The aim of the study is to examine ideas surrounding copyright law and related rights appearing in the referral statements that the participants of the library sphere gave to the department writ Ds 2003:35. These ideas reflect the positions the library sphere take regarding issues surrounding the copyright law and related rights. The department writ was preceded by a directive from the European Union; Directive 2001/29/EC of the European parliament and of the council of 22 may 2001 on the harmonization of certain aspects of copyright and related rights in the information society. The writ Ds 2003:35 was later followed by a proposition from the government which was co-herent with the preceding writ. The empirical material has been analyzed with a starting point in the polarizations, artist/audience, private/public and original/copy, presented in PhD Martin Fredriksson?s book Skapandets rätt.

Klimatförändringar och miljöproblem är i dag betydelsefulla frågor på den politiskadagordningen. Hur medierna rapporterar i ämnet kan på olika sätt påverka människorskunskap och åsikter i frågan. I denna uppsats undersöks huruvida fyra av Sveriges största tidningar ger en bild avatt klimatproblemen går att förbättra eller ej, samt vilka aktörer som görs ansvariga för problemen och lösning av dem. De tidningar som undersöks är Dagens Nyheter, Svenska Dagbladet, Aftonbladet och Expressen. För att möjliggöra en jämförelse av ovanstående frågor över tid har artiklar från både 2003 och 2013 undersökts.

The purpose of this thesis is to investigate the democratization process in Kurdistan on the basis of consolidation democracy with focus on arenas defined by Linz and Stepan (1997), namely economic, political, legal, civil society and arenas of state bureaucracy. Furthermore, I intend to explain Kurdistan?s road toward democratization in Kurdistan from 1991 until today, with a focus on the years 2003-2012. The main results are that Kurdistan has developed conditions that support a future consolidation of democracy. However, there are weaknesses in the economic situation, rule of law and the arena of bureaucracy.

The Swedish public service TV broadcasting company, Sveriges Television (SVT) advertises itself as purveyor of free television, without commercial or political interference. A B-level essay, written some years ago, showed that the SVT policies were not always observed throughout the entire organisation. The aim of this essay is, by using quantitative research, to study whether SVT is letting commercial interests have their say in the programmes by exposing brand names and logotypes.Material/method: The study is performed through examining 40 hours of television from SVT and 40 hours from TV4, as reference.

Den svenska arbetsmarknaden är som många vet könssegregerad, kvinnor och män arbetar inte bara inom olika arbetsområden utan det finns även skillnader i arbetstid och uttag av föräldraledighet. Jag har därför valt att undersöka om och hur att få barn har betydelse för individens arbetsförhållanden. De arbetsförhållanden som undersöks är om arbetet innehåller mycket arbetsresor, obekväma arbetstider och/eller övertid. Jag undersöker också om barn har betydelse för den upplevda inkomsten. Faktorer som arbetsresor, obekväm arbetstid samt övertid är sammanfattade i en indikator av faktorer som är svåra att kombinera med barn.

In this thesis I analyse and discuss what impact the 2003 U.S lead intervention in Iraq, had for the cooperation against global terrorism between the European Union and the United States. Six years have passed since the Bush administration decided to go on with the intervention, even though they did not have the necessary UN mandate. Due to unsuccessful argumentation in favour of the intervention by the Bush administration, the world got divided. George W. Bush reference to a ?war on terror?, which passed almost unnoticed by Americans, rang alarm bells in many European countries.

This thesis was created in an attempt to examine the concept of cultural heritage. What is cultural heritage to us and why do we treat it in the different ways we do? In my attempt to find an answer to this I have chosen to concentrate my interest on a situation where historical objects have been preserved as well as destroyed, Iraq 2003 until 2007. In my research I have divided the Iraqi cultural heritage in three different groups based on the different treatments they where exposed to during the occupation of Bagdad and the aftermath. For each group I have chosen one object or a category of objects to be a representative examined.

In a survey, conducted by Leif Berndtsson (2003), it was reported that there is a lack of external capital in rural areas. According to Berndtsson (2003) the lack of external capital inhibits the rural firm?s growth. Denna examensuppsats har undersökt hur läroböcker i ämnet historia för den svenska gymnasieskolan har framställt USA:s War on terror mellan åren 2003-2011. Utgångspunkten var Samuel P. Huntingtons teori att nutid och framtid kommer att präglas av krig mellan civilisationer, och att den västerländska och den muslimska civilisationen är två helt olika civilisationer med olösbara skillnader. Uppsatsens frågeställning löd: Hur framställs USA:s War on terror i läroböcker i historia och överensstämmer läroböckernas framställning med Samuel P. Huntingtons teori Clash of civilizations? Fem läroböcker undersöktes utifrån tre kriterier, jämn årsfördelning, olika förlag och olika författare.

I december 2003 gick filmen Kill Bill upp på biograferna med ett våldsamt och blodigt innehåll. Reaktionerna blev starka, vilket kan bero på att Kill Bill är en actionfilm där kvinnorna har en annan roll än den lättklädda medhjälparen. Då kvinnorna står i fokus var filmen som gjord för en analysav hur just kvinnan gestaltas i filmens värld. Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka om de patriarkala strukturerna förändras när typiskt manliga roller intas av kvinnor. Analysen inriktar sig främst på filmen Kill Bill, men diskuterar också det sammanhang i vilket filmen skapats och lanserats det vill säga filmindustrin i Hollywood som knappast gjort sig känd för några jämställdhetssträvanden.

AbstractThis study is based on my work as a secondary school teacher of literature and the Swedish language and rooted in my interest in developing knowledge about the importance of teaching literature in order to both cultivate young people?s reading habits and their view of themselves as readers. The more concrete purpose of this study is to examine a reading project that focuses on theories of literary perception and teaching literature.I examine four pupils who, in 2003, participated in the reading project as readers and compare this description with their view of themselves as readers seven years later. I complete the study by examining how they discuss reading and the teaching of literature. The method is qualitative and the empirics include materiel collected in two different time periods: first in 2003, in a class I taught in a secondary school; and second in 2010, when I examined four of the former pupils who participated in the project from 2003.

År 2003 gick USA och dess allierade in i Irak med motiveringen att Irak hade massförstörelsevapen, detta utan att FN:s säkerhetsråd utfärdat ett mandat. Kriget kritiserades hårt av många länder, bland annat Frankrike, Tyskland och även Sverige.Den svenska lagen säger att vapenhandel inte får bedrivas om det strider mot svensk utrikespolitik men får bedrivas om det finns säkerhets- eller försvarspoli-tiska skäl till det. Trots att Sverige kritiserade kriget fortsatte vapenhandeln med USA under tiden det fortgick. År 2003 exporterade Sverige krigsmateriel till USA för ett värde av 0,62 miljarder kronor. Sett till Sveriges kritik mot kriget skulle handeln inte ha fortsatt, men då USA är bland de största importörerna av svenska vapen skulle det vara ett hårt slag mot försvarsindustrin att förlora en så stor handelspartner..

Microsoft har utvecklat ett verktyg för informationsdelning och samarbete, detta mjukvarupaket är känt under namnet SharePoint teknologin. Vi har i detta examensarbete extraherat delarna av SharePoint teknologin. Vi fann, att paketet innefattar två huvudsakliga mjukvaruapplikationer som namnges SharePoint Services och SharePoint Portal Server 2003; vidare fann vi att SharePoint Service kan användas på egen hand, och att SharePoint Portal Server 2003 bara är en extension. I vår uppsats undersökte vi miljön som krävs för att åstadkomma en framgångsrik installation. Vi beskriver de olika systemarkitekturerna som paketet kan arbeta på och vilka andra mjukvaror som är nödvändiga för att använda SharePoint teknologin fullt ut.

Sweden became a member of the European Union in 1995. Consequently Sweden became obligated to implement the Working Time Directive 2003/88/EC (formerly termed 93/104/EC). At that time Sweden considered that their legislation already gave their employees as high level of protection as the directive prescribed. Instead they decided upon an adjustment of the collective agreements concerning working time. A particular EC-restriction was incorporated in the Working Hours Act (SFS 1982:673).

Previous research has shown that the market reacts on stock recommendations. As the Internet has made financial information more available and cheaper to assess one could believe that the market reflects more available information today. If this is true the market will react less on recommendation made by journalists, which generally consists of processed public information. The stock market should thus be more efficient according to the efficient market hypothesis. This study examines initially if we can conclude that stock recommendations made by journalists generate returns above the expected returns, hence abnormal returns.
