The aim of this Master?s thesis is to examine the image of the man in Swedish crime fiction. Gender theory based uponRobert W. Connell theoretical framework which discusses masculinities in plural is used. The method used is idea analysis and my supply for analyse is constructed on thebasis of Connell?s four ideal types regarding masculinity.The material in the investigation comprises of five novels published in Sweden 2007.The investigation reveals the complexity in forming masculinities; traditional male values remain mostly intact, but at the same time men must deal with emotions andrelations with women in a world where the male norm often is questioned.

I dagens konfliktområden är förekomsten av minor och oexploderad ammunition(OXA) ett vanligt förekommande problem för civilbefolkning samt de militära enheter som arbetar i området för att skapa stabilitet och säkerhet. Den här uppsatsen avhandlar möjligheten att lösa eventuella problem som har att göra med förekomsten av minor och OXA i ett missionsområde utan tillgång till stödresurser i form av min- och ammunitionsröjningsteam. Uppsatsens syfte är att undersöka om det är möjligt att tillföra minröjningskompetens på gruppnivå utan att tappa ursprunglig kompetens och fokus från huvudtjänsten. Uppsatsen tar även upp vilken lägsta nivå av utbildning som krävs för att kunna röja mineringar och OXA, samt hur man når upp till det målet. Uppsatsens frågeställning har varit: Går det att inom ramen för Jägarbataljon 09 utbilda en soldat som besitter kompetensen att kunna identifiera och röja mineringar samt OXA? Om ja, vilken utrustning bör tillföras? Mina slutsatser är att det är praktiskt möjligt genom att tillföra en min- och amröjledare på bataljons nivå.

These agendas will be analyzed from the point of view of lobbying, corporatism, influencing of public opinion and the theory of curriculum, to find out what impact they have on the Swedish school system.

The purpose of this essay is to investigate why the two Swedish municipalities of Frykerud and Östmark were the only municipalities in Värmland that were forcibly merged by the state during the ?Municipality block reform? of 1971, and whether local identities played a role in the resistance against this reform.     The study is designed as a comparative case study and builds on both history and political science to analyze the topic from a broader perspective. Based on the research situation three theoretical theses have been formulated, the durability of which will be tested in the analysis part of the essay.    The study notes that Frykeruds resistance against the ?Municipality block reform? started when the reform prevented a planned retirement home construction in the municipality. In 2011, I and fellow student at Gotland University created a multimedia game. To fit the time constraints a ?vertical slice? was created. This means a small sample of the game is taken which allows the user to understand how the game works, and at the same time, get a visual demonstration of how the game is designed. The goal of the project was to create a narrative for stadium games in which the backstory is told as players interact with their surroundings.

I denna uppsats har jag valt att skriva om unga kvinnors tankar kring karriär, familjeliv och identitet. Dessa ämnen är saker som jag tror att de flesta upplever eller har upplevt att det finns många tankar och frågor kring, och jag vill genom min studie ge dessa kvinnors bild av hur man får livspusslet att gå ihop och hur tankar kring identitet, karriär och familjeliv kring detta kan se ut. Jag kommer att skriva om detta utifrån två synsätt, dels från det individuella planet, där jag utgår från mina intervjuer och berättar om mina informanters tankar, dels ur ett bredare perspektiv där jag sätter informanternas berättelser i ett större samanhang, men fokus på unga människors situation i Sverige..

Syftet med denna uppsats är att ge läsaren en förklaring till varför två stridande förband inom Försvarsmakten (FM) nyttjar olika indelning på gruppnivå. Uppsatsen skall dessutom redovisa fördelar och nackdelar som förekommer med respektive indelning. Ämnet till uppsatsen uppstod på grund av en strävan från Försvarsmakten att kunna nyttja behovssammansatta stridsgrupper. FM fastställer order och kommandon, försöker likställa vapensystem och utbud av ammunition och i övrigt använda samma materiel i syfte att förenkla fördelning och logistik av all materiel. Trots denna strävan förekommer det olika indelning på gruppnivå.

The main aim of this study is to examine the political debate in Sweden around a potentionalcriminalization of buying sex abroad. A second additional aim is to analyze the debate from anintersectional feminist gender perspective, by bringing attention to ideas about gender, ethnicity andpower expressed in the empirical material.The questions at issue are:What are the arguments for and against the potentional criminalization of buying sex abroad andwhich central discursive battles can be discerned throughout the debate?What impact do ideas about gender and power have on the construction of a general advocatediscourse versus a general antagonist discourse?The methodological point of departure is Critical Discourse Analysis, drawing on the theories ofNorman Fairclough, Ernesto Laclau and Chantal Mouffe. The empirical material consists of 27articles and editorials publicized in Swedish newspapers between January 2011 and November2014.The result shows that the polemics manifested in the debate are based on different ideas aboutgender, ethnicity and power. A crucial discursive battle stands between human rights andinternational law as a superior principle.

The purpose of this essay was to study how surroundings form young peoples gender and where gender patterns are maintained. This was done by interviewing 12 students from two advanced classes at a comprehensive school in a small town in the southern parts of Sweden. The students where divided into four groups. Two groups with three boys in each, and two groups with three girls in each. We used R.W.

Syftet med studien var att undersöka personers upplevelser av att ha varit tvångsomhändertagna enligt LVU som barn. Detta har genomförts med en kvalitativ ansats där fyra kvinnor intervjuades med stöd av en utarbetad intervjuguide. Denna täckte frågeområdena bemötande, skolgång, relationer och identitetsskapande. Resultaten tolkades utifrån livsmodellen, som är en del av den ekologiska systemteorin, samt utifrån kognitiv teori. De mest framträdande resultaten var att informanterna sällan känt sig hörda i utrednings- eller beslutssammanhang vilket medförde att deras åsikter sällan tagits i beaktande.

Moldova is one of Europe?s poorest countries with a struggling business environment and an unpredictable political situation. The purpose of this thesis is to understand the implications of corruptions and why networks have come to play a key role in the Moldovan culture and if the formations of network are due to heritage or an effect of functionalism. The focus of the study is also to explain how the networks develop and the formation and maintenance of loyalty and trust among the members of the network. The study is of a qualitative nature that uses a key informant sampling method to get access to members of different business networks.

This essay examines the debate that arose in connection to the sale of Carl Larsson?s monumental painting Midvinterblot in 1987. My main purpose is to examine which meanings the debaters ascribed Midvinterblot and in which way the debate influenced the paintings significance as cultural heritage. I will therefore argue that the debate initiated a renegotitation of the paintings meaning as cultural heritage. In the debate the debaters emphasized the National Museum?s responsibility over cultural heritage, Midvinterblots aestethic, the paintings economic value and its national implications.

Syftet med arbetet är att undersöka om DN:s och SVT:s medierapportering kring den väpnade konflikten som ägde rum mellan Georgien och Ryssland över utbrytarregionerna Abchazien och Sydossetien i augusti 2008, har uppfyllt de krav på mångsidighet och objektivitet som förväntas av svenska medier utifrån de åtagangen som medierna har tagit. Vår studie baseras på kvalitativa metoder i form av en kritisk diskursanalys av fem artiklar i DN och fem nyhetsinslag från SVT:s Aktuellt utifrån mistankens hermeneutik. Våra analyser visade att medierapportering har i många fall inte uppfyllt de krav på mångsidighet som exempelvis SVT åläggs att förmedla genom Tillståndet att sända television. Även DN har i många fall utmålat Ryssland som den enda parten ansvarig för konflikten och dess resultat. Individen har i den här frågan inte fått all den in formation som behövs för att själv skapa sig en egen uppfattning om konflikten..
