During my final examination project, I have been working with a design process to develop a new set of candle lanterns for the company Sagaform AB. This company has a large and significant role on the Swedish interior design and retail market. The assignment was developed when the company stated that they would like to supplement and expand its existing range of products. The research and surveys I have done have helped me to create eight different concepts and one of them ready to compete with the existing candle lanterns on the market. The result of my concept proposal expected to be included in Sagaform?s 2013 spring catalogue. During the project I have developed 3D-rendered images, a physical model, and a solid foundation for making prototypes. The Balloon has an attractive design language that fits both every day and more festive events.

Studies show that some pupils with ASD (autism spectrum disorder) can have difficulties in understanding written texts. The present study seeks to examine whether pupils with ASD differ in their reading comprehension of a factual text and a literary text. Another aim of the study is to obtain a picture of the reading habits of high school pupils with ASD, what reading strategies they use, and how they work with texts in Swedish lessons in school.The study uses texts from PISA surveys from 2009 and 2000. The factual text Varmluftsballongen (The Hot-air Balloon) was taken from the try-out for the 2009 survey and the literary text Gåvan (The Gift) was taken from the 2000 PISA survey. To gain some idea of the pupils? reading comprehension of the texts, the present study used the tasks accompanying the texts, with certain changes in the questions about the text on the hot-air Balloon.

Syftet med denna examensuppsats, Balloon Wars & snapphanarna ? lärdomar av narrativt filmskapande i skolan, är att undersöka vad och hur eleverna (en årskurs 3-5) som deltog i skapandet av en narrativ, berättande spelfilm om snapphanetiden kan tänkas ha lärt sig av filmprojektet, och vilka tänkbara utvecklingsmöjligheter filmmetoden har i framtiden. Studien förankras i Vygotskijs tankar om den närmaste utvecklingszonen och att barn lär sig bäst tillsammans, i ett socialt samspel. Pedagogiskt drama och utvecklande rollekar är en stomme i uppsatsen, eftersom eleverna var aktiva som barnskådespelare i inspelningsfasen. Metoden faller inom ramen för aktionsforskning.
