Detta examensarbete har utförts på uppdrag av Koenigsegg Automotive AB, som utvecklar, tillverkar och säljer högpresterande sportbilar. Företaget erbjuder fälgar tillverkade helt i kolfiberkomposit, som ger betydande viktbesparingar i jämförelse med traditionella metallfälgar.Efter tillverkningen kräver fälgarna viss bearbetning vid anläggningsytan mellan fälg och däck. Syftet med examensarbetet har varit att undersöka möjligheten att utföra bearbetningen av fälgarna in-house i Ängelholm, och målet har varit att konstruera en maskin för detta ändamål.Projektet inleddes med en litteratursökning, där svårigheter och möjligheter gällande bearbetning av kolfiberkompositer undersöktes. Till följd av de undersökningar som gjordes, valdes bearbetningsmetoden svarvfräsning och ett antal konstuktionskoncept genererades. Genom ett antal utvärderingar utvecklades ett speciellt koncept vidare till ett komplett produktförslag.Produktförslaget är komplett med analyser, beräkningar samt tillverkningsunderlag, som ger uppdragsgivaren bättre insikt i sina möjligheter.

The purpose of the study is to explore the internal implementation and communication of ecological sustainability within an organization and to identify obstacles and challenges that may arise. To address the study's purpose and research questions, a qualitative methodology and semi-structured interviews were used. Respondents were selected from two different units within a large global organization operating in the Automotive industry. The study's findings indicate that the organization's sustainability efforts are extensive and integrated across several departments. It is also evident that sustainability initiatives are primarily driven by upper management within the organization, although there is room for lower hierarchical levels to provide some feedback.

Completed durability testing of gearshift gaiters at Kongsberg Automotive in Mullsjö, is sometimes leading to discussions regarding whether or not a gaiter is supposed to be a pass or a fail. That is because the current pass/fail-criterion are a bit vague. A durability test takes around 4-5 weeks to complete which is a long time if the tested material does not pass the test and a new material has to be tested instead. Stricter pass/fail-criterions and a faster testing method for the materials are therefore desired.In order to develop a durable pass/fail criteria, seven already judged gaiters were chosen. Every one of the gaiters was put through detailed analysis, after which there were a new assessment of the gaiters.

Att vara en underleverantör i fordonsindustrin är en mycket tuff uppgift även när tiderna är goda. Men hur påverkar rådande marknadssituation en underleverantör? Syftet med studien är att ur ett institutionellt perspektiv, undersöka hur ekonomistyrningens regler och rutiner påverkas av en radikal förändring i omgivningen, hos en underleverantör i fordonsindustrin och hur detta samspelar med företagets strategi.

The use of subscription services directed towards customers has become a common phenomenon in a vast number of different industries. We have noticed a clear trend of new businesses emerging solely offering subscriptions, and existing companies altering sales of their products to become parts of subscriptions. But research has not caught up with this trend yet, especially regarding why it occurs and how it affects existing businesses internally. The purpose of this study is to examine the driving forces for change and examine how existing businesses have to change parts of their business models to offer subscription services. The premise of this study has been Vargo & Luschs (2004) Service Dominant Logic with their foundational premises and Business Model Canvas by Osterwalder et.

Purpose:  The purpose of this thesis is to examine how the major car companies have been affected by the global financial crisis. We would also want to look at how revenues and profits have been affected, and what the consequences have been both within the company and the market in general. It?s also interesting to see how profitability and financial stability has been affected. We had chosen to do a ?before-after? comparison, and we chose to compare the years 2007 and 2009.Boundaries: We have chosen to concentrate on a corporation in the Asian market, more specifically Toyota.

Today's competition in the industries puts high demands on the efficiency where each company has a quest for perfection.Arvika Smide has been through the thesis of Karlstad University, called for a situation analysis of aftertreatment whose effectiveness has not been fully desirable. The department includes the production steps blasting, quality control and packaging.The thesis contains the results from the situation analysis and comparisons of the calculations for selected reference period Q4 2009th.

Detta examensarbete har utförts vid Ekonomiska institutionen på Linköpings tekniska högskola. Uppdragsgivare har varit Kongsberg Automotive AB och Saab Training Systems AB. Syftet med detta arbete har varit att undersöka om värdeflödesanalys inom produktutveckling kan hjälpa företag att effektivisera utvecklingen av produkter. Metoden för värdeflödesanalys som vi valt att prova har tagits fram av MIT. Arbetets syfte var att pröva denna metod, detta gjordes genom att utföra två studier.

The purpose of thesis was to investigate and compare how two companies within pharmaceutical industry and nuclear power industry are currently working with quality development regarding continuous improvement and Lessons Learned in business processes. In addition, a simple comparison was made with the Automotiveindustry.McNeil AB are improving their processes continuously and are according to the findings of this report performing well in their pursuit of world-class pharmaceutical production. They have a well functioning process regarding improvements proposed in weekly improvement meetings engaging all employees. However, during interviews it was made clear that the functionality of the process which administer improvement proposals generated in addition to, or beside the weekly improvement meetings, were inadequate. McNeil AB is proposed to administer this through an IT solution instead of by paper and e-mail, that simplifies the process of adding, implementing and follow up an improvement proposal.The nuclear power plant Ringhals AB recently made major improvements in their business processes as well as the plant itself.

Detta examensarbete på C-nivå har genomförts i samarbete med Kongsberg Automotive i Mullsjö som utvecklar och tillverkar komponenter till fordons-industrin.Företaget har fått reklamationer på en växelväljare i deras sortiment och är en produkt som sitter i kundens lastbilar och bussar. Felen har uppträtt relativt sällan men med tillräckligt stor marginal för att de ska klassas som allvarliga fel. Dessa fel är kopplade till den magnetarm som kommunicerar med transmissionen i fordonet och konsekvensen av dessa fel blir att fordonet blir obrukbart och måste bärgas bort.Syftet med detta examensarbete är att författaren på ett ingenjörsmässigt sätt ska angripa problemen med magnetarmen till växelväljaren på så sätt att grundorsaken bakom kan säkerställas. Målet för arbetet är att hitta dessa grundorsaker till varför magnetarmen går sönder, eller hoppas ur sitt läge, samt att ta fram en design som hindrar att problemen uppstår igen.För att strukturera arbetet har författaren använt sig av en problemlösningsmetod som heter Six Sigma DMAIC. Det är den här metoden som hela projektet och därmed rapporten är uppbyggt kring.Författaren kom fram till att grundorsakerna till problemen som uppstått med magnetarmen hade grundat sig i konstruktionen av de komponenter som sköter funktionen med produktens växelknappar.
