Land management for food production is a fundamental human activity and one of the greatest challenges of the 21st century will be to increase the global food to accommodate a world growing to 10 billion or more people, while undergoing climate change. The increasing temperature and the current and projected increase in concentrations of CO2 lead to concern over possible impacts on agricultural pests. This assay is summarizing the knowledge of weeds in a changing climate in Sweden. Global warming and other climatic changes will affect the growth, phenology, and geographical distribution of weeds. The climate change will also affect the weed composition indirect by causing changes in the agriculture.

Utstationering av utländska arbetstagare i Sverige : Är Lex Britannia och Sveriges sätt att implementera utstationeringsdirektivet (96/71/EG) förenliga med EG-rätten?

The Latvian building company Laval un Partneri Ltd (Laval) posted Latvian construction workers at the rebuilding of a school in Vaxholm in autumn 2004. Because the company refused to sign a collective agreement with Svenska Byggnadsarbetareförbundet (Byggnads), which is the Swedish trade union for constructions workers, Byggnads put the construction site under a boycott. Next Laval sued Byggnads for damages in the Swedish Labour Court (AD) because Laval considers the boycott as well as Byggnad´s demand that Laval signs a collective agreement incompatible with EC Law. AD has now demanded a preliminary ruling from the European Court of Justice (ECJ). While waiting for the preliminary ruling from the ECJ, several important questions of principle stand unanswered.

From autumn 2008 Sweden has reinstalled the Special Education Needs teacher education. For future special education teachers and active teachers in the field, it is important to know the history and be aware of future visions to create a good role for the Special Education Needs teachers. This study examines attitudes towards special education and Special Education Needs teachers amongst school principals and classroom teachers at seven schools in Umeå municipality. School principals were interviewed, and a survey was handed out amongst the selected General Education teachers. From this it appears that school principals have a picture of special needs education and Special Education Needs teachers' work that corresponds well with the objectives of the school's governing documents.

Religionskunskap - Ett ämne i tiden? : En studie av kristendomens roll i ämnet religionskunskap

Before the autumn term 2011 the Swedish compulsory school adopted new syllabuses in relation to, inter alia, religion. Changes within the religion topic have historically been a heavily debated issue among decision-makers, interest groups and the church, where the role of the Christianity has been particularly controversial.The main purpose of this study is therefore to investigate how the Swedish compulsory school?s teaching of Christianity has changed over the years. I have in order to conduct this study applied a descriptive method as well as a content analysis. The Swedish compulsory school?s current and historical syllabuses in religion have served as basis for this study.The outcome of this study clearly shows that the Christianity has received less influence to the benefit of other topics.

Syftet med föreliggande studie är att undersöka hur synen på kvinnors rätt till högre studier framställs i den äldre svenska flickboken med bakgrund mot 1927 års skolreform och skolkommissionerna från 1918 och 1923, samt om den bild som förmedlas är av det äldre, patriarkala slaget eller mer modern och självständig i sin utformning. Vidare ämnar jag redogöra för dåtidens samhälleliga debatt rörande vidarestuderande kvinnor samt huruvida flickböckerna presenterar en realistisk bild av sin samtid. För att kunna göra detta analyserasåtta svenska flickböcker från den första hälften av 1900-talet enligt den hermeneutiska metoden och den narratologiska analysen. De böcker som behandlas är Barbro Betings ungflicksår (1917) och Studentklassen (1925) av Elisabeth Kuylenstierna-Wenster, Ullabella (1922) av Marika Stiernstedt, Vårdträdet (1938) av Jeanna Oterdahl, I livets vår (1939) ochIng-Britt och hennes friare (1941) av Maja Jäderin-Hagfors, Anne Vildkatts barn (1948) av Gerda Ghobé och Ingen oro för Sonja (1949) av Irma S:t Cyr Jonsson. Resultaten av analysen sätts sedan i relation till forskningsläget rörande den äldre svenska flickboken och dåtidens samhällsdebatt angående kvinnors utbildningsmöjligheter, för att se om dessa faktorer går atthärleda till varandra.

Lgy11: en kontrollerande läroplan. Samtal med fyra gymnasielärare

The autumn of 2011, saw a new curriculum being put to use in Swedish schools, a curriculum whose purpose was to supply the Swedish schools with a larger national equivalence. This new curriculum was meant to counter the strong variations in grading that the ministry of education felt was a result of the Lpo94, the curriculum previous to lgy11's introduction.With the introduction of the new curriculum there followed some changes to the objectives and emphasis on content prepared by teachers in the subject of religious studies. As a result this also affected the teachers planning and execution of the course and its content. From the perspective of a teacher-to-be I hold a great interest concerning how lgy11 affected the religious teachers planning of their lessons and teachings. This essay is written with the hope of being able to determine how some of the now active teachers perceive that they have been affected by the curriculum in its structure of teaching and planning and the content of material.

EAPPI - det Ekumeniska Följeslagarprogrammet i Palestina och Israel -En deskriptiv utvärdering och reflektion

During last autumn I have been studying the conflict between Israel and Palestine, both through books and at place in the area. The purpose has been to evaluate and reflect over EAPPI`s achievement (Ecumenical Accompaniment Programme in Palestine and Israel) and how it`s related to the goals of the organization. EAPPI is an interesting organization, mainly because it stands as a third part in the conflict. I have used a qualitative method for interviews and observations. The accompaniers, whom I have interviewed, represent three of seven placements in Israel/Palestine.

Köpmännens sunda handel : En fallstudie utifrån köpmannen Thunströms kvarlämnade räkenskap i Falun, perioden 1906-1914 och 1918-1922

Syftet med uppsatsen är att ta reda på hur avgörande nationella skolreformer mottagits och anammats på lokal nivå från år 1931 fram till och med läroplanen 1962. Undersökningen riktar in sig på den skoltidning som utgavs i Orsa, i norra Dalarna, under perioden 1931 och 1985. De teoretiska utgångspunkterna har i huvudsak hämtats från Tomas Englunds avhandling Samhällsorientering och medborgarfostran i svensk skola under 1900-talet. I uppsatsen ställs frågor om hur den skolpolitiska, de didaktiska och den pedagogiska utvecklingen, såsom den ter sig i Orsa skoltidning, stämmer överens med den motsvarande nationell utveckling och vilka pedagogiska och didaktiska åtgärder och konsekvenser reformerna fått på den lokala nivån. Resultatet visar på en stor grad av acceptans och anpassning hos lokalbefolkningen, men också motstånd och lokal självkänsla.

Studenters användning av referenstjänster: en användarundersökning vid Lunds universitetsbibliotek UB1, ht 1996

The main purpose of this study was to establish to what extent undergraduate students use reference services, what knowledge they have about those services and what their views of them are.The survey took place at Lund University Library, UB1, the main library responsible for collections in social sciences, humanities, theology and law. A total of 476 undergraduate students were asked to fill in a questionnaire, 273 accepted. The study is quantitative and was carried out during the autumn semester, 1996.The results show that the service used most frequently by undergraduate students is the reference collection. The least used service is the Internet, more than 50 percent of the students never use Internet at the University Library. In general, students are very pleased with the service given by the reference librarians, and with the collection of reference books.

En laptop till varje elev : en studie om gymnasieskolans satsning på datorer i undervisningen

The aim of this study is to highlight the computer as a learning resource in the education and give us knowledge about how the students uses the computer in year one in a selected High School where one computer per student were introduced in autumn 2011. The aim is also to contribute to the discussion about how the computer can become a natural learning resource for all students in all subjects, including the students in need of special support.How are the High School students using the computer?Are there differences in computer use, whether the student is in academic or vocational program?Are there differences in computer use between boys and girls?Do the student experience that the digital competence is increasing together with if they experience the computer as aid?In what degree do the teachers encourage the students to use the computer?How much do the students use the computer to learn mathematic?The study is based on a survey of all students in year one in a municipal High School.The result of the study is showing that the students first of all use the computer to play music, surf the Internet and to be logged in on social media (eg. Facebook). The students have learned to use the computer for the tasks they need, although the teachers don?t encourage the students to use the computer in any higher means, not in mathematics and not in other subjects.

Abstract I have made a Website called ?Art school? for Liljevalchs art Gallery, Culture administration in Stockholm and Culture school in Stockholm. It is with scholarship from these that this Website has been possible. The work whit the ?Art school? started in the autumn of 2005 and ended in May 2006 on distance from Stockholm towards Blekinge technology school in Karlshamn.

The Lugnetgymnasium in Falun has a graphic education that supplies a color printer, which is availablefor the students in their hall. The printer is a Ricoh AFC 6513 and it is a model that can handlevariable data. It was bought in the autumn of 2002. The teachers of the graphic education want to makeuse of the variable data function and procure a variable data software. The purpose of this project is toevaluate variable data software?s, so that the most suitable choice of software can be made for the graphiceducation.

User Interface Design for Analysis of Sensor Systems

In the future network-based Swedish Defence (NBD), attaining information superiority will be of great importance. This will be achieved by a network of networks where decision-makers, information- and weapon-systems are linked together. As a part of the development of NBD, we have performed a study of user interface design for a future network-based tool package for analysis of sensor systems, referred to as the C2SR-system. This thesis was performed at Ericsson Microwave Systems AB, Sensor and Information Networks, during the autumn 2002. A pre-study concerning the requirements of usability, trustworthiness and functionality of a user interface for the C2SR-system was performed.
