Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is about facing responsibilities towards a company?s employees, customers, stakeholders, suppliers and the environment. As customers and consumers came to seek companies that were dealing with CSR a rapid wave of ?forced? implementations of social responsibility began. Fair Travel Tanzania, which has CSR as the foundation of the company, says that they are transparent about what they do and how they give back to the locals, could it be a problem with this? And how do they actually give back to the locals? Is it possible to measure the impact of CSR activities within the company? And if so, how?.

Ett exempel är "Arboga-mamman", vars två små barn blev mördade, och som på nyhetsplats haft en egen dagbok från rättegången. Ett annat exempel är fallet då Engla, en 10-årig flicka blev mördad..

Syfte: Syftet med studien är att beskriva upplevelsen av en personligt skriven dagbok från tiden personen varit svårt sjuk och vårdats på IVA. Bakgrund: Att vårdas på IVA kan upplevas som skrämmande och okontrollerbart. Händelsen drabbar ofta utan förvarning och de vilka drabbas kan vara livshotande sjuka. Många minns endast delar av händelsen eller ingenting alls, de tappar tidsperspektiv och kan drabbas av mardrömmar och hallucinationer. Det finns ett samband mellan amnesi från IVA-tiden och försämrad livskvalitét och det är därför viktigt att dessa personer får information om vad som hänt.

Syftet med detta examensarbete var att undersöka hur ett elevaktivt arbetssätt med stort elevinflytande, fungerar i praktiken. Eftersom vi ville se hur elever i de tidiga skolåren klarar av att arbeta elevaktivt valde vi att arbeta med elever i år 2 i grundskolan. Gruppen bestod av 14 elever. Arbetet med eleverna bestod i att de fick välja ett ämne att fördjupa sig i och de fick själva bestämma hur de ville arbeta vidare med ämnet och hur de skulle redovisa det färdiga resultatet. Vi gjorde en kvalitativ studie med hjälp av enkäter, observationer och dagbok som informationshämtande metoder.

Syfte: Studiens syfte var att undersöka samband mellan hur universitetsstudenter skattar sin fysiska aktivitetsnivå och hur de registrerar aktivitetsnivå med hjälp av dagbok samt att se om de kom upp i ACSM (American College of Sport Medicine) och WHO´s (World Health Organisation) rekommendationer.Metod: Studien hade en icke experimentell, deskriptiv och korrelerande design där 26 försökspersoner, två män och 24 kvinnor, rekryterades via anslag. De fick först svara på en enkät och därefter registrera sin aktivitet via en 7-dagars aktivitetsdagbok.Resultat: Studenterna ansåg inte att de hade en stillasittande livsstil och alla deltagare utom en ansåg sig komma upp till ACSM´s rekommendationer av fysisk aktivitet 30 minuter per dag av måttlig intensitet alla dagar i veckan. Trettiofem procent kom inte upp i WHO´s rekommendationer och av dessa överskattade 67% sin fysiska aktivitetsnivå. Sextiofem procent kom inte upp i ACSM´s rekommendationer och av dessa överskattade 94% sin aktivitetsnivå.Konklusion: Studenterna hade en låg fysisk aktivitetsnivå utifrån ACSM´s rekommendationer och majoriteten av de som inte levde upp till WHO och ACSM rekommendationer överskattade sin fysiska aktivitetsnivå. Det krävs dock mer omfattande studier för att dra några generella slutsatser då denna studie hade en skev könsfördelning och ett lågt antal deltagare.Keywords: Self-estimation, Perception, Activity diary, Physical Activity level, Overestimation. .

Acupuncture has been used for thousands of years in China. Written documents concerning veterinary acupuncture has been found dated around 650 B.C. Acupuncture has gained greater acceptance in the western world the last decades and many countries have established their own veterinary acupuncture organizations. Many studies report good results after acupuncture treatment and back pain in horses is considered a good indication for acupuncture treatment. In studies published, the results are subjectively evaluated. To get a qualitative, scientific evaluation of acupuncture treatment, objective measurements, control groups and statistical analysis are needed. This pilot study presents a case where acupuncture has been used for treatment in a horse that was diagnosed with back pain.

Mobilnotifikationer är ett relativt nytt fenomen och mobilanvändare idag får allt fler notifikationer skickade till sig per dag. Hur de faktiskt påverkar användare, både sett till mobilanvändning och användarbeteenden, är fortfarande ett tämligen outforskat område. Denna studie utforskar hur mobilnotifikationer påverkar studenters upplevda stressnivåer och fokus under schemalagda skolaktiviteter. För att undersöka detta jämfördes en normal vecka med en vecka då notifikationer tystades med hjälp av stör-ej-funktionen i mobiltelefonen. Under denna period loggades mobilanvändningen och deltagarna fick föra en dagbok för reflektioner kring sitt beteende under dagen.

The main intention with this thesis is to investigate the relationship between dividends and investments. We hypothesize that firms may be forced to cut back on investments if dividends are not curtailed in times of poor annual earnings. According to contemporary theories, we argue that firms may be reluctant to cut back on dividends even when annual earnings decline and the level of investments will consequently be determined by the financial mobility of companies. The survey is carried out by means of a quantitative analysis, which includes all firms quoted on the exchange of Stockholm from 1980 through 2000. On the contrary of previous research, we conclude that even firms with high dividends can be forced to curtail investments if payouts to shareholders are maintained or increased when companies are faced with a decline in annual earnings..

The main focus of this study is to explore Swedish soldiers? experiences of the transition back to everyday life after international service missions. This includes the help and support that they have received and also what barriers to care they have experienced during the transition back to everyday life. The theoretical perspectives of this study are social identity and stigma theory. This study was performed using a qualitative method and includes six individual interviews with active duty officers within the Swedish armed forces.

The aim of this study was from the beginning to examine why a woman who has made an abortion comes back for another one. Why does the risk taking continue, despite the fact that abortion is perceived as emotionally hard? How can this be understood? This study consists of a literature review and semi-structured interviews. I wanted to interview women who had made a decision to have a repeated abortion, but it was difficult to get that kind of interviews. I then decided to interview the staff who meets women searching for an abortion to have their attitudes and experiences of women coming back for another abortion.

The purpose of the study was based on scientific literature to describe the quality of life of persons who have undergone a total hip replacement. The method was a descriptive literature review. The results showed that pain was the most obvious change after surgery. Mild pain before surgery was strongly associated with mild pain after surgery. But despite less pain were experienced early, it took 1 year to achieve the full benefits of improved physical function.

Should I/we move abroad or not? This is a question that surely many of today?s expatriate Swedes asked themselves and was probably largely debated by most. How does is feel to move back to Sweden? I have chosen to contact a number of expatriate Swedes and some that have returned, in order to receive answers to these questions.The aim with this thesis is to study the experiences and thoughts of people living in a different country as to were they were born and also those of people returning to Sweden. I have used a hermeneutic analytical method alongside a socio-psychological identity perspective when I studied the replies of my 69 respondents.

Syfte: Syftet med denna undersökning har varit att studera hur elevers förståelse för ämnet matematik påverkas av att skriva en reflektionsdagbok där de även får återkoppling inför nästa lektion. Den teoretiska inriktningen som författaren Lisa Björklund Boistrup representerar är socialsemiotik och fokuserar på tre metafunktioner med beteckningarna interpersonell, ideationell samt textuell. Den teoretiska inriktning som författaren John Hattie utgår från är Jean Piagets utvecklingspsykologi när han diskuterar vikten av att lärare förstår hur elever tänker och lär.Metod: Den valda metoden har en kvalitativ ansats och är inspirerad av aktionsforskning.

The purpose of the study is to investigate into professional knowledge of the bilingual teachers, compared to monolingual, and what benefits they give to pre-school. Qualitative method was used to get an understanding of informant´s perspective on bilingual teachers. The informants believe that bilingual teachers are able to understand all the children. A bilingual teacher can make the children feel secure. If one has a positive attitude toward bilingualism, the bilingual children also show a positive attitude that in turn contributes to learning and development of the language..

The purpose of this study is to describe the motivations of women to participate in politics and to examine whether women feel that they are held back by something in their political participation. The questions of this study are:How do women motivate their participation in different fields in politics?Are there any obstacles that are holding women back in their political participation? Interviews have been used as the method to gather the empirical data. When applying the theoretical framework on the empirical material the main conclusion is that women tend to participate more frequently in political activities that are less time consuming and more sporadic in comparison to more traditional forms of political participation.
