In a competitive market as supermarkets, hundreds of the same products fight for attention in the shops. Every day thousands of targeted advertising messages is given to us. As a natural result of all this, power is transferred to consumers. You can no longer differentiate yourself by only price and function, thus companies must play on the emotional aspects and create a relationship with consumers. A key to success is to understand people's emotional needs and then satisfying them.In various journals and papers you can find highlighted success stories of strong brands such as Harley-Davidson, Apple and Virgin Airlines.

The fertility of the North Swedish horse was investigated using a questionnaire. Data concerning altogether 73 North Swedish stallions and 213 mares used for breeding during the season 2005 were collected and analysed. The survey also included the analyses of 305 breeding case books, especially distributed for this study, from 27 stallions. The aim was to collect information on how the breeding was carried out in the North Swedish horse, and to learn what categories of mares that were covered and what routines were used in these farms. Breeding statistics from 1999 to 2004 was also analysed to complete the questionnaire.

Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att beskriva vilka omvårdnadsåtgärder som kan förebygga uppkomsten av trycksår samt vilken förmåga att identifiera patienter som riskerar att utveckla trycksår sjuksköterskan har med de bedömningsinstrument som finns. De vetenskapliga artiklarna (n = 20) som ingick i studien söktes via Högskolan Dalarnas databaser Blackwell Synergy, PubMed och ELIN@Dalarna. Sökorden som användes i olika kombinationer var pressure sore, pressure ulcers, nursing, routines, treatment, knowledge, methods, management, measures, risk assessment, scales, risk patients och prevention/preventing. Inklusionskriterierna var att de skulle vara empiriska, skrivna på svenska eller engelska samt vara publicerade efter 1997. Resultatet visade att det finns många olika förebyggande åtgärder som vidtas.

Background and problem: In March 15, 2009, the third piece of money laundering directive was introduced which mean a more strict legislation in control against money laundering and terrorist financing. The directive is based on a risk based point of view which means that the resources should be used where the needs are. The responsibility for financial companies and other parts are bigger then before which means that they have to get a more extensive customer knowledge etc. It has however been appeared that the directive in some cases lack of precision and clarity which creates an insecurity among those who are included by the law. Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to examine which consequences the third piece of money laundering will bring on the banks customer relationships and how the employees work assignments at the banks will be affected. The authors also want to examine how the extension of money laundering will be affected and clarify if there is any indistinctness about how the application looks around the banks.Method: The authors choose to use a qualitative method and the empiric material has been collected through personal meetings, telephone interviews and through e-mail answers. Conclusion: The majority sees the third piece of money laundering directive as something positive which will protect both the banks and their customers.

Syfte och FrågeställningSyftet med studien är att undersöka motocrossförares förberedelse inför tävling och deras uppfattning av en topprestation under tävling.De frågor som jag sökt svar på är: Hur ser förarna på balansen mellan utmaning och skicklighet utifrån sin förmåga? Vilka mål har förarna inför en tävling och vilken feedback får förarna under tävling? samt hur förarna upplever sin topprestation?MetodStudien har en kvalitativ ansats med semistrukturerad intervju som metod (Bryman 2008 s. 206). I studien ligger tonvikten på att uppfatta och tolka förarens förklaringar. Intervjuerna spelades in, transkriberades och analyserades, till största del, utifrån flowteorin.

Essän handlar om samlingen i förskolan där jag har utgått från ett dilemma där ett barn blir utskickad från samlingen för att hen inte kan sitta still och behålla fokus. Då jag betraktar denna situation utifrån börjar jag reflektera kring om det är rätt av oss pedagoger att utesluta barn från samlingen. Jag börjar ifrågasätta om samlingen är meningsfull för alla barn och varför vi har samling. Jag blir nyfiken på hur synen på samlingen utvecklat sig i den svenska förskolan från 1830-talet och fram till nu och om barn ska delta mot sin vilja? Mitt syfte med min essä är att ta reda på om jag anser att samlingen är viktig.

To get a good economy on the dairy farms the fertility control of heifers and cows is a crucial factor. It is also important to know which key parameters that should be tracked. In this work well established routines for heat detection have to be applied. When the dairy farmers use technical aid in estrus control it is important not to forget that technical aids can not replace the human eye. Approximately 50 % of all opportunities to inseminate are missed because clear signs of estrus have not been displayed and/or recorded. The cattle fertility has been declining over recent years. During the same time the cow?s proceeds have increased, consequently applying a higher pressure on the cow and the manager.

The purpose of this scientific essay is to evaluate if a continuous glucose monitoring system is something that can benefit Swedish animal health care. The study investigates if it is medically possible to use continuous glucose monitoring systems on dogs with an apparatus attached to their bodies. Furthermore, I try to establish whether this is possible in practice and how it could be done. The keywords used were diabetes mellitus, insulin, continuous glucose monitoring, blood glucose monitoring, dog, pet owner and animal nursing care. Furthermore, I wanted to find out if this system could be an alternative to currently established methods to measure the patient?s blood glucose level.

The aim: was to describe and compare a group of experts and critical care nurses' agreement in detecting delirium in intubated, ventilator treated patients with sedation / analgesia, before and after an in house training intervention with the instrument Confusion Assessment Method for the Intensive Care Unit (CAM-ICU).Method: A quasi-experimental study, one group pretest - posttest design. A convenience sample of 17 critical care nurses in a general intensive care unit included. To detect delirium the instrument CAM-ICU was used, 21 paired tests before and 22 after an educational intervention.Main Results: The results showed that after an in house training intervention sensitivity and kappa coefficient improved of the characteristic 1 "acute onset and fluctuating course," an improvement that was significant. In other features, and overall values were signs of numerical improvement and deterioration in sensitivity, specificity and kappa coefficient but no significant change.Conclusion: Implementing a new instrument for detecting delirium in clinical practice requires education and follow-up. A small sample of critical care nurses with varying ability to use the new instrument and the fact that patients' status may change rapidly making it difficult to draw any conclusions from this study.

Focus on processes and continuous improvement is something that characterizes Lean Production which ICA logistics are applying with their concept Leading Logistics. Standardized routines for handling damaged gods were insufficient at the ICA distribution center in Kungälv. Handling and registration of damaged gods were not performed uniformly, resulting in problems with controlling and monitoring the process.The purpose of this thesis was to analyze and make recommendations how the process of internal handling of damaged gods could be improved. Therefore a comprehensive understanding was needed of the entire material flow through the warehouse and important quality aspects such as product safety and delivery reliability.The methods used are literature reviews, interviews and observations to produce a comprehensive process mapping of the current situation at the distribution center.

AbstractPurpose/Aim: In my essay I study the use of Internet with information overload as my perspective. I compare two age groups in order to find out whether there is a difference between generations in how they use the Internet and experience the vast amount of information that is found on the net.Material/Method: I gather information from six frequent World Wide Web users to find out whether they are experiencing information overload when using the Internet in their spare time and how they structure and make sense of the vast amount of information that is found on the net. I use semi-structured interviews to gather qualitative, not quantitative, material for my study. I have also used literature and websites on information overload, the Internet, and connected themes in order to get a broader picture of the subject and help me analyse the material.Main results: The main results of my study are that frequent Internet users do not feel that they suffer from the vast amount of information found on the World Wide Web. They rather enjoy it and if they have heard the term information overload they assume that it does not apply to their use of the Internet.

InledningEn välsmakande och hygieniskt säker mat är viktig för patientens medicinska behandling och välbefinnande. Det ligger i sakens natur att man som patient ofta är svag eller nedsatt och därmed extra känslig för infektioner. Livsmedelshygien är på ett sjukhus en fråga om patientsäkerhet med temperaturen som den enskilt viktigaste faktorn. Brickdukning har som system för att distribuera maten inom ett sjukhus många fördelar men en nackdel är svårigheten att upprätthålla rätt temperatur. Mätningar på det studerade sjukhuset visade stora variationer och betydande avvikelser från tillåtna temperaturer, varför ett förbättringsprojekt genomfördes för att förbättra och stabilisera temperaturerna.SyfteFörbättringsarbetet studerades med syfte att beskriva de fenomen som den involverade personalen upplevt vara betydelsefulla för förbättringsarbetets resultat och hur patienternas upplevelse av maten förändrades under tiden för förbättringsarbetet.

Milk ejection in dairy cows can be inhibited if oxytocin is not released from the pituitary gland. The problem with inhibition of the milk let down is not new, but has recently regained interest. It is observed during different types of emotional stress, for example when cows are moved to an unfamiliar environment, during oestrus, changing from suckling to machine milking or when being milked for the first time. The aim of the study was to examine the extent of cows with disturbed milk ejection in Sweden. A survey was sent out to 1000 dairy farmers in order to collect data about herd size, housing systems and routines at calving and milking.

I denna studie har kärl-, körtel- och leukocytförekomst jämförts på olika djup i endometriet hos 27 tikar, 12 under tidig dräktighet (från dag 8-18) samt 15 under metöstrus. God kärlförsörjning är väsentlig under placentabildning hos tik för dels borttransport av degenererad maternell uterusvävnad, dels embryots näringsförsörjning. Det finns dock få studier om kärlförekomst i uterus under tidig dräktighet hos hund. Vid histologisk undersökning av endometriet sågs skillnad i totala antalet kärl i anslutning till ytepitel under tidig dräktighet dag 8-9 vid jämförelse med tidig och mitt-metöstrus, men för dräktighet dag 13-15 samt 18 kunde ingen skillnad påvisas. Generellt sågs lägre medelvärden för antal kärl i endometriet under tidig dräktighet jämfört med tidig metöstrus. Ingen skillnad avseende totala antalet kärl i ytlig respektive basal zon av endometriet kunde ses mellan de olika grupperna.

The aim of this paper was to study incoming complaints to The County Administrative Board in Västra Götaland during 2011 and examine if it was possible to see a connection between warranted and unwarranted complaints and informer, animal species and type of inadequate. In Västra Götaland, a complaint is classified as warranted if the inspection leads to a reprimand, whether it regards what was reported or not. Data were collected during three weeks through The County Administrative Board´s record system Platina and a total of 456 complaints were studied. The parameter ?complainant? was categorized into four groups according to The County Administrative Boards own division; public with the subgroups anonymous and non-anonymous, animal health staff and others.
