The main purpose of this bachelor thesis is to create a product in the form of a database that can be used for cost estimates of equipment within bio refineries. Through interviews and literature searches the key components and their costs were identified. The database was constructed in Microsoft Excel with different tabs for different categories of components; these tabs are further divided into three parts: one part with costs, one part with calculations and an information part. Most of the part with costs contains the expenses found in scientific papers during the literature study, the calculating part converts different capacities according to user preferences and the currency to euro (?) from 2010 and the information part consists of references and information about what is included in the cost.The database is a good tool for making cost estimates for bio refineries.

AbstractThis is a thesis done in cooperation with the firm Somas and University of Karlstad. The project is an independent final examination part of the program in Innovation and DesignEngineering comprising 22.5 points, and performed by Mia Myrén Zreloff during spring term 2012. In parallel and collaboration, Fredrik Kjellin performs a similar job for the same company and with the same extent, but for the Program in Mechanical Engineering.The client and supervisor at the company have been Magnus Jansson and Anders Josefsson. At Karlstad University has technical supervisor been Hans Johansson, and in the design- and development process it was Monica Jakobsson. Examiner has been Fredrik Thuvander, professor in the Faculty of Technology and Science at Karlstad University.The mission has been to make a basis work for the company's own development and make a computational model to calculate, visualize and implement materials and other solutions in the manufacture of the company's ball valves.The project has undergone three major phases that included thorough study of the company, production, the problem and product.

When performing studies that test the reactions of horses in different situations, important information may be available about the horse?s reactivity level. With information from these tests, accidents and dangerous situations may be prevented. When the behaviours from tests are compared with race performance it may be possible to evaluate if some behaviours are more desirable at the race track than others. The aim of this study was to see if behavioural responses correlated with physiological parameters (heart rate, cortisol), the trainer?s opinions and actual race performance.

Den senaste kursplanen i idrott och hälsa betonar att friluftsliv ska vara en del av undervisningen. I samband med en flygande inspektion av skolinspektionen 2010 uppdagades det att olika bollsporter var det som förekom mest i idrottsundervisningen. Med detta i åtanke var undersökningens syfte att beskriva innehåll och omfattning i friluftsundervisningen i skolan, och om det fanns några skillnader beroende på om skolan ligger i en stats- eller naturmiljö. Undersökningens syfte var också att ta reda på elevernas uppfattning om vad friluftsliv är och deras inställning till friluftsliv. Undersökningen har en kvantitativ komparativ ansats och resultatet baseras på 76 enkäter.

Studien inriktar sig på att inventera vilka olika metoder som i dag finns på marknaden för hantering av skut. Utöver detta så har även en idéstudie gjorts för att ta fram förslag på hur LKAB eventuellt skulle kunna utforma en annan skuthanteringsanläggning. Idag hanteras skuten på produktionsområden på skutgaller som är beläget ovanför slasen och med en fjärrstyrd skutknackare på sidan. Gallret består av två öppningar med en balk mellan, måtten på vardera öppningen är 1,1x1,2 meter. För att ta reda på om potential finns för att ändra skuthanteringen i LKAB har data samlats in från fjärrlastningen om skutfrekvens, skutstorlek och andelen skut av malm i förhållande till gråberg.

This study aimed to investigate whether lambs show anticipatory behaviours in a holding pen prior to entering a known arena, whether the holding pen experience prior to the arena exposure affects their play expression in the arena and whether their behaviour (in home pen) is affected if arena access is denied. Twenty pair-housed male lambs (average 14 weeks old), were exposed, in chronological order, to five treatments. Holding pen treat-ment (HP-control): Each pair was led into a holding pen (2.7 m2) and remained there for 5 minutes before returning to their home pen (6 m2). Holding pen ? arena treatment (HP-A): Each pair was led into a holding pen for 5 min and then was allowed access into the arena (22 m2, containing two hanging chains, one ball and one platform) for 15 min before re-turning to their home pen.

My final essay is a design proposal for a schoolyard that pertains to the senses. The proposal consists of an illustration plan and this paper. The design proposal takes start in sense stimulation to create a varied environment. The title leads to the concept ?surprisingly predictable?.

Syftet med detta arbete är att få en bild av vilka faktorer som är mest betydelsefulla för att lära sig motoriska färdigheter i bollspel och koppla detta till lärandeteori. Finns det skillnader i uppfattning om man är nybörjare eller har erfarenhet från bollspel? Spelar kön och ålder någon roll? Vilken lärandeteori värderas högst? För att ge en bakgrund till problemställningen görs en genomgång av tidigare forskning och en beskrivning av två dominerande lärandeteorier, Generella motoriska programteorin och Dynamiska systemteorin med tillhörande didaktiska och motoriska begrepp inom lärande och bollspel. Frågor har ställts i enkätform till två olika undersökningsgrupper, dels 112 studenter från enheten Idrottsvetenskap vid Lärande och samhälle, Malmö högskola och dels 129 elever från grundskolan och gymnasieskolan i två mellanskånska orter. Undersökningsgrupperna har fått värdera faktorer som anses betydelsefulla för att lära sig motoriska färdigheter i bollspel.

AimThe aim of the study is to find out if, and in that case how, the sports movement creates and reproduces norms and values regarding sex and sexuality. Questions to be answered are: Which experiences do non-heterosexual women have of everyday activities in the Swedish sports movement? How are norms on sex and sexuality visible in practice? Are there mechanisms/practices that challenge these norms? Finally, the results are discussed in relation to two policy documents from the National Organization of Sports (RF); ?Sports Wants? and ?Policy and plan of action against sexual harassment and sexual discrimination within sports?.MethodSince the aim was to understand, and not to generalize and quantify, a procedure of qualitative interviews was chosen. Ten non-heterosexual women were interviewed concerning their experiences of the Swedish sports movement. They were active (or had recently been) at different levels in the following sports: basketball, soccer, floor ball, ice hockey, bandy and volleyball.

Detta examensarbete har bedrivits distribuerat vid Luleå tekniska universitet samt i Göteborg på konsultfirman Caran som ett produktutvecklingsprojekt. Uppdraget var att utifrån en kravspecifikation utveckla en testrigg för att utföra mätningar på däckfriktion mot vinterväglag, detta som en följd av att däcktillverkaren Michelin och Luleå tekniska universitet nyligen startat ett samarbete. Tanken med att utveckla testriggen är att avdelningen maskinteknik på Ltu, Luleå tekniska universitet, skall erhålla de grundliga kunskaper om hur ett däck fungerar med alla dess ingående parametrar för att sedan leda arbetet till nästa nivå. Examensarbetets mål var att utveckla en testrigg som möjliggör snabba tester av däck samtidigt som väglaget skall kunna karakteriseras. Syftet med att utveckla testriggen är att kunna utvärdera vilken typ av däck som passar bäst för det väglaget som råder för dagen och att finna sambandet mellan väglagets egenskaper t.ex.

Bakgrund och problem: EU har sedan år 2005 beslutat att alla noterade företag inom unionen ska tillämpa IASBs regelverk i koncernredovisning för att öka jämförbarheten i de finansiella rapporterna. IASB syftar till att harmonisera den internationella redovisningen men flera forskare bland annat D?Arcy (2006) menar att ett gemensamt regelverk inte är tillräckligt eftersom det är många faktorer som påverkar ett lands redovisning, bland annat den kulturella, politiska och ekonomiska miljön (Ball, Kothari & Ashok, 2000). La Porta et. al (1998) har gjort en omfattande klassificering av länders historiska ursprung med beaktande för vilken rättstradition ett land härstammar ifrån, samt vilket skydd som ges till investerarna.

Detta examensarbete har genomförts vid LKAB:s anrikningsverk i Kiruna, där produktionssektion 24 har studerats. Denna sektion maler tillsatsmedel, som används vid tillverkningen av pellets. Projektets fokusering har legat på att ta fram konkreta förslag på förändringar som kan förbättra styrningen av produktionen, uppnå en jämnare produktkvalitet och en bättre arbetsmiljö för personalen. Projektet började med en grundläggande studie av nuläget, för att kunna identifiera de problem som finns idag. Metoder som användes till denna studie var arbetsstudier, intervjuer, kontroller av produktkvalitén och studie- och benchmarkingbesök.

Företag kan använda sig av olika strategier för underhåll. Det kan vara avhjälpande underhåll som utförs först när ett fel uppkommer eller förebyggande underhåll. Ofta används en kombination av båda. Det förebyggande underhållet kan vara förutbestämt eller tillståndsbaserat. Fördelar med att använda sig av tillståndsbaserat underhåll är exempelvis att utbyte av enheter inte behöver ske i onödan utan först när en observation visar att ett fel är på väg att ske.

The subject of this project focuses on how Landscape Architects by their profession can explore and directly make a difference in the cityscape. This paper documents the process of art - based research practice. The purpose of installing temporary activities is to encourage people in the city to discover, participate and invite people to be more playful in the city. My experience of interaction in public spaces comes primarily from the education within landscape architecture, from site-specific art installations I have performed in different cities and from observations of landscape architecture, street art and urban life in the cities of Vienna, Berlin and Linköping. It is fascinating and inspiring to see how the urban space can invite and allow visitors to participate and therefore feel invited to the open space. As a landscape architect I wish to create urban spaces that are useful and inspiring for their visitors. The projects main question: How can you make temporary landscapes that encourage outdoorinspired activities at selected locations in the city? is answered by practice based research, an approach in which theoretical research are developed through practical experiments in the designing- and implementation process.
