This is a thesis about The Eight Circuit Model, a modern mind map developed for the purpose of illumination and enlighenment by Dr. Timothy Leary in the 1970s. Later, authors such as Robert Anton Wilson and Antero Alli elaborated upon the idea to make it more wholesome and compatible with other ideas expressing the same basic principle. In short, it is an intellectual abstraction of the evolution of consciousness through a series of eight stages, which Leary called Circuits. By looking at the brain as an evolving bio-computer, with thoughts working as software, upgrading itself through neurological imprints, Learys created a Hero's Journey for the modern age.The thesis tries to analyze this idea, as it is presented in Robert Anton Wilsons Prometheus Rising, through the lens of the discourse category ?Western Esoterism.? A hard-to-define subject but described as ?the dialectic of the hidden and the revealed in the field of religion.?.

Denna enkätstudie kartlägger hur individer resonerar kring mental träning utifrån deras idrottsliga bakgrund och erfarenheter. 91 kvinnor och 99 män i åldern 18 till 51 år deltog.

The question about timesaving could not be answered, because the values were scattered and could not be used for further investigation. The observed values were accumulated by a survey and the result indicated that safety officers did not experience the two regulations as administrative burdens.

The fundamental freedoms and human rights is something the countries, and its citizens, of theEuropean Union more or less take for granted. However, in recent years these rights have become atopic of discussion in the way that a debate about the Islamic headscarves has developed. Thisdebate has resulted in that a number of countries, including France, have taken legislative measuresto ban clothing that fully covers ones face. Out of these bans a discussion has arisen concerning thefundamental freedoms and human rights. These burqa bans, as it is labeled in the pubic debate, havebeen accused to wrongfully limit the individuals freedoms and human rights.This study therefore has the aim to analyze these burqa bans in relation to the European Union,United Nations and the Council of Europe?s general declarations concerning the fundamentalfreedoms and basic human rights.The main result of this study shows that these bans in fact is not a proportionally restrict in thefundamental freedoms and human rights.

The purpose of this study has been to create a communication plan to use at the launch of an independent fashion store and give a current storeowner an overall picture concerning which communication aspects to use during his ongoing business. To fulfill our purpose we have targeted one important question, which is:   Which communication fields are the most important to use, when you are about to launch an independent fashion store.  For this study we have used a qualitative approach in which we have conducted eleven personal interviews with people who has a strong understanding in communication regarding to this type of business. Most of our respondents are currently working actively with communication because they are active in retailing.The remaining respondent has a strong experience in the field of communication. Men abuse women every day. It has become a Health Problem which we affects all of us. Help is available for those women who have the strength to seek it. Health care personnel are often these women?s only contact with the surrounding world.

Background:Persons living with a mental illness often have to put up with a financial disadvantage. Their ability to work is often limited and because of that they have to rely on the welfare reform to get an income. This income is often low compared to other citizens which by itself is something strongly associated with mental illness. Purpose: The purpose in this study was to describe how people living with a mental illness experience that their economic situation has an impact on their daily life. Method: This study is a literature review containing nine scientific articles from previous research.

SammanfattningSyftet med studien var att undersöka den arbetspsykologiska vinsten i form av kontroll, stress och arbetstillfredsställelse av en utbildningsinsats med skiftlagsutveckling. En enkätundersökning genomfördes på ett stort industriföretag i Mellansverige. Totalt 65 personer svarade på enkäten, indelade i de som deltagit (experimentgrupp) och de som inte deltagit (kontrollgrupp) i utbildningen. Resultatet visade att experimentgruppen jämfört med kontrollgruppen skattade sin kontroll över arbetshastigheten högre. Likaså ansåg sig experimentgruppen bättre kunna förutsäga resultatet av sina beslut i arbetet än kontrollgruppen.

I dagens västerländska samhälle finns ett kroppsideal som påverkar unga kvinnors inställning och attityd till den egna kroppen. Kroppsidealet ställer krav på att kvinnan ska vara slank, solbränd och vältränad. Dessa ideal kan medföra att individen ej förmår att acceptera sin kropp. Syftet med denna enkätstudie var att jämföra unga kvinnors kroppsattityder beroende på utbildningsinriktning. Studien genomfördes med en enkät som innehöll Body Attitude Test (BAT) och Figure Rating Scale (FRS).

Teachers in social sciences have a broad subject field to base their education on. This term paper examines, thru interviews, which factors that have an influence on the subjects contents in the A course of Social Sciences at Swedish high schools. Having interviewed four active teachers at three different schools, it shows that control documents like subject- and national curricula have little to say about what kind of subject that should been taught. Teachers seem rather to rely on local collegiate consensus, the textbook, locally prepared control documents, and adjusting to program directions while choosing material. In the final discussion the risk of structuring the subject around the text book is being investigated, along the fact that new locally control documents need to be written even for basic planning structures.

With increased globalization more companies are sending their employees abroad in order for the company?s survival on the market. Many studies in the field of International Business describe unsuccessful foreign assignments and the importance of intercultural support regarding expatriation. Due to the fact that company X is an international organization we found an interest in studying how the company handles their expatriation process in Sweden. This became the purpose of our study.
