Pivot - en aktiv sittmöbel för kontorsmiljö

The purpose of this project was to invite a changed perception of active sitting, to introduce a more active way of sitting in office environments and destigmatize an active sitting posture such as straddling by giving active sitting products conscious aesthetics based on environment and positive associations. The goal with this project was an active sitting product for office environments with aesthetics considered encouraging to movement in a relaxed way, regardless of age and gender, and connect to materials and aesthetics related to activity, experience and recreation. Horseback riding, retro style surfing and skateboarding was an entry of investigation. The project was based on existing active sitting products, their function and production techniques. It was not a part of the project to investigate new models of sitting.

Unga och arbetslösa : Upplevelser av ungdomsarbetslöshet i en bruksort

This thesis focuses on youth unemployment in Finspång, often referred as an industrial community. The theoretical framework of the thesis is based on social constructionism and covers theoretical discourse analysis, intersectionality and social capital. The study is based on qualitative interviews with 7 unemployed individuals between the ages of 19-24 and an interview with an employee at the employment office in the community. The main subject in this thesis is the youngsters experience with unemployment, labour, the employment office, the impacts of social capital and the labour market in the community. The analysis focuses in how the respondents discuss their experienced problems with their unemployment.

Öppen MjukvaruMigration : En studie om för- och nackdelar med en migration till öppen mjukvara

Denna uppsats behandlar en undersökning som gjordes efter det att en gymnasieskola i Örebro migrerat från Microsoft Office till Open Office. I studien undersöktes vilka för och nackdelar som lärare upplevde efter migrationen samt vilka problem som uppstod då öppen mjukvara används i en miljö som är dominerad av proprietär mjukvara.Det tillvägagångssätt vi valt är en metodtriangulering där vi samlat in data med hjälp av tre olika insamlingsmetoder, en litteraturstudie, kvalitativa intervjuer och en kvantitativ enkät. Dessa insamlingsmetoder utformades så att litteraturstudien var av bredare karaktär och leder till att intervjuerna blir av mer specifik karaktär som i sin tur ger oss kvantitativa frågor till enkäten.Det vi funnit under arbetets gång är att migrationen lett till interoperabilitetsproblem med existerande proprietära system och även att filer tolkats olika av de båda kontorspaketen. Lärarna såg större skillnader mellan de båda kontorspaketen är vad skolan och kommunen förutsett och tyckte att de mer avancerade funktionerna är svårare att använda i Open Office vi har även sett en efterfrågan utbildning..

Utveckling av en prototyp till ett ärendehanteringssystem

Under examensarbetet utfördes en undersökning och testning mot en nyutvecklad backend server för ett ärendehanteringssystem hos företaget Navigate Consulting. Syftet med testen är att utvärdera funktionaliteten som är nödvändigt för att skapa systemet, hitta eventuella flaskhalsar som kan uppstå vid utvecklingen samt utvärdera hur kommunikationen mot back-end servern fungerade i praktik.Kravet av testningen mot ärendehanteringssystemet var att det skulle vara i form av en prototyp som grafiskt kunde demonstrera hur funktionaliteten kunde implementeras samt att det var ett webbaserat gränssnitt som kunde köras på en Tomcat 7.0 server. Det beslutades att det grafiska gränssnittet och kommunikationen mot back-end servern skulle ske med Java EE.Kommunikationen mot back-end gjordes via JSON-RPC som är ett lättviktigt RPC som kommunicerar via http. Utvecklat speciellt för JavaScript kunde det dock anpassas för att användas med Java på servern.Examensarbetet genomfördes med nära kontakt med utvecklaren av back-end systemet. Regelbundna möten möjliggjorde att all funktionalitet som behövdes från prototypen fanns samt eventuella uppgraderingar på back-end servern kunde utföras..

Batterilös strömförsörjning av strömsnål granatelektronik

Detta examensarbete har utförts vid Saab Dynamics AB(SBD) i Karlskoga med syftet att studera gamla konstruktioner av set-back-generatorer. En set-back-generator (SBG) ska ge momentan energi vid utskjutning av en projektil genom att en magnet rör sig genom en spole. SBG har funnits länge men har bedömts ge för lite energi för att kunna driva elektronik. Men nya typer av magneter har potential att öka energiutbytet väsentligt.SBD har ett antal äldre SBG:er och arbetet har varit att utifrån dessa undersöka om det går att utvinna mer energi genom ett utbyte av magnet. Andra parametrar som är viktiga för en SBG:s funktion har också studerats och testats i olika konfigurationer i hopp om ytterligare förbättringar.

Arkitektonisk kvalitet med fokus på skönhet ? En fallstudie av hyresgästers betalningsvilja för skönhet i Garnisonen

In the Real Estate market there are a large number of commercial properties with offices. As acompany or business you are faced with many decisions when choosing your office space.This bachelor thesis examines the concept of architectural quality with focus on beauty and itsvalue for office tenants. The ambition is to find out if beauty is a decisive factor in theselection of office and if there is a willingness to pay for it.The selected question is studied in a case study of Garnisonen where tenants, a propertyowner and an architect are interviewed, all with connection to the examination object.Garnisonen is well suited as a case study because it is Stockholm's largest office complexwith buildings from three different architectural eras. Tenants in the survey represent allarchitectural styles and have different industry affiliation.As a theoretical framework a literature study is presented where the importance of beauty forthe individual, the built environment and society are treated, and also how the office can beused for branding purposes. The interviewees? views of beauty and their opinions on beauty atwork in Garnisonen are presented in the results.

This study deals with the complex phenomenon of occupational health. There is knowledge of how a good work environment should look like, but despite this, many employees experiences ill health in the workplace mainly in the form of neck and back pain. This study is a case study conducted in a high-risk workplace. The overall purpose was to describe and analyze the health situation of a specific company with neck and back problems. Mainly, eight interviews had been used as the data collection method, but additional observations had also been implemented.

Att identifera förändringsproblem vid processbaserad e-förvaltning

Denna studies syfte är att synliggöra vilket förändringsarbete som sker inom den kommunala verksamheten när organisationer går från en hieraktiskt organisationsstruktur till en processinriktidad organisation. Studien genomfördes i en svensk kommun och fallstudie användes som metod. Den data som samlades in bestod av intervjuer av individer involverade i projektet, dokumentation och egna observationer. Analysen som gjordes på fallstudien utgick från fyra olika förändringsperspektiv. Genom perspektiven kan djupare förståelse skapas för det som händer i en organisation i förändring.

Myndighetscentret ? En kvalitativ studie av myndigheters lokalbehov och en utveckling av ett kontorshotellskoncept

Aim: This paper aims to produce a serviced office concept adjusted to Statens fastighetsverk. The concept will make SFV:s properties more attractive for renting. Method: Information has been collected from interviews with 13 different serviced office companies, one serviced office agent and eleven government authorities. Also litterateur, reports and internet have been used in gathering information.I will use following questions:¨      How is the serviced office concept designed?¨      Which customer segment should SFV direct to and what need does the segment have?¨      How shall a marketing plan look like for the concept?¨      How should a concept designed for SFV look like? Result & Conclusions: Serviced office space is a company that letting functional workspace with access to shared facilities e.g. reception, office machines, internet, phone and more.

The demand of nature tourism is increasing and new ways to satisfy tourists are necessary.The goal with this report was to answer that demand by exploring the possibilities for backcountry skiing north of Torneträsk. This area was chosen because it is unexplored. This hasbeen succeeded by an extensive fieldwork. Aspects like topography, routes, slope angles andgeological places of interests where recorded. The results has shown that back country skiingis well suited for this area and poses no negative impact on the natural habitat.

Kalkylarbete för byggnadsprojekt med Vico Office : För- och nackdelar med 5D BIM

AbstractBuilding Information Model/Modeling/Management (BIM) is a tool that allows for efficient working methods. BIM saves time and money while providing the potential for visualization. This method of working is based on a 3D-model, and then a fourth and fifth dimension are connected. 5D modeling means that a spreadsheet creates cost estimates based on the 3D model. This provides opportunities to carry out calculations in the early stages of the projects. Calculations are currently performed manually and do not contribute to the development that the construction industry requires.

Energieffektivisering av modern tillbyggnad till äldre skola : fallstudie från Österbyskolan i Österbybruk

The Swedish government has introduced a goal to reduce the energy intensity by 20% to the year 2020. To reach this goal actions need to be taken throughout the energy sector which includes residential and commercial buildings. This thesis considers the possibility to reduce the energy usage in a building located close to Uppsala. The analyzed building is a combined office, cafeteria and entrance and was completed about half a year before this project started. Therefore the measures presented for a more energy efficient building are presented as measures for future constructions.Simulations have been made in VIP-Energy, a dynamic energy calculation program.

Today we spend a lot of time at our place of work. Changes in the Swedish labour market have caused illness for many people. This has contributed to that many people have been reported sick. The purpose with this study was to investigate and deskribe factors the staff, at a social insurance office, identify as important for health at a place of work. Ten employees at the social insurance office took part in the study.

Vägledning inom arbetsförmedlingen

The purpose of this study was to examine guidance activities in an employment office and to explain the significance these activities have for the job seekers' way towards an occupation. The method used was literature studies and qualitative interviews with respondents in three categories: a manager, two workingmediators and three job seekers, all at the same employment service office. The results that emerged was that there are different kinds of guidance in the employment service, both in the narrow sense and broad sense. The different categories of respondents describe and define the guidance activities in different ways and have different descriptions of how these activities can help job seekers into employment. The conclusions drawn where that the manager sees everything on the employment service as guidance, workingmediators differ in their roles as advisers and counselors.
