In this essay, I interview six users from the website darkside.se, which is an internet community for BDSM practitioners. I?m using Judith Butlers theorys about performativity and heteronormativity, Gayle Rubins model the charmed circle; of which sexualities is regarded as approved and which is not, and Fanny Ambjörnssons explenation of queer theory. With the interviews as my material, I investigate how sex and gender is produced and used in BDSM and at Darkside. I discuss trans, heteronormativity, sexism and hierarchies of power related to sex and gender, in BDSM and at Darkside.

The purpose of this study is to examine escort-business with a focus on sales of BDSM-services (Bondage and Discipline, Dominance and Submission, Sadism and Masochism). The study is based on qualitative interviews with three informants providing BDSM-services, as well as a survey with 96 men who requested domination of escorts (the survey was carried out by an escort in the 1980s). The analysis of this material resulted in the identification of three themes on which the study centers: The personal experiences of the three escorts, the interaction between the escorts and the clients, and the changes over time when it comes to the performance of BDSM-services. Denna uppsats syftar till att undersöka hur fyra sexuellt dominanta kvinnor uppfattar sin sexualitet. Särskilt inriktar den sig på hur kvinnorna definierar sig som sexuellt dominanta och vad dominans innebär för dem sexuellt men också till vardags och generellt. Vidare undersöks hur informanterna uppfattar sin sexuella dominans i relation till sin identitet och sitt identitetsskapande överlag. För att kunna verkställa syftet har fyra kvinnor intervjuats som alla definierar sig som sexuellt dominanta på ett eller annat vis. Fortsättningsvis inriktar sig uppsatsen på kvinnor som utövar sin sexuella dominans via aktiviteter och uttryck för dominans vanliga inom BDSM..

Syftet med studien var att studera vad som konstituerar dominans och underkastelse i sexuell praktik som ett psykologiskt fenomen. En gemensam term för dominans och underkastelse utgör Bondage Dominance Submission Sadomasochism, BDSM Praktiken dominans och underkastelse rymmer frågor om driftperspektiv, objektrelationsteori, kroppens fenomenologi, symbolisering, genus och frågan vad sexualitet är. Sju BDSM-utövare intervjuades och därefter bearbetades materialet med Empirical Phenomenological Psychological Method. Resultatet visar att praktiken utgör en identitet och en kreativ iscensättning av en inre psykologisk verklighet. Fenomenet innehåller en maktförskjutning med ömsesidig påverkan för att nå andra medvetandetillstånd.

Denna studie kom till efter att RFSU hade börjat arbeta med frågor om sadomasochism, och efter att Socialstyrelsen tog bort sadomasochism ur sin diagnosmanual. Syftet med studien är att ta reda på vilka diskurser som används när media talar om sadomasochism.Queerteori är det teoretiska fundamentet i studien. Jag utgår även från Michel Foucaults teorier. Min metod är foucauldiansk genealogisk diskursanalys. Analysmaterialet består av 33 tryckta artiklar från svenska dags- och kvällstidningar.Resultatet visar att talet om sadomasochism i media följer olika diskurser.

This qualitative study aims to study how sexuality is constructed in web articles on the movie Fifty Shades of Grey. The study is based on a social constructivist perspective where language is seen as constitutive of reality. The study is based on a Foucauldian discourse analysis which is used in order to see what is excluded and included in the articles? construction of normal sexuality. The result shows that there are similarities in how the web articles produce normal sexuality.

Self-efficacy är, delvis, beroende av generalisering genom vilken individen kan ta gamla erfarenheter till stöd inför aktuella situationer. Individer med undergiven roll i en 24/7 relation, inom Bondage-discipline, dominance-submission, sadism-masochism (BDSM) subkulturen, befinner sig i en, i högre grad, strukturerad vardag än individer med dominant roll. Detta bör leda till större erfarenhetsbank att generalisera från. Frågeställning är huruvida individerna med undergiven roll ligger på extremare nivåer av allmän och förhållandefokuserad self-efficacy, än de med dominant roll. En enkätundersökning genomfördes där den allmänna self-efficacyn testades med skalan översatt av Löve, Moor och Hensing (2011) och den förhållandefokuserade self-efficacyn med en egen översättning av Sherer, Maddux, Mercandante, Prentice-Dunn, Jacobs, och Rogers (1982) skala.
