Den folkliga koralen och ursprungsfrågan : Teori- och metodproblem, identitet och förståelse

The purpose of this study is to examine the medial depiction of Muslims in the case of Pastor Terry Jones' intention to burn the Quran. Our study is based on theoretical framework regarding an alleged clash of civilizations, how that leads to global conflicts and controls the world politics. It?s also based on the western way of characterize Muslims as violent, irrational human beings, and how mass media have a tendency to depict Muslims as ?the others?. The questions we aim to seek answers to are: How were Muslims portrayed in CNN's and Al-Jazeera's reporting regarding Terry Jones plan to burn the Quran? Which discourses exist about Muslims in each news channel and what are the main differences between them? The qualitative method used is a critical discourse analysis on empirical data consistently of twelve articles.

I will discuss Öijer's authorship in relation to literary traditions, such as orphic tradition, avant-garde and modernsim, surrealism and the outsider definition.

Anden nu och då : En jämförande studie av pneumatologin i Kyrkans Tidnings Eftertanke och pneumatologin i Luthers lilla katekes och Luthers stora katekes

The purpose of this essay is to analyse and compare pneumatology in Eftertanke in Kyrkans Tidning, in a Swedish evangelical Lutheran context, with pneumatology in Luthers Small Catechism and Luther's Large Catechism. Through a descriptive, inductive and hermenutical approach the essay intends to answer two main questions regarding how these sources 1) describe the character features and 2) the function of the Spirit. The conclusions of this essay show that the character features of the Spirit in Eftertanke differ from the catechisms in describing the Spirit with words connected to nature and life, while the catechisms only describe the Spirit as holy. The discussion that follows implies that the Spirit in the catechisms is depicted as more personal whereas Eftertanke depicts the Spirit more as an impersonal force. There are similarities in how both the catechisms and Eftertanke depict a dialectic relationship between human beings and the Spirit. However, they differ in function: in Eftertanke the Spirit is foremost a giver of life and a creator of positive emotions as well as a giver of guidance, while in the catechisms the Spirit is foremost a sanctifier.

Barns och pedagogers upplevelser av den fysiska innemiljöns betydelse i en förskola

Syftet med detta arbete är att försöka förstå hur barn och pedagoger upplever förskolans fysiska innemiljö i lek och lärande. Fokus har legat på barns- och pedagogers perspektiv utifrån genomförda kvalitativa intervjuer på en förskoleavdelning i en kommun i Norrland. Dessa intervjuer har jag sedan tolkat med en livsvärldsfenomenologisk ansats och med hermeneutiken som metod. Samtalen med pedagogerna har huvudsakligen handlat om miljöns pedagogiska konsekvenser, medan samtalen med barnen huvudsakligen inriktades på utformningen av miljön. De slutsatser jag tagit genom mitt arbete är att barn och pedagoger beskriver sin miljö på samma sätt, men uttrycker det på olika sätt.

Föräldraskap, vad är det? : en studie där lesbiska föräldrar som fått barn genom insemination står i fokus

Syftet med vår uppsats var att visa föräldrabegreppets mångfacettering och vi exemplifierade föräldraskapet genom att studera lesbiska föräldrar som fått barn genom insemination. För att uppnå syftet gjordes både litteraturstudier och kvalitativa respondentintervjuer. Studien hade ett socialkonstruktivistiskt perspektiv, rättsligt baserade perspektiv och ett visst barnperspektiv som teoretiska utgångspunkter. Dessa nyttjades även som analysverktyg och för att utforska motsägelserna i vårt material användes ett dialektiskt analysverktyg. Materialet analyserades enligt en ad-hoc metod.

In this study we have examined in which way the horse is used in Equine Assisted Therapy, and what effects the treatment staff experience and describes that the interaction with horses has on girls who self-harms. Our Empirical data was collected through qualitative methods such as interviews, participant observation and informal interviews with a total of six different informants, from five different activities with Equine Assisted Therapy for girls who self-harms. In the analysis we have assumed symbolic interactionism, a theory focusing on the human as a social being, where the self-image alters in the social interaction with other human beings. We interwove this theory with the Biophilia hypothesis, an explanatory model concerning human?s relationship to animals and nature.The conclusions we have found in the results are:Equine Assisted Therapy is a complementary treatment comprises both horseback riding and exercises which is not based on the horsebackEquine Assisted Therapy almost always involves three parts, the therapist, the client and the horse.

Ensam är stark, två är en riskgrupp : Representationer av homosexuella i svenska tryckta nyhetsmedier1987, 1997 och 2007

In our study we examined recurrent patterns and changes in the representation ofhomosexual persons in Swedish daily newspapers 1987, 1997 and 2007.We analysed articles about HIV-infected persons and articles with a view to portray thelife conditions of gay and lesbian persons from the three different years. We chose toonly analyze news articles that intend to represent real human beings, which mean thatwe did not analyze reports that only reproduce abstract knowledge from authorities.With analytical tools from semiotics and discourse analysis we identified some recurrentpatterns in the representation of homosexual people. We found that a recurrent pattern inthat when homosexual people are seen as groups, they are described as deviant,discriminated and some times as a threat. When portrayed as individuals the nonanonymouspersons appear in articles and pictures as normal, strong and healthy. Lesbianwomen are not represented in the articles from 1987, but in articles from 1997 and 2007they appear as unhappy when single and happy in a relationship.The results also showed some interesting differences in news representation ofhomosexual persons between the three investigated years.

AbstractThis study is a critical analysis of three different views on human dignity and its function in the discourse of human rights: that of Christopher McCrudden, Jürgen Habermas and Elena Namli. The three positions are interpreted, analyzed and compared in order to see which is most reasonable.The conclusion is that Habermas?s and McCrudden?s view of human rights as legal reduces human dignity to a legal concept. Namli?s perspective of human dignity as a moral principle generates a wider understanding of human dignity and its function.

Syftet med vår studie är att undersöka barns uppfattningar om förskolans regelverk sett ur barnens perspektiv. Vårt syfte kompletteras med frågeställningar om hur barn uppfattar regler, både de uttalade och outtalade, som finns på förskolan samt upplevelsen av att kunna påverka regelverket. Studien utgår från ett relationellt perspektiv och ur barns perspektiv. I tidigare forskning redogörs för relevant forskning och litteratur utifrån ämnesområdet. Vi har använt oss av en kvalitativ metod med triangulering via observation och intervju för att belysa våra forskningsfrågor ur flera perspektiv.

The main purpose for this study was to examine how boys with destructive and self-harming behaviour are perceived and comprehended by school counsellors and literature. The study assessed how boys who harm themselves are defined both in practice and in theory by using a social constructivist point of view and a gender perspective. The study was divided in two parts concerning gathering knowledge of the matter. The authors, using a method called qualitative semi-structured interviews, interviewed nine school counsellors. To acquire scientific knowledge, the authors implemented a literature review and researched books and journal articles regarding boys who self-harm.

Genealogin: kunskapen, moralen och subjektet : En undersökning av det genealogiska i Friedrich Nietzsches och Michel Foucaults arbeten

In the following essay I offer an analysis of the concept of genealogy in the works of Friedrich Nietzsche and Michel Foucault. The genealogical is illuminated as a critical approach, a period and a method. Taking as a point of departure Foucault?s description of genealogy as a historico-philosophical method, with which we can approach the question of how we constitute ourselves as human beings, by analyzing our ideas about knowledge, morals and the self as an acting subject, I go back to Nietzsche, from where Foucault derives his genealogical project. By analyzing how Nietzsche examines the three domains of genealogy, found in Foucault?s description ? knowledge, morals and the subject ? I thereby present a way to read, understand and use the works of Nietzsche, a reading of Nietzsche which at the same time brings out some of the core topics, offering a more profound understanding of Foucault?s genealogical project.
