Övervakningssystem har haft en viktig roll i samhället under en lång period. Syftet med dessa systemen har inte ändrats, det är alltid säkerhetsaspekten som har varit huvudpunkten. Effektiviteten på ett övervakningssystem beror oftast på den mänskliga faktorn, någon måste bearbeta bildflödet som spelas in för att dra definitiva slutsatser. Under senare år har dessa övervakningssystem, i takt med teknologins utveckling, blivit mer intelligenta. Metoder som tillämpar automatisk analysering av en given bild har introducerats, vissa av dessa tekniker har redan hunnit bli en standard. Denna studie ska utveckla en prototyp som använder sig av tekniken och stresstesta för att identifiera eventuella brister.

The purpose of this Bachelor's thesis is to study the reasoning behind classification, cataloging and shelf arrangement of nonfiction graphic novels in public libraries. The aim was to examine which aspects of accessibility influence in which collection nonfiction graphic novels are placed.With qualitative semi-structured interviews we learned how six librarians motivated their choices concerning nonfiction graphic novels. We also interviewed a cataloger from Bibliotekstjänst to examine how nonfiction graphic novels are classified. In our analysis we compared our results to theories and practices concerning alternative shelf arrangements in libraries and legitimization of graphic novels. We found three types of shelf arrangements for nonfiction graphic novels: graphic novel shelf, nonfiction classification code and a mix of the two.

Abstract: The aim of this study is to investigate the attitudes towards the labour movement?s strategies, goals and organisational issues in Swedish Miners? Union?s (Gruvindustriarbetareförbundet, hereafter Gruv) paper, Gruvarbetaren 1917-1925.The theoretical starting point is Engels? view on the class state. This perspective turns the question of socialism and the way to get there into an issue of working class power over the state. Another theoretical perspective is the partition of the labour movement into a trade-unionistic branch, seeing unions as financial organisations of interest, and a pro-state one, considering unions as political organisations.During the period investigated Gruvarbetaren was quite radical and advocated a firm class struggle strategy towards employers. Since these were considered unreliable, class struggle was seen as the only way to better the conditions for the working class.

Using a feministic perspective and a critical approach, my purpose is to discuss bibliographic classification, a central aspect of Library and Information Science. More specifically, my aim is to demonstrate the norms and the dominating thoughts regarding the organization and representation of knowledge, subjects, and social categories in classification systems. I review previous research involving critical approaches to classification. These show that classification systems are a reflection of the context in which they are created, with the result that universal assumptions can be questioned. Some studies also present problems inherent in hierarchical structures.

The aim of this thesis is to describe and evaluate the usability of two Swedish systems, Sofie and Carlotta, which are used to organize and present data regarding museum objects on the web. This thesis also presents how objects are described and made accessible to the public in the two systems. To evaluate the usability, a heuristic method combined with Systematic Usability Evaluation has been used. The description and accessibility of object representations in the systems are evaluated using indexing and classification theories from the field of Library and Information Science. Additional theoretical background that has been used is how users search and browse information systems.

Denna rapport beskriver ett examensarbete för högskoleingenjörsexamen i elektroteknik vid Växjö Universitet. Syftet är att konstruera ett styrsystem till en robotbil, ett program som hindrar bilen från att krocka med omgivningen. Roboten ska även kunna styras från en dator via ett grafiskt gränssnitt implementerat i Labview. Nödvändig hårdvara för styrning och kommunikation har konstruerats.Det har behövts tre olika programmeringsspråk för att nå de krav som har ställts på uppgiften, C, Perl och Labview. Microprocessorn i robotbilen har programmerats i C och gör bilen helt autonom, endast beroende av signaler från avståndssensorer.

The Library of Uppsala University has decided to change their classification system from the Swedish SAB system to the American Dewey Decimal Classification. One of the main reasons for this decison was that Kungliga biblioteket also has made an exchange between these systems. Due to that, the national bibliography of Sweden classifies Swedish documents according to Dewey Decimal Classification and the SAB system is no longer maintained. A transition to Dewey Decimal Classification will enable Swedish librarians to import foreign catalouge posts and classification codes and will provide them with a common standard between their libraries and other libraries due to the use of the same international classification system. It is disputed whether the Dewey Decimal Classification is equally suitable for all subjects.

Detta examensarbetes mål äratt ta fram en eller flera lösningar som möter krav och tekniska förutsättningar för att utöka företagetDGC:s tjänst IP-VPN för IPv6. Detta innefattar adresstilldelningstekniker som prefixdelegeringoch automatisk adresskonfigurering i befintlig nätinfrastruktur.Lösningarna presenteras i sex framtagna scenarier som har undersökts utifrån tester, analys ocherfarna problem som uppstått. Undersökningen formade kriterierna skalbarhet, konfigurationenskomplexitet, kompatibilitet, RFC-stöd och krav från DGC som tas hänsyn till i utvärderingen avden bäst lämpade lösningen.Utvärderingen har gett ett resultat i form av ett rekommenderat scenario som är implementerbartenligt uppsatta mål.Tekniker som skulle kunna påverka valet av bäst lämpade lösning, men som inte är tillgängliga,diskuteras och presenteras för att poängtera vad som kan behövas tas i beaktande för framtiden..

The purpose of this thesis is to study the relationship between the definition and bibliographical classification of a certain academic subject; social anthropology. The theoretical framework consists of views held in Information Science regarding the definition and classification of subjects. The methodological onset is based on hermeneutical concepts that allow an extended analysis of abstract structures of thought. This analysis comprises of two parts; a descriptive analysis and a comparative analysis. The result of the descriptive analysis, whose aim is to describe the academic subject social anthropology, shows that this is not easy to define, instead it is nowadays almost the same as cultural anthropology.

Ett lagförslag som lades fram år 2003 vilket om det gick igenom skulle innebära att en stor del av de kunder som är anslutna till elnätet kommer att behöva elmätare som går att läsa av automatiskt. En automatisk avläsning innebär att elbolagen kan läsa av mätaren oftare och därigenom debitera kunden för faktisk förbrukning i stället för dagens schablonberäkning som korrigeras efter en manuell avläsning. Kunden kan även få ut information om när han eller hon förbrukar som mest el och därefter anpassa sig för att minska förbrukningen. Syftet med detta arbete har varit att ta fram en enkel och billig lösning för insamling av mätdata över elnätet. Enheten som togs fram kan strömförsörjas från en befintlig elmätare och logga förbrukning via dess S0-pulsutgång.

Syftet med det här examensarbetet var att undersöka hur förskollärare vid två förskoloruppfattar begreppet "lärande för hållbar utveckling" samt hur det kommer till uttryck iverksamheten. Syftet var vidare att undersöka hur sociala aspekter av lärande för hållbarutveckling levandegörs i förskolepraktiken. De sociala aspekterna i denna studie är hur barn ges möjlighet till inflytande, hur barn ges möjlighet till kritiskt tänkande samt förskollärarens demokratiska förhållningssätt. Vi ville med studien också uppmärksamma möjligheterna attarbeta medvetet kring dessa frågor i förskolan vars grund vi antog redan finns iverksamheterna. Vi valde att göra undersökningen som en fallstudie med en samtalsmetod som kallas stimulated recall, samt observationer av verksamheten med hjälp av ettobservationsschema.

Utvecklingen av kontextmedvetna applikationer har gett informationsteknologin nya möjligheter att låta användningen av tekniken gå mot den värld som beskrivs i Ubiquitous Computing. Forskning visar att en automatisk kontextanpassning kan ha negativ effekt på en användares tillit mot en applikations beteende. Därför har vi undersökt hur feedback kan användas för att generera en känsla av tillit mellan en användare och en kontextmedveten applikation. I genomförandet använde vi en explorativ designstudie. För att bygga vår undersökning från en teoretiskt informerad grund utformade vi ett antal designprinciper från teorier inom relaterade områden.

Weland AB är ett familjeföretag som startade 1947 med sitt huvudkontor i Smålandsstenar. Här finns ungefär 250 anställda som jobbar på ca 60 000 kvadratmeter. Ryggraden i Welands verksamhet är tillverkning av pressvetsad gallerdurk som går att se i konstruktioner som trappor, både spiral och raka.Projektet grundar sig i att ljudnivån vid en maskin för kapning av gallerdurk är hög och därför har personalomsättningen också varit hög. Syftet med projektet är att konstruera komplement till en kapmaskin för att göra den helautomatisk. Det skulle göra att en operatör inte behöver vara närvarande mer än för att förse maskinen med material, programmera maskinen och bortföra pallar med färdigt gods.

The purpose of this Master?s thesis is to study how well the online catalogue of The Music Library of Sweden works when ordinary users are searching for sheet music. The issues studied are: Why do the users fail to find the sheet music they are looking for? Do the users take advantage of the possibilities that the classification codes of the SAB system offer? If not, why?The source material of the study is 144 comments from a user questionnaire about the online catalogue and, in addition, the search log for one day (513 queries). The comments were sorted into seven groups depending on the type of information need, for example searches for certain instrumentation or genres and problems with spelling.
