological recordings were performed.Simultaneously with collecting sleep data, body position and body temperature werealso recorded. No heart rate data was obtained due to difficulties of maintainingelectrodes for heart Beat measurements attached to the skin.
